Hi, I'm Martin, Happy Friday this

is Newsround, all this on the way.

0:00:140:00:17

Astronaut Tim Peake

answers your questions.

0:00:170:00:18

Ronaldo equals Messi

by winning his fifth Ballon d'Or.

0:00:180:00:21

And the festive lights

sparkling in France.

0:00:210:00:25

First, if you're from

the European Union and you

0:00:310:00:35

are living in the UK,

or if you are British

0:00:350:00:38

and living in the EU,

we've got some big news for you.

0:00:380:00:41

Here's what you need to know.

0:00:410:00:45

So, the UK is leading a club of 28

countries called the European Union.

0:00:450:00:51

-- leaving. Lots of people have

called this Brexit. When British

0:00:510:00:55

people voted to leave last year it

wasn't clear what would happen to

0:00:550:00:59

the 3 million people from the EU

will appear in Britain. And also

0:00:590:01:04

what would happen to British people

living in EU countries. That got

0:01:040:01:08

some people worried. But now the

British government and the European

0:01:080:01:15

Union have agreed that everyone will

be allowed to carry on living and

0:01:150:01:18

working where they are now. The two

side say they've also come to an

0:01:180:01:28

agreement about the border between

Northern Ireland and the Republic of

0:01:280:01:30

Ireland. This issue has caused big

problems and the details still need

0:01:300:01:36

to be worked out. Finally, it's also

been agreed that when the UK leaves

0:01:360:01:43

it will pay money to the EU. So it

isn't yet known how much that will

0:01:430:01:49

be, it's likely to cost tens and

billions of pounds. That is Brexit

0:01:490:01:54

all sorted, then? Not quite. Even

though the two side have agreed on

0:01:540:02:00

these three big issues, there are

still loads of things that we'll

0:02:000:02:03

need to sort out before the UK

leaves the EU in 2019.

0:02:030:02:09

And if you want to find out

more about Brexit go

0:02:090:02:11

to our online guide now.

0:02:110:02:13

Football now and Cristiano Ronaldo

has won his fith Ballon d'Or beating

0:02:130:02:16

Barcelona's Lionel Messi to this

year's title .

0:02:160:02:21

It's the second year in a row that

he's won the award and has now

0:02:210:02:24

won it the same amount

of times as Messi.

0:02:240:02:26

He helped Real Madrid win

the Champions League and their first

0:02:260:02:29

La Liga title since 2012 this year

and scored 42 goals for Real

0:02:290:02:32

in all competitions.

0:02:320:02:37

Next to a guest who is out of this

world, astronaut Tim Peake came

0:02:370:02:41

into the studio earlier to answer

some of your questions.

0:02:410:02:43

Take a look.

0:02:430:02:47

This is no longer newsround HQ, just

for a moment this is mission

0:02:470:02:50

control. And that is because we have

a very special guest is about to

0:02:500:02:56

join all of us here. Are you ready?

Yes!

I think they're ready. It's the

0:02:560:03:04

one, the only, Tim Peake! Wonderful.

Tim, lovely to meet you. Welcome to

0:03:040:03:15

Newsround. Thanks for joining us at

Newsround HQ, straight to the first

0:03:150:03:19

question.

What do you miss most

about space?

Two things, first thing

0:03:190:03:24

I miss is weightlessness, floating

around in space. The second thing is

0:03:240:03:28

the view of planet Earth.

We have a

great question here, what is your

0:03:280:03:32

question?

If you had to name a new

planet what would you name it?

I'd

0:03:320:03:37

have to see at first, you've got to

see some thing to be able to come up

0:03:370:03:41

with a name. Yeah, loads of new

planets out there. Loads of

0:03:410:03:44

potential.

What about you?

So what

difference in experience is there

0:03:440:03:52

from the earth atmosphere to zero

gravity?

I mean, coming back into

0:03:520:03:58

Earth's atmosphere is incredible,

you get the re-entry, the heat,

0:03:580:04:02

deceleration, up in space it's

really liberating, you're floating

0:04:020:04:05

around. Seeing the stars at night at

Earth by day is beautiful.

What is

0:04:050:04:09

your question?

What was your

inspiration to become an amazing

0:04:090:04:13

astronaut?

I've had lots of

inspirational characters to my life,

0:04:130:04:17

the first thing I wanted to do was

become a pilot, test pilot. People

0:04:170:04:21

like Chuck Yeager, reading books

like the right stuff, he was very

0:04:210:04:26

inspirational.

Not every day you get

an astronaut at Newsround HQ and

0:04:260:04:32

those questions were awesome.

0:04:320:04:34

Finally, we're heading to Lyon

in France where something

0:04:340:04:37

spectacular is happening right now.

0:04:370:04:38

The city's annual Festival of Lights

has been pulling in the crowds.

0:04:380:04:41

1 million visitors are expected

to see the displays.

0:04:410:04:43

50 light projections make buildings

and streets come to life.

0:04:430:04:45

That's got me feeling

really festive.

0:04:450:04:52

That's all from me for now

but Newsround is back

0:04:520:04:54

with Whitney across the weekend.

0:04:540:04:57

Enjoy the rest of your Friday, guys.
