Happy Saturday!

0:00:040:00:06

I'm Jenny, live with all the news you need to know.

0:00:060:00:08

Coming up:

0:00:080:00:11

Find out what record Ed Sheeran has broken...

0:00:110:00:15

Why dragons DO exist...

0:00:150:00:18

And the wheely good news for this tortoise.

0:00:180:00:22

First, Ed Sheeran is back and already breaking records

0:00:310:00:34

with his new singles, Shape of You and Castle On The hill.

0:00:340:00:39

They've entered the UK singles chart at number one and number two.

0:00:390:00:42

The Official Charts Company say it's the first time in history an artist

0:00:420:00:45

has taken the top two chart positions with brand-new songs.

0:00:450:00:48

Ed said he was "incredibly chuffed" with the success.

0:00:480:00:53

Towns and villages along the East Coast of England mostly

0:00:540:00:57

escaped the heavy flooding that had been predicted for last night.

0:00:570:01:00

Hundreds of people were moved from their homes in Norfolk

0:01:000:01:02

and Essex, worried there might be a storm surge, where strong winds

0:01:020:01:05

and high tides combine to bring more water on land and cause flooding.

0:01:050:01:10

Some places did have flooding, but a change in wind direction

0:01:100:01:13

at the right time prevented most of the damage.

0:01:130:01:22

This year is going to see some big changes to the way our country deals

0:01:220:01:26

with its neighbours.

0:01:260:01:27

Martin and Ayshah love the seaside, so we sent them

0:01:270:01:29

out to find out more...

0:01:290:01:31

This is Brighton.

0:01:320:01:33

It's got a pier, a tower, the sea and it's even got sand.

0:01:330:01:36

Well, kind of.

0:01:360:01:38

This is Blackpool.

0:01:380:01:39

It's got a pier, it's got a tower and - you guessed it -

0:01:390:01:42

it's got the sea.

0:01:420:01:50

But there were some differences between the two when it comes

0:01:500:01:55

to the vote that adults took last year for Britain to leave

0:01:550:01:58

a group of countries called the European Union.

0:01:580:02:00

Here in Brighton, most people voted Stay.

0:02:000:02:02

Here in Blackpool, most people voted to Leave.

0:02:020:02:07

This year, the UK Government are going to tell the European Union

0:02:070:02:09

that we're leaving.

0:02:090:02:14

What do kids in these two places think of that decision?

0:02:140:02:17

I think leaving the EU is a good thing because we will have more

0:02:170:02:21

control of our money for individual services who need it,

0:02:210:02:24

like hospitals.

0:02:240:02:28

I chose to stay in the EU because I want to be united

0:02:280:02:31

with other countries.

0:02:310:02:37

For a few weeks, we might take a bit of time to get used to the idea that

0:02:370:02:41

we're not in the EU anymore, we don't have any countries to back

0:02:410:02:46

us up as we used to, but I do feel that we will get used

0:02:460:02:49

to it and that we will make a success of it.

0:02:490:02:56

We can move on and still have the good deals

0:02:560:03:02

and relationships but now, because we've left, we have

0:03:020:03:04

to find different deals and new friends in a way.

0:03:040:03:09

I think that people coming from different countries is losing

0:03:090:03:11

us money, so getting people back on track will get more money

0:03:110:03:17

because we're only a small country and the money

0:03:170:03:19

we give away is quite a lot.

0:03:190:03:25

I feel like we won't be as safe as we were.

0:03:250:03:27

There is a bigger chance that we could make enemies

0:03:270:03:30

with the other countries in the EU now.

0:03:300:03:32

It's frustrating when big decisions are getting made,

0:03:320:03:35

because we don't get a say in the decisions and I think

0:03:350:03:38

we should, because we are the ones that will be affected by it.

0:03:380:03:48

Next, it's time to take a look at some very cheeky animals.

0:03:490:03:55

This week we heard about a squirrel who stole chocolate,

0:03:550:03:57

so we decided to bring together some of the animal world's

0:03:570:04:00

biggest thieves.

0:04:000:04:01

Watch this.

0:04:010:04:02

This sneaky squirrel has developed a bit of a sweet tooth.

0:04:020:04:05

It was caught stealing a chocolate bar and the owners in Canada say

0:04:050:04:08

the animals have stolen more than 40 chocolate bars in all!

0:04:080:04:13

Is this kitty the ultimate cat burglar?

0:04:130:04:17

In two months, Bridget from New Zealand has stolen 11 pairs

0:04:170:04:20

of underpants and more than 50 socks from her neighbours!

0:04:200:04:25

Who stole all the pies?

0:04:250:04:28

Who stole all the pies?

0:04:280:04:28

A bear did, off a window in Colorado, USA, and helped himself

0:04:280:04:31

to 38 pies before escaping back to the woods!

0:04:310:04:35

Not all the pies were to their liking.

0:04:350:04:39

Apparently cherry and apple were his favourites, but he wasn't

0:04:390:04:41

keen on the strawberry and rhubarb.

0:04:410:04:45

Monkeys seem to be the worst offenders -

0:04:450:04:47

check out this one stealing a bundle of money from an Indian

0:04:470:04:49

jewellery shop!

0:04:490:04:53

The monkey later dropped the cash and dashed for freedom,

0:04:530:04:55

and it was collected and returned to the shop owner.

0:04:550:04:56

and it was collected and returned to the shop owner.

0:04:560:05:01

Meet Bert, he is no ordinary tortoise!

0:05:010:05:02

The 22-year-old was fitted with wheels to help him get

0:05:020:05:05

about after injuring his back legs.

0:05:050:05:10

The African spurred tortoise is now trundling

0:05:100:05:12

happily around his home at the Dinosaur Adventure

0:05:120:05:15

Park in Norwich.

0:05:150:05:16

Wheel-y good news.

0:05:160:05:18

Finally, did you know that dragons DO exist?

0:05:180:05:22

Well, under the sea, anyway.

0:05:220:05:25

This is the first sighting of a ruby sea-dragon in the wild.

0:05:250:05:28

Researchers filmed the brightly coloured creatures

0:05:280:05:30

in Western Australia.

0:05:300:05:32

The ten-inch-long fish was declared a new species in 2015,

0:05:320:05:34

making it only the third known sea dragon species.

0:05:340:05:37

I bet waiting for that was really starting to drag-on!

0:05:370:05:43

That's all from the team, for now.

0:05:440:05:45

Newsround's back right here just after 1:30pm.

0:05:450:05:50

Don't forget to go online to take our fantastic quiz of the week.

0:05:500:05:53

FYI, question five is particularly tricky,

0:05:530:05:54

but I'm sure you've got this.

0:05:540:05:56

Bye!

0:05:560:06:00

How many Blue Peter presenters does it take to change a light bulb?

0:06:050:06:07

No, that doesn't really work.
