First up, the singer Ariana Grande is to become an honorary Mancunian.

She's to get a Manchester citizenship even though

she's from America.

It's the city's way of saying thank you for Ariana's amazing work

organising the One Love concert in Manchester, in aid of victims

of the Arena bombing.

And victims of the Manchester and London attacks were remembered

in France yesterday.

French players and fans showed solidarity with England,

by joining in with the UK national anthem, followed by

a minute's silence at a friendly football match.

It's called an armyworm, and while it might look

like something you'd see in your garden, they're a much more

serious type of pest.

Jenny's been finding out why they're being given their marching orders.

Called fall armyworms but they're not worms at all,

they're caterpillars.

Despite their size, they've been causing massive problems

for people in Africa.

They feed on a range of different crops but, in particular,

on maize and sweetcorn.

This is a very important crop in Africa because many farmers rely

on maize to feed their families and to crush the corn

to make maize flour, which is used in a lot of food.

They have come to Africa from the Americas and their numbers

are growing very fast, with females laying

around 100 eggs a day.

The pests started having an impact in West Africa

on the end of last year, but since, they have spread.

Scientists are warning that part of southern Africa already hit

by drought are now facing another food crisis.

So what can be done to stop them?

Well, the usual method of controlling any insect pest

is to rely on chemical pesticides.

Now, these can be effective.

The downside is that they can also have negative effects

on the environment.

So not only did they kill the target pest insect,

in this case the fall armyworm, but it can also kill beneficial

insects like pollinators and predators that would normally

control this pest.

Another idea is to use the diseases that the worms are harmed

by and spray them onto the plans, getting rid of the fall armyworms

but leaving other insects unharmed.

In some small farms, farmers have been able to pick

the armyworms off crops with their hands.

But with the number of armyworms continuing to grow, scientists

will have to find a solution fast to stop these pests

from spreading even further.

Great Britain's number-one female tennis player, Johanna Konta,

has reached a landmark in her career - with her 300th win.

Johanna was playing again fellow Brit Tara Moore and was leading 6-2,

The show is filmed in Ballynahinch in Northern Ireland and Ayshah went

along to meet go behind the scenes and meet the cast.

They've got millions of hits online and loads of you have

been watching on telly.

It's filmed right here in the UK, in Northern Ireland.

And they've invited me to see what they get up

to on-set and off-screen.

So, The Lodge is a teen musical mystery drama.

It follows the story of my character, Skye, who's 15

and she has moved from the city to her family's country lodge

after the passing of her mother.

The concert was a hit, the Lodge is doing great.

When we are on set, and we are all working, you know,

we could be working a 12-hour day and it could be cold, freezing,

raining, it's kind of nice to just get a little bit of laughter

in the day.

We were just trying to knock these coconut off the stands with

tennis balls at lunch,

everyone just having like a wicked time.

We do play a lot of table tennis.

There's a piano, and Josh plays the piano,

so he's always playing along.

Who's best?

We don't actually know.

The hours are so long so we are there to support each other.

Scripts and everything, I mean, sometimes it can get stressful but,

you know, it's such a great cast.

They are about to go for a take.

Probably going to have to be really quiet in a moment.

It's season two, and this season she gets to ride, and gets

to do loads of sports, getting out there with the boys

and getting dirty, and it's great.

So this season, we explore different relationships.

The music's amazing and the dance sequences are fantastic.

My character comes in with a bit of mystery behind her, I would say.

She is a massive tomboy as well, she rides a bike,

she doesn't wear dresses.

What is really nice about this series is everyone kind

of has their own back stories and you learn a lot more about

each person's different characters.
