It's 8.15 on Thursday, 6th April.

0:00:070:00:09

You're watching Newsround with me, Jenny.

0:00:090:00:10

We're live for the next six minutes.

0:00:100:00:12

Coming up:

0:00:120:00:13

Why Pepsi have pulled their latest advert.

0:00:130:00:15

And the spacecraft on its final mission to discover more

0:00:150:00:19

about Saturn's rings.

0:00:190:00:29

First, the US President, Donald Trump, is among the world

0:00:300:00:32

leaders who have been reacting in shock this week after chemical

0:00:320:00:35

weapons were apparently used in the war in Syria.

0:00:350:00:39

At least 72 people died on Monday.

0:00:390:00:41

But what exactly are chemical weapons, and why do

0:00:410:00:44

they cause such outrage?

0:00:440:00:47

Chemical weapons are toxic chemicals that are used to hurt - or kill.

0:00:470:00:51

They were used in World War One more than 100 years ago.

0:00:510:00:54

They caused such horror that in 1925, countries agreed

0:00:540:00:59

to an international ban on using them in war.

0:00:590:01:03

Even in war, there are rules that countries agree to -

0:01:030:01:06

some of those are about the types of weapons that can be used.

0:01:060:01:09

20 years ago, there was an agreement called

0:01:090:01:12

the Chemical Weapons Convention.

0:01:120:01:14

192 nations, including Syria, have signed it,

0:01:140:01:19

agreeing to destroy all their chemical weapons.

0:01:190:01:22

That's why there's a lot of anger about the suspected attack

0:01:220:01:24

in a country that's been at war for more than six years.

0:01:240:01:29

For a full explanation of what's going on in Syria,

0:01:290:01:33

go online now for our guide to the conflict there.

0:01:330:01:35

In other news, Pepsi have pulled their latest advert

0:01:350:01:38

after lots of negative comments on social media.

0:01:380:01:41

Model Kendall Jenner stars in the ad, where a protest

0:01:410:01:44

is taking place in America.

0:01:440:01:49

She walks up to a police officer, hands him a can of Pepsi and then

0:01:490:01:52

everyone cheers and hugs.

0:01:520:01:53

People have complained because they say it makes light

0:01:530:01:55

of recent US protests against how police

0:01:550:01:57

treat black people.

0:01:570:01:59

Pepsi have apologised, saying they "clearly missed the mark".

0:01:590:02:03

After their shock weekend defeat to Crystal Palace,

0:02:030:02:05

Premier League leaders Chelsea are back on track

0:02:050:02:07

in the title race.

0:02:070:02:09

They held off Manchester City with a 2-1 win last night.

0:02:090:02:13

Eden Hazard gave Chelsea the early lead before

0:02:130:02:16

Sergio Aguero equalised for City with this goal.

0:02:160:02:19

But Chelsea were back in front before half-time,

0:02:190:02:22

thanks again to Eden Hazard.

0:02:220:02:25

Big win.

0:02:250:02:31

It's always difficult to play against Manchester City.

0:02:310:02:33

When they start to play, you need to defend well, and we did.

0:02:330:02:37

We scored two goals today, so we are happy to stay top

0:02:370:02:40

of the league with seven points.

0:02:400:02:41

Well, if you're not a fan of that type of sport,

0:02:410:02:44

maybe you'd like to give eSports a try.

0:02:440:02:46

Loads of students have been taking part in a schools Rocket League

0:02:460:02:49

competition in London and our new reporter

0:02:490:02:54

Whitney went to meet them.

0:02:540:02:55

On sports day, you run 100 metres, you try your best at the egg

0:02:550:02:58

and spoon race or hit the rounders ball as far as possible.

0:02:580:03:01

But should your school have an eSports team?

0:03:010:03:03

I'm here at an eSports tournament in London,

0:03:030:03:13

schools have just started.

0:03:150:03:16

This is Team R3, who've got through to the final.

0:03:160:03:18

How different is this, Jonathan, compared to football or tennis?

0:03:180:03:21

It's very different because we're in cars

0:03:210:03:22

and we're knocking a ball around.

0:03:220:03:24

So it's fun to play and not having lessons and normal stuff to do.

0:03:240:03:27

And communication is key. I've seen you guys play.

0:03:270:03:29

How do you motivate each other?

0:03:290:03:31

We say, "Let's hope we don't lose this game".

0:03:310:03:33

Do you think eSports should be included in school sports day?

0:03:330:03:38

Yeah, I think it's quite good because people that can't run

0:03:380:03:40

or are not good at it can be good computer games.

0:03:400:03:45

I was bad at every single sport, including swimming.

0:03:450:03:47

I was the worst.

0:03:470:03:57

I'm sat here with a professional eSports player, Ryan,

0:04:020:04:04

also known as DoomZ.

0:04:040:04:05

Which one are we going for today?

0:04:050:04:07

DoomZ.

0:04:070:04:08

Do you think eSports should be included in school sports days?

0:04:080:04:10

I think that would be quite fun.

0:04:100:04:12

Having as much variety as possible is always a great idea.

0:04:120:04:15

In sports and eSports, your mental game is extremely important.

0:04:150:04:17

So you have to be on top form.

0:04:170:04:19

You have to make sure you're eating right and you're healthy.

0:04:190:04:22

I think that's what's similar.

0:04:220:04:23

It's just the physical aspect that's different.

0:04:230:04:24

I'm going.

0:04:240:04:25

Right, I don't know how to play this.

0:04:250:04:27

I think this needs to be left to the professionals,

0:04:270:04:30

because I have no idea of what I'm doing.

0:04:300:04:34

Finally - a spacecraft that's been orbiting around the planet Saturn

0:04:340:04:37

for the past 13 years is about to start the final

0:04:370:04:40

part of its mission.

0:04:400:04:42

Watch this.

0:04:420:04:43

Meet Cassini.

0:04:430:04:49

It's been circling Saturn since 2004 after a seven year

0:04:490:04:51

journey through the solar system.

0:04:510:04:55

Its mission?

0:04:550:04:56

To find out more about the planet and its family of rings and moons.

0:04:560:05:01

But not for much longer.

0:05:010:05:05

It's going to be put out of action because it's

0:05:050:05:08

running out of fuel, but before that, it's got a pretty

0:05:080:05:10

important job to do.

0:05:100:05:11

For the next five months, the spacecraft will dive

0:05:110:05:14

through the 2,400-kilometer gap between Saturn and its rings, as

0:05:140:05:17

part of the mission's grand finale.

0:05:170:05:20

But that's not all.

0:05:200:05:22

Oh, no.

0:05:220:05:23

This will happen not once, but 22 times.

0:05:230:05:27

On the final orbit, Cassini will plunge into Saturn,

0:05:270:05:30

fighting to keep its antennae pointed at Earth as it

0:05:300:05:34

sends its goodbye message.

0:05:340:05:37

It's hoped the craft's final findings will help us understand

0:05:370:05:42

how giant planets form and grow over time.

0:05:420:05:47

Pretty good for a final outing.

0:05:470:05:51

That's all from me.

0:05:510:05:52

Newsround's back on CBBC this afternoon at 4:20 with Leah.
