Introducing the new orangutan. | 0:00:44 | 0:00:48
They live deep in the forests
of the island of Sumatra. | 0:00:48 | 0:00:52
Scientists discovered
that they are a new species. | 0:00:52 | 0:00:54
They are different from other great
apes, like gorillas and chimpanzees. | 0:00:54 | 0:01:04
Until now it was thought
there were two species of orangutan, | 0:01:05 | 0:01:11
the Sumatran and the Borneon. | 0:01:11 | 0:01:12
But this species is another. | 0:01:12 | 0:01:22
The scientists found the species 20
years ago but have it to study them | 0:01:22 | 0:01:30
close to reveal their secrets. | 0:01:30 | 0:01:34
Lots of tiny but important
differences tell them apart, | 0:01:34 | 0:01:37
the sound of their call,
what they eat and they look | 0:01:37 | 0:01:41
different, which the researchers can
measure by looking closely | 0:01:41 | 0:01:44
and comparing size of skulls
to other orangutan species. | 0:01:44 | 0:01:49
It is an amaidsing break through. | 0:01:49 | 0:01:51
There are only seven species,
so adding one to the small | 0:01:51 | 0:01:56
list is spectacular. | 0:01:56 | 0:02:00
But as they have been discovered,
the animals now go to the top | 0:02:00 | 0:02:03
of the list of the most endangered
species in the world. | 0:02:03 | 0:02:12
Only 800 exist, conservationists
hope that now people know | 0:02:12 | 0:02:14
they are so special people will act
to protect them. | 0:02:14 | 0:02:17
In the Scottish Premiership, Celtic
take on St Johnstone this afternoon. | 0:02:17 | 0:02:21
They'll break their own
record for unbeaten games | 0:02:21 | 0:02:24
if they can avoid defeat. | 0:02:24 | 0:02:25
They're currently on 62
matches without a loss! | 0:02:25 | 0:02:30
It's almost half time
and the score is 1-0 to Celtic. | 0:02:30 | 0:02:34

going to a bonfire tonight. | 0:02:34 | 0:02:37

place all weekend so loads of us | 0:02:37 | 0:02:40
will be enjoying fireworks
and sparklers today and tomorrow. | 0:02:40 | 0:02:43
But while they look pretty amazing,
fireworks can travel at a speed | 0:02:43 | 0:02:47
of a racing car - so they're not
to mess around with! | 0:02:47 | 0:02:51
We've got some top tips on how
to keep safe and have fun over | 0:02:51 | 0:02:54

from bonfires and fireworks. | 0:03:08 | 0:03:14
Never touch sparklers or fireworks
without a grown-up being there. | 0:03:14 | 0:03:19
On Bonfire Night keep pets in doors
as they may be scared of the noise. | 0:03:19 | 0:03:26
Wrap up warm and wear your
coat, scarf and hat. | 0:03:26 | 0:03:32
Make sure you are wearing gloves
when holding sparklers and make sure | 0:03:32 | 0:03:35
you get your parents to light them. | 0:03:35 | 0:03:38

But zoo keepers across the country
have been saving the spooky | 0:04:20 | 0:04:23
