Hi, I'm Ricky with Newsround on Monday morning. | :00:00. | :00:07.
Another great night for Great Britain on the final day | :00:08. | :00:11.
of the World Athletics Championships. | :00:12. | :00:14.
People remember those hurt in protests in the US. | :00:15. | :00:31.
Let's start with the World Athletics Championships which came to an end | :00:32. | :00:36.
Britain's 4x400 metres women won a brilliant silver | :00:37. | :00:40.
It means they finished sixth on the medal table. | :00:41. | :00:47.
Athletics legend Usain Bolt said goodbye to the crowds and almost | :00:48. | :00:49.
cried as he completed his last ever race. | :00:50. | :00:51.
The Jamaican runner is retiring after winning eight | :00:52. | :00:53.
I personally feel this is a good message to the kids that work hard, | :00:54. | :01:02.
be strong and let's push on, you know what I mean? | :01:03. | :01:05.
And, for me, if I can leave something like that | :01:06. | :01:07.
to the younger generation, that with hard work, | :01:08. | :01:11.
no matter what's going on, you can be the best that you can be, | :01:12. | :01:15.
Footy now and the world's most expensive player, Neymar, | :01:16. | :01:22.
Played his first game for French side Paris Saint Germain. | :01:23. | :01:31.
The ?200 million player scored this exciting goal his first | :01:32. | :01:35.
for the team and they beat rival French club Guingamp 3-0. | :01:36. | :01:37.
So far he's proving the investment was worth it. | :01:38. | :01:40.
Now to Charlottesville, a city in Virginia in the US - | :01:41. | :01:42.
where there's been trouble after protests there. | :01:43. | :01:45.
The trouble started when white supremacists, | :01:46. | :01:49.
who believe that white people are better than other races, | :01:50. | :01:52.
That's because a statue of someone they think | :01:53. | :01:57.
shared their views was being removed from a university. | :01:58. | :02:01.
Violence broke out when antiracism groups started | :02:02. | :02:03.
A man drove a car into the antiracism protesters. | :02:04. | :02:09.
One woman was killed and many others were injured. | :02:10. | :02:14.
Emergency services arrived quickly to help | :02:15. | :02:16.
US President Donald Trump has condemned the violence. | :02:17. | :02:24.
The hate and the division must stop and must stop right now. | :02:25. | :02:31.
We have to come together as Americans with love for our nation | :02:32. | :02:37.
and true affection and, really, I say this so strongly, | :02:38. | :02:40.
It's been a weekend of protest marked by violence and it's | :02:41. | :02:48.
shown once again that the US is divided over the issue of race. | :02:49. | :02:51.
It's also served as a test for the US's | :02:52. | :02:53.
fairly new president Donald Trump. | :02:54. | :02:58.
In the past he's been supported by white nationalists, | :02:59. | :03:01.
people said that he didn't do enough to criticise the white nationalists | :03:02. | :03:04.
Over the next few days, people will be looking to see | :03:05. | :03:08.
if there's any more demonstrations and what, if anything, | :03:09. | :03:10.
President Trump has to say about those. | :03:11. | :03:19.
most of us probably wouldn't want to live with a load of them. | :03:20. | :03:25.
But some churches are letting these little guys make themselves at home | :03:26. | :03:28.
It might be a bit cold and draughty but for bats it is one of their | :03:29. | :03:34.
And these kids have come to this church | :03:35. | :03:37.
in Norfolk to find out all about the bats that live here. | :03:38. | :03:40.
I've been around and seen two of these, like, | :03:41. | :03:42.
tiny bats that were flapping about going like, "Mah, mah!" | :03:43. | :03:45.
I saw two of the small bats, I saw a flapper bat. | :03:46. | :03:48.
I like bats because they can hang upside down. | :03:49. | :03:50.
But they're not always the easiest animals to live with. | :03:51. | :04:00.
And the people that own churches are worried that the bats | :04:01. | :04:05.
are damaging these very old buildings, with the bats' wee | :04:06. | :04:08.
leaving little white spots like this on gravestones. | :04:09. | :04:11.
So they might not be the most welcome guests | :04:12. | :04:14.
but it's actually really important to protect these bats. | :04:15. | :04:19.
Bat populations over a number of years have been declining, | :04:20. | :04:21.
But churches are one of the most important buildings in | :04:22. | :04:28.
Luckily for the bats, this church is happy to let them | :04:29. | :04:33.
stay in the church roof for now, but they're building | :04:34. | :04:37.
special bat boxes outside the church for them to live in in the future, | :04:38. | :04:40.
so they don't make any more mess inside. | :04:41. | :04:44.
And a special project called Bats In Churches is asking other | :04:45. | :04:47.
That's all from me, Newsround's back right here in about half an hour. | :04:48. | :04:57.
I've got two favourite shows on CBBC. | :04:58. | :05:05.
My first one is The Next Step because I love dancing. | :05:06. | :05:09. |
