Hi there, thanks for joining us.

0:00:040:00:05

I'm Jenny, you are watching Newsround, live from CBBC HQ,

0:00:050:00:08

on this rainy Saturday lunchtime.

0:00:080:00:11

Coming up...

0:00:110:00:13

It's a big day for rugby fans on Earth and in space...

0:00:130:00:18

And the footie manager with two left feet.

0:00:180:00:20

This is Newsround.

0:00:200:00:23

First, a massive earthquake has toppled buildings and caused huge

0:00:300:00:33

damage in the south of Taiwan, off the coast of China.

0:00:330:00:36

Rescue teams have been working, throughout the night,

0:00:360:00:38

to save hundreds of people who live there.

0:00:380:00:42

The earthquake struck close to the southern city of Tainan,

0:00:420:00:47

on the small island of Taiwan, in the early hours of the morning.

0:00:470:00:50

It's an area where earthquakes often happen,

0:00:500:00:53

but they aren't usually so big.

0:00:530:00:55

I just woke up suddenly and the whole building was shaking.

0:00:550:00:57

It was quite loud, noisy and I wasn't sure how long

0:00:570:01:00

it was going to last.

0:01:000:01:04

Firefighters, police and the army

0:01:040:01:06

are all working together to rescue people and animals

0:01:060:01:08

from the rubble.

0:01:080:01:11

But a lot of places are hard to reach.

0:01:110:01:13

Shelters are being set up for people whose homes have been badly damaged.

0:01:130:01:17

There are power cuts too and public transport has been stopped.

0:01:170:01:21

Exactly how much damage has been done is still not known,

0:01:210:01:24

but rescuers continue to work hard to make people safe.

0:01:240:01:30

OK, let's get some sport now.

0:01:300:01:32

It's time for all you rugby fans out there to get up

0:01:320:01:34

and support your country.

0:01:340:01:35

Why?

0:01:350:01:37

Because the Six Nations tournament starts today.

0:01:370:01:39

Head online to tell us who you'll be cheering

0:01:390:01:41

for, and why.

0:01:410:01:42

But first, here's Martin with everything you need to know.

0:01:420:01:46

Which team will come out on top at this year's Six Nations?

0:01:460:01:56

Current champions Ireland have a tough opening match

0:01:570:01:59

against Wales and they're missing a lot of their star players.

0:01:590:02:02

Luckily, they still have their captain Rory Best to keep

0:02:020:02:04

them going strong.

0:02:040:02:05

Wales captain Sam Warburton has called on his team-mates to start

0:02:050:02:08

this year's Six Nations with a bang.

0:02:080:02:09

The player to look out for is number 9, Gareth Davies.

0:02:090:02:12

New coach Eddie Jones' England team will be hoping to prove themselves

0:02:120:02:15

after a disappointing World Cup.

0:02:150:02:17

New captain Dylan Hartley will lead the team out against Scotland.

0:02:170:02:22

Scotland failed to win a single game

0:02:220:02:25

at last year's Six Nations.

0:02:250:02:26

But the players will feel more confident this year

0:02:260:02:28

after an impressive World Cup.

0:02:280:02:30

France welcome Italy this weekend and they are hoping to finish

0:02:300:02:36

in the top half of the table

0:02:360:02:38

for the first time in four years.

0:02:380:02:40

Watch this space.

0:02:400:02:41

The Italians will be looking to some new players to get the result

0:02:410:02:44

they need when they travel to Paris.

0:02:440:02:45

Watch out for fly-half Carlo Canna.

0:02:450:02:47

It promises to be a fantastic tournament.

0:02:470:02:48

The thing is, only one team can lift the trophy.

0:02:480:02:51

Who will it be?

0:02:510:02:57

Thanks, Martin.

0:02:570:02:57

And here's proof the Six Nations really is

0:02:570:02:59

out of this world.

0:02:590:03:02

A special feed of today's Scotland v England match will be

0:03:020:03:05

shown on the International Space Station, so big fan

0:03:050:03:09

Tim Peake, won't have to miss a second.

0:03:090:03:13

Well, it's been another busy week for Tim.

0:03:130:03:16

As well as getting excited about the rugby and working hard

0:03:160:03:18

on the ISS, of course, he found time to speak to hundreds

0:03:180:03:21

of school kids in Liverpool.

0:03:210:03:22

Leah was there, too.

0:03:220:03:24

300 children from across the UK here to put their questions

0:03:240:03:27

to Major Tim Peake.

0:03:270:03:32

But not only that - around 300,000 children are also

0:03:320:03:36

moment live, too.

0:03:360:03:43

Hello to the World Museum in Liverpool.

0:03:430:03:45

I hear you loud and clear.

0:03:450:03:47

Welcome on board the International Space Station to you and everybody

0:03:470:03:49

who is following the Cosmic Classroom on the Internet.

0:03:490:03:51

Good afternoon.

0:03:510:03:52

ALL: Good afternoon.

0:03:520:03:53

What is your favourite button on the ISS and what does it do?

0:03:530:03:57

This button on this panel here actually opens up the door

0:03:570:04:01

to outer space.

0:04:010:04:05

Is there a possibility of a meteor or a space junk hitting the ISS?

0:04:050:04:08

Actually, we do get hit by small particles every day.

0:04:080:04:14

And, if ever we are in any danger, then the ISS will simply move out

0:04:140:04:17

of the way and we will shift all of it to get out of the way

0:04:170:04:21

of any space debris.

0:04:210:04:22

But it's a great question.

0:04:220:04:23

I was really excited for waiting for being able to go up

0:04:230:04:26

and see him answer it live.

0:04:260:04:32

What is your favourite science experiment

0:04:320:04:33

on the International Space Station?

0:04:330:04:35

I do like the vegetables and flowers that we're growing in space.

0:04:350:04:38

I think that's really interesting that we can start

0:04:380:04:40

to grow our own food.

0:04:400:04:42

It felt amazing, cos, like...

0:04:420:04:45

not a lot of people can just do that one day.

0:04:450:04:49

I think it's amazing how we've actually just spoken

0:04:490:04:51

to an astronaut.

0:04:510:04:52

Tim's expected back in June, but for now he will continue

0:04:520:04:56

to inspire as many children as he can back down on Planet Earth.

0:04:560:05:02

And, finally, do you want to see a Premier League manager

0:05:020:05:05

doing some classic dad dancing?

0:05:050:05:08

Of course you do.

0:05:080:05:12

Here's Everton Manager Roberto Martinez

0:05:120:05:15

showing off his best moves at a Jason Derulo concert.

0:05:150:05:18

Here's what he said when a reporter asked about his crazy moves.

0:05:180:05:22

I've got better moves, believe me. Probably that was the worst move.

0:05:220:05:24
