Leah here, kicking off your week with some

I'll tell you about the rocket taking shopping supplies to space.

Let's start by talking about the major storm that's flooded houses,

closed schools, and blocked roads.

These pictures show the effect Storm Desmond has had since it hit parts

of northern England, as well as some areas of Scotland, over the weekend.

Today, tens of thousands of people still have no electricity,

and at least 20 schools are shut.

Here's Ricky with more.

In some parts of the country, a month's worth of rain fell

in just 24 hours.

Flooding has forced thousands of people from their homes

in Cumbria in north-west England.

Strong winds have also made it dangerous for drivers too.

Police in Cumbria declared a major incident, as the River Kent

in Kendal burst its banks.

In Keswick, the British Red Cross set up special

centres for people looking for somewhere to stay for the night.

And fire crews used small boats to rescue people, as water levels rose.

It's not the first time people here have been affected by flooding.

Five years ago, heavy rain caused even more damage.

Flooding and landslides also brought disruption to Scotland, especially

in the Borders and Tayside.

Already this morning, the clean-up operation has swung into action.

The weather is expected to be drier this afternoon, but people are still

being told to take extra care.

Well, Carlisle is one of the worst-hit places and, this morning,

the police have been explaining how many people are still affected.

There have been hundreds of people rescued in Carlisle alone,

obviously significant numbers across the country.

We have got about 5,000 houses flooded,

we don't know exactly the numbers.

From today, we are looking at recovery.

In a lot of Cumbria now, the water has subsided.

But, as you can see, we still have significant flooding.

The problem is recovery will take a long time.

If you're running low on breakfast cereal at home,

it's a quick trip to the shops.

But things aren't so simple in space.

This unmanned rocket has lifted off from a space base in America

full of over 3,000 kilograms of food and clothes.

It's for astronauts on the International Space Station who are

running low, after several failed delivery runs and launches recently.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp suffered just his second defeat since taking

over, as his in-form side lost 2-0 to struggling Newcastle.

Georginio Wijnaldum scored to help take Steve McClaren's team move

above rivals Sunderland, and into 18th in the Premier League.

What if sci-fi isn't your bag of popcorn?

There's a good option.

If you liked Ice Age, the team behind that have made The Peanuts

Movie. It's based on Charlie Brown.

I loved that.

His dog Snoopy is his trusty companion,

tries to help him along, and taking on his arch enemy the Red Baron.

A lot of parents will take their kids to this one

because they really want to see it.

It's not just about the cinema and the big screen.

There's plenty to watch when you are at home in

the comfort of your living room,.

What have we got to look forward to?

It has become a Christmas tradition.

The David Walliams adaptation.

This year, it is Billionaire Boy.

It is about a 12-year-old boy, Jo Spud, whose dad made

his fortune selling toilet paper called Bum Fresh.

I am the Bum Fresh billionaire.

David Williams is in this.

You can't stop him dressing up as a lady.

This time, he plays a lunch lady, we really hope he washes its hands.

Dr Who always serves up a Christmas cracker.

In this episode, Doctor Who is trying to escape from Christmas.

What is good is River Song is back, played by Alex Kingston.

Peter Capaldi has never had an episode with her,

something to look out for.

Fungus The Bogeyman, tell us about that?

The story of a creature who lives underground, and only comes

above ground to scare humans.

Written by the same man who wrote The Snowman.

Don't expect as pretty singing in this one.

There is so much to watch.
