You're watching Newsround with Jenny. First, Newsround has spent

the afternoon with the Prime Minister to ask him your questions

about school sport. Last year, David Cameron promised that all primary

schools in England would get around ?9,000 each to spend on sport every

year until 2016. But today he said that schools will now keep on

getting that money until 2020. But there has been some criticism over

how the government deals with sport in schools. Martin went to meet the

PM. Why is this exclusive to primary schools, why not expand the idea to

secondary schools? If you want to change sport and increase it, you

need to start with primary schools because that's children at an early

age. All schools need sports it makes

sense to basically give the money to all schools, the bigger schools get

slightly more money and the smaller schools get slightly less money but

a 250 pupil primary school will get the money.

The more sport, the better. Some children like PE, some like to play

football or rugby, some children want to experiment with new sports

like tennis or dancing. The variety is really good for children.

Whatever it is, we want more. I went to a mainstream school and are used

to get sent to the library when PE was on. What ensures that doesn't

happen to kids with physical disabilities or special needs? This

programme should be for all children, those with disabilities

and those without. The money matters because sometimes you do need

specialist teachers and people with expertise who know how to involve

disabled children in sports and sporting activities.

The opposition Labour Party say this extra money is a good idea but think

the Government were wrong to get rid of one of their plans to make all

primary school children in England do two hours of sport a week. And

one of the biggest teaching unions, the NUT, is welcoming the extra

money, but says given that many primary schools don't have dedicated

PE teachers, it doesn't add up to a great deal.

The 22nd Winter Games doesn't officially get underway until

tomorrow but a few events have already started. Britain's Jamie

Nicholls has already qualified for the final of the slopestyle

snowboarding competition, and later tonight it's the ladies' moguls

skiing, and the group figure skating. That's all from me, bye!
