United start to close

the gap on City.

We meet the girl who's beating

Let's talk footy now

and Manchester United are closing

the gap at the top of the Premier

League.

They're now 12 points behind

Man City after an impressive 3-0

performance against Stoke

at Old Trafford.

Antonio Valencia and Anthony Martial

scored in the first half.

In the second half Romelu Lukaku

finished the game off

with this cheeky wee goal.

Now when you think of racing

drivers, who are the names

that spring to mind?

Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel,

Fernando Alonso, maybe?

One thing these guys all have

in common is that they're well guys,

but Newsround recently went to catch

up with one girl who's

looking to change that.

This is Jamie Chadwick.

She started motor

racing when she was 11.

Aged 17, she became the first woman

and the youngest driver to win

the British GT Championship and now

she's racing in Formula Three.

So what is she doing today?

Taking me for a drive, of course!

Jamie, I'm really scared.

Am I going to be all right?

You'll be fine.

Are you sure?

Trust me.

The last few people I've taken out

haven't dealt with that well at all.

They've been fainting,

passing out...

Jamie!

I trust you'll be fine.

Oh, good.

Are you ready?

So this is Silverstone,

it's the home of British motorsport.

It's where they have the Grand Prix.

We're going to go on the circuit

that they do the F1.

It's really cool.

Yeah, coming out

onto the circuit now.

Oh, my gosh!

It's so fast!

How did you realise you had

a passion for racing?

I guess before I started karting,

I didn't follow motorsport that

much, so I didn't really know much

about it, but as soon

as I first got in a go-kart,

pretty much that was me done,

that's exactly what I wanted to do.

Oh, I love this.

What would it be like

if you got into Formula One?

A dream come true, really.

It's what you work for,

it's what I really want to achieve,

it's what sets the bar for every

young driver, you want to be there,

racing against the greats,

you want to be the best

in the world.

Do you want me to do a faster lap?

Yeah, go on, then!

Oh, it's so fast!

Oh, my gosh!

It's so fast!

Jamie, that was so much fun.

I've got helmet hair, though.

How do you get rid of that?

You don't, you just

have it for life.

You're such an amazing driver.

Why do you think it's

so male-dominated, this sport,

and do you think it can change

in the future?

I'm really hoping it can change.

Obviously there aren't many women

involved in the sport at the moment,

but when people realise that women

can be involved and just as good

as the men if not better,

in my opinion, I'm hoping more

women get involved.

Next, we're talking

about manhole covers -

not a subject Newsround

would usually get excited by,

but take a look at this.

Tired of boring, dull roads?

Think they need brightening up?

Well, Japan has the answer!

They've got all arty

with manhole covers.

They did hundreds in towns,

cities and villages across Japan.

I'll tell you what, it brightens

up the road a treat.

Now check out this wallaby

in Sydney in Australia.

It was first spotted

on the famous Harbour Bridge

at five in the morning.

It happily hopped along

in front of a police car

at about 30 miles an hour.

After several miles officers managed

to move it safely off the road

and took it to a zoo,

where it wouldn't be

in the way of traffic.
