Hi, I'm Martin, and this is Newsround.

If you went back to school today perhaps you noticed some changes -

maybe the grass had been cut, or there was a new display

One group of kids in Bristol got a big surprise

when they went back to school and found a mural by famous graffiti

It happened after they'd decided to name one of the school

Here's what one of the kids felt about discovering

Have you ever wondered what it takes to launch a rocket into space?

Jenny's been to meet the school teams from around the UK who've been

finding out just that in a cosmic competition.

Three...two... one...zero...

These students have been learning to make their own mini rockets

with some expert help, and there's only a little time left

34 school teams from across the country have been taking part

in the UK Rocketry Challenge, and today, it's the finals.

Teams have to build, launch and land the rocket safely.

It's got to get high enough in the air and keep flying for long

enough, and all the time keeping its contents,

I'm, like, really nervous but I'm really excited at the same time.

Probably the funnest bit for me would be, like, when you get

We've already been through to the regional finals, and launched

and launched our rocket, and it came off.

We, like, rebuilt it and made it better and quite a bit faster today.

But safety is at the top of the agenda.

You don't launch when there's people around, cars around,

aeroplanes around, or animals around, cos you can scare animals.

It has to be done responsibly and with adults.

The rockets are ready, and it's almost time for lift-off.
