:00:00.:00:00.

Wales are preparing for the biggest football match of their lives.

:00:00.:00:12.

And Andy Murray hopes to serve up a quarterfinal win at Wimbledon.

:00:13.:00:18.

I'm Ayshah with Wednesday's Newsround.

:00:19.:00:27.

The Iraq War lasted for eight years and began after the US and UK

:00:28.:00:31.

Thousands of soldiers and Iraqi people lost their lives,

:00:32.:00:35.

and many people questioned why Britain and America got involved.

:00:36.:00:39.

Today the results of a special investigation into what happened

:00:40.:00:42.

In 2003, the US led an invasion of Iraq in the Middle East,

:00:43.:00:52.

They targeted the Iraqi president Saddam Hussein.

:00:53.:00:58.

The American and British leaders at the time said he was dangerous

:00:59.:01:02.

They also said that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction that

:01:03.:01:09.

Saddam Hussein said he didn't have any such weapons.

:01:10.:01:16.

But the American and UK leaders didn't believe him.

:01:17.:01:25.

The decision to go to war was completely controversial and not

:01:26.:01:32.

everyone agreed. Millions of people protested all over the UK.

:01:33.:01:34.

But the British Prime Minister at the time, Tony Blair,

:01:35.:01:36.

Iraq's army was defeated and Saddam Hussein was

:01:37.:01:39.

But no weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq.

:01:40.:01:47.

The mission turned into a long war lasting eight years.

:01:48.:01:51.

4,500 American troops died and the UK lost 179

:01:52.:01:53.

No-one knows for sure how many Iraqis died,

:01:54.:01:59.

It also left different groups in Iraq fighting

:02:00.:02:04.

Many people questioned why the UK and US got

:02:05.:02:08.

In 2009, the then British Prime Minster, Gordon Brown,

:02:09.:02:14.

set up a special investigation called the Chilcot Inquiry -

:02:15.:02:18.

Sir John Chilcot was asked to find out what happened in the run-up

:02:19.:02:25.

to the invasion and whether the right decisions were made.

:02:26.:02:29.

After nearly seven years, the results are finally being published.

:02:30.:02:36.

To the Euros in France, where tonight Wales will play

:02:37.:02:38.

They take on Portugal for a place in the finals.

:02:39.:02:44.

So far in their Euros journey they've played 450 minutes

:02:45.:02:49.

of football, won four out of five matches and scored ten goals

:02:50.:02:52.

It's been a truly incredible story of a small country who've taken one

:02:53.:02:57.

of the world's biggest football tournaments by storm.

:02:58.:03:04.

And fans have been in touch with their good luck

:03:05.:03:06.

Now, a lot of the talk in the build-up to this game has

:03:07.:03:54.

been on the head-to-head between two giant players,

:03:55.:04:02.

Real Madrid team mates Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

:04:03.:04:04.

And if you want to know more about that clash,

:04:05.:04:07.

That's also where you can follow the latest in Lyon

:04:08.:04:10.

in France with Jenny, who's there for us.

:04:11.:04:12.

There's action in the tennis at Wimbledon today.

:04:13.:04:14.

Britain's number one Andy Murray will take on France's

:04:15.:04:16.

This is Murray's ninth Wimbledon quarter-final in a row,

:04:17.:04:21.

and he has beaten Tsonga in 12 of their 14 matches.

:04:22.:04:25.

Murray is the second match on Centre Court

:04:26.:04:27.

and is expected to play at around 4pm this afternoon.

:04:28.:04:32.

In the women's draw, a final between a big sister

:04:33.:04:34.

and a little sister is looking more likely, as both Serena

:04:35.:04:37.

and Venus Williams are through to the semi-finals.

:04:38.:04:39.

It's been seven years since Venus last reached

:04:40.:04:42.

She'll play Angelique Kerber next and Serena will play Elena Vesnina.

:04:43.:04:49.

At 36, Venus Williams is the oldest Grand Slam semi-finalist

:04:50.:04:51.

Millions of Muslims all around the world will be celebrating

:04:52.:04:59.

the Muslim festival Eid al-Fitr this week.

:05:00.:05:01.

It marks the end of Ramadan, during which people avoid eating

:05:02.:05:05.

from dawn until sunset for about a month.

:05:06.:05:07.

Eid al-Fitr means "festival of the breaking of the fast"

:05:08.:05:10.

and it is one of the biggest celebrations in the Islamic year.

:05:11.:05:13.

Here's what some of you guys are looking forward to.

:05:14.:05:26.

We celebrate by meeting with friends and relatives. The community goes to

:05:27.:05:34.

the mosque for a special Eid. Prayer. Nicer foods and sweets. When

:05:35.:05:45.

people are fasting, they can eat, have a happy day, give presence. We

:05:46.:05:50.

celebrate Eid. By saying happy Eid.. That's all from me this morning,

:05:51.:05:55.

Leah's here at 4:20pm this afternoon

:05:56.:05:59.
