Hi, I'm Martin, and this is Newsround. | :00:11. | :00:12.
If you went back to school today perhaps you noticed some changes - | :00:13. | :00:15.
maybe the grass had been cut, or there was a new display | :00:16. | :00:18.
One group of kids in Bristol got a big surprise | :00:19. | :00:22.
when they went back to school and found a mural by famous graffiti | :00:23. | :00:25.
It happened after they'd decided to name one of the school | :00:26. | :00:31.
Here's what one of the kids felt about discovering | :00:32. | :00:35.
One hundred million per cent yes, really shocked. | :00:36. | :00:41.
Thank you so much for this really good picture. | :00:42. | :00:48.
Have you ever wondered what it takes to launch a rocket into space? | :00:49. | :00:51.
Jenny's been to meet the school teams from around the UK who've been | :00:52. | :00:55.
finding out just that in a cosmic competition. | :00:56. | :00:59.
Three...two... one...zero... | :01:00. | :01:03.
A huge rocket heading into space with astronauts inside. | :01:04. | :01:07.
These students have been learning to make their own mini rockets | :01:08. | :01:13.
with some expert help, and there's only a little time left | :01:14. | :01:16.
34 school teams from across the country have been taking part | :01:17. | :01:21.
in the UK Rocketry Challenge, and today, it's the finals. | :01:22. | :01:25.
Teams have to build, launch and land the rocket safely. | :01:26. | :01:28.
It's got to get high enough in the air and keep flying for long | :01:29. | :01:31.
enough, and all the time keeping its contents, | :01:32. | :01:34.
I'm, like, really nervous but I'm really excited at the same time. | :01:35. | :01:40.
Probably the funnest bit for me would be, like, when you get | :01:41. | :01:43.
We've already been through to the regional finals, and launched | :01:44. | :01:49.
and launched our rocket, and it came off. | :01:50. | :01:50.
We, like, rebuilt it and made it better and quite a bit faster today. | :01:51. | :01:54.
But safety is at the top of the agenda. | :01:55. | :01:56.
You don't launch when there's people around, cars around, | :01:57. | :01:58.
aeroplanes around, or animals around, cos you can scare animals. | :01:59. | :02:01.
It has to be done responsibly and with adults. | :02:02. | :02:04.
The rockets are ready, and it's almost time for lift-off. | :02:05. | :02:07.
It was actually really good, like, we expected it just to fall. | :02:08. | :02:21.
I'm really happy the parachute came out, otherwise it | :02:22. | :02:23.
The winners will now be heading to Farnborough Airshow in July | :02:24. | :02:27.
to compete against teams from around the world. | :02:28. | :02:33.
Football news now - or rather, a lack of it. | :02:34. | :02:35.
After his impressive season at Leicester City, superclub | :02:36. | :02:38.
Arsenal is hoping to tempt star striker Jamie Vardy to move. | :02:39. | :02:42.
but Vardy has keeping fans in suspense, and he boarded | :02:43. | :02:47.
where he's playing for England in the Euros, without | :02:48. | :02:51.
I've been taking a look at his career so far. | :02:52. | :02:57.
Jamie Vardy was just 16 years old when he was released | :02:58. | :03:06.
by Sheffield Wednesday for being too small. | :03:07. | :03:09.
Now, more than ten years later, he is Leicester City's star striker, | :03:10. | :03:17.
who helped them to win the Premier League for the first | :03:18. | :03:19.
In 2012, Leicester City bought Vardy from Fleetwood Town for ?1 million. | :03:20. | :03:24.
In his first season with the club, he only scored four goals | :03:25. | :03:27.
and thought about quitting football completely. | :03:28. | :03:30.
He broke records, becoming the first player ever to score in 11 | :03:31. | :03:37.
Now, he's joining the England team in France as they head | :03:38. | :03:46.
But where next for Leicester's super striker? | :03:47. | :03:56.
Finally, a special royal announcement. | :03:57. | :03:57.
In March, the Radio Times magazine launched a competition for children | :03:58. | :04:00.
to design the front cover for the Queen's 90th birthday. | :04:01. | :04:02.
They received over 11,000 entries, and I'm proud to be able to announce | :04:03. | :04:05.
Ayesha Mahmood, with this lovely crown design. | :04:06. | :04:08.
Our very own Ayshah's been catching up with her. | :04:09. | :04:12.
You've just won this Radio Times competition for the cover. | :04:13. | :04:15.
Happy, excited, and I'm really proud of myself. | :04:16. | :04:19.
That's very precise, and you beat them all? | :04:20. | :04:26.
When you found out you one, what did you do? | :04:27. | :04:29.
My party was the next day and I told everybody. | :04:30. | :04:36.
They were proud of me, and they said, "Well done," to me. | :04:37. | :04:39.
Well, congratulations, and very, very well done. | :04:40. | :04:41.
That's all from me, enjoy the evening! | :04:42. | :04:47.
