Good morning. This is Newsround. I'm Ricky with all the very latest this

:00:00.:00:08.

Tuesday. In the next five mins. Time to get gnarly as the skiing

:00:09.:00:13.

slopestyle gets going in Sochi. And with Britain's Got Talent returning

:00:14.:00:16.

to our screens, we want your questions for the judges.

:00:17.:00:23.

First this morning, a flooding crisis continues to grip southern

:00:24.:00:27.

England. Hundreds of people have had to leave their homes overnight as

:00:28.:00:30.

record floodwaters keep on rising on the River Thames. There are 16

:00:31.:00:34.

severe flood warnings in place in England, which means there is danger

:00:35.:00:39.

to life, with 14 along the Thames. After a quieter day yesterday, the

:00:40.:00:42.

bad weather is returning, with heavy rain and strong winds battering

:00:43.:00:48.

southern England again this morning. But it's not just the south of

:00:49.:00:51.

England. Britain's longest river, the Severn, is rising in the

:00:52.:00:54.

Midlands. It's caused huge problems in Worcester, where Nel's found that

:00:55.:00:57.

getting to school can be really difficult. I cycle here. It was

:00:58.:01:12.

weird because the roads were closed. Also we had to cycle through the

:01:13.:01:17.

floods so it's pretty weird. All the fields by the bridge where water.

:01:18.:01:20.

You couldn't see any difference between the river and the fields.

:01:21.:01:23.

Smoking in cars with children in the back is likely to be made illegal in

:01:24.:01:27.

England and Wales. Last night, lots of MPs voted to support a ban, which

:01:28.:01:31.

means the Government is now able to make it law. But it's now up to the

:01:32.:01:35.

people in charge to decide whether it should be introduced. But some

:01:36.:01:39.

people say it's a step too far. Next up, the use of mobile phones and the

:01:40.:01:42.

internet is changing how young people are being bullied. The

:01:43.:01:46.

children's charity NSPCC says over a third of kids have been bullied

:01:47.:01:49.

online, and it can be a really upsetting and difficult thing to

:01:50.:01:53.

deal with. In a special Newsround this afternoon, I'll be taking a

:01:54.:01:56.

look at the world of cyberbullying, speaking to young victims and

:01:57.:02:04.

finding out about their experiences. I've got a notification on my phone.

:02:05.:02:09.

I wasn't sure if it was somebody's idea of a sick joke. Everybody has a

:02:10.:02:14.

smartphone. It's always there and you can't get away from it. Don't

:02:15.:02:19.

retaliate because that's what they want. They want to see what set and

:02:20.:02:24.

that they have got to you. And joining me now in the studio is CBBC

:02:25.:02:28.

presenter Shannon Flynn who features in our special programme. You also

:02:29.:02:33.

struggled for some time online? Yes, when I was 12 or 13, I was bullied

:02:34.:02:38.

on various different social networking sites. By people like

:02:39.:02:43.

either new, didn't know, had absolutely no idea where it is

:02:44.:02:46.

coming from and yeah, it was awful. I would come home from school, log

:02:47.:02:51.

on to the websites, and just see endless amounts of abuse and had no

:02:52.:02:54.

idea where it came from. It didn't feel real. Because you are on

:02:55.:03:00.

television, people pick on you may be because they either want to be

:03:01.:03:03.

like youthful sub did you feel like that was the reason you are being

:03:04.:03:07.

bullied online? I think so, because some of them related to my work.

:03:08.:03:13.

Others were just just calling me names, absolutely no reason for it.

:03:14.:03:18.

It was awful. It's such a big part of our lives being online and the

:03:19.:03:22.

mobile phone, it's hard to escape from it if it happens. Yes, it's

:03:23.:03:27.

with you all the time because everybody has their mobile phone

:03:28.:03:31.

with them all the time. Even if you are not at home, locking on to your

:03:32.:03:34.

laptop, it's on your telephone next to you. You can't get away. What

:03:35.:03:39.

tips would you give to somebody who is being bullied online? Make sure

:03:40.:03:44.

you tell somebody because I told my parents what happened to me and I

:03:45.:03:50.

blocked everybody. Thanks very much for sharing your story. Everything

:03:51.:03:58.

is all right now. Yes, it's good. And you can catch Cyberbullying, a

:03:59.:04:01.

Newsround special, this afternoon at 5.25pm right here on CBBC. It will

:04:02.:04:05.

also be on iPlayer too. And head to our website for loads more

:04:06.:04:08.

information on how to stay safe online, with advice and a quiz too.

:04:09.:04:11.

Britain's Got Talent is gearing up for its eighth series. You will

:04:12.:04:14.

remember that last year Attraction won the competition with their

:04:15.:04:17.

impressive and rather unusual shadow theatre performance. Newsround's Nel

:04:18.:04:20.

will get the chance to interview some of the judges this afternoon.

:04:21.:04:23.

So if you've got a question for Simon, David, Alesha or Amanda then

:04:24.:04:27.

head online to our website right now to send them in. Last up, get ready

:04:28.:04:32.

to get gnarly and solid, because it's the qualifying for the skiing

:04:33.:04:35.

slopestyle freestyle at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, with Team GB's

:04:36.:04:40.

Katie Summerhayes taking part. She has a pretty good chance of a medal

:04:41.:04:44.

for Britain. The 19-year-old had a good first run just a few minutes

:04:45.:04:48.

ago. That took her into third place so far. Fingers crossed. That's all

:04:49.:04:53.

from me. Newsround's back right here in about half an hour. We'll have a

:04:54.:04:56.

sneak preview of our Cyberbullying special programme. See you then. Bye

:04:57.:04:58.

bye.
