Morning guys, Ricky here with your Newsround this Saturday morning.

0:00:060:00:09

We check out the next big Saturday night singing show!

0:00:090:00:11

We go on a nurdle hunt in Scotland.

0:00:110:00:14

And, what've you got planned for the sunny weather?

0:00:140:00:22

First up, it's the Queen's official birthday today.

0:00:280:00:31

To celebrate the occasion, Trooping the Colour has been taking

0:00:310:00:34

place with Prince William playing his part, here he is

0:00:340:00:38

rehearsing earlier in the week.

0:00:380:00:40

400 musicians, 200 horses and 1,000 troops take part.

0:00:400:00:43

The Queen has also given out special honours,

0:00:430:00:47

with Harry Potter author JK Rowling getting a special Companion

0:00:470:00:50

of Honour Award for services to literature.

0:00:500:00:53

It's going to be a scorcher of a weekend, with loads of sunshine

0:00:530:00:56

for many parts of the country.

0:00:560:00:59

And we want to know what you've got planned to enjoy the good weather.

0:00:590:01:02

Maybe a BBQ, maybe meeting your friends in the park,

0:01:020:01:04

or even heading to the seaside?

0:01:040:01:09

Well, head on over to Newsround online, and let us know

0:01:090:01:12

what you've got planned.

0:01:120:01:16

OK, a quick look at the day's sports stories, and could this guy be

0:01:160:01:19

on his way back to the Premier League?

0:01:190:01:21

Apparently Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid.

0:01:210:01:23

The former Man United forward has had an amazing few seasons,

0:01:230:01:26

winning three Champions Leagues and breaking loads of goal-scoring

0:01:260:01:28

records, but he's been accused of not paying the right amount

0:01:280:01:30

of money to the Spanish government - an accusation that is making him

0:01:300:01:34

think about his future there.

0:01:340:01:38

And the British and Irish Lions have won their latest warm-up match

0:01:380:01:40

against the Maori All Blacks.

0:01:400:01:43

They've just one more game to go before the first big Test

0:01:430:01:46

against the New Zealand national team next Saturday.

0:01:460:01:50

Are you enjoying the Voice Kids, but missing Britain's Got Talent?

0:01:500:01:53

Well, a brand new singing show starts tonight on BBC One.

0:01:530:01:56

30 choirs and singing groups will be battling it out

0:01:560:01:59

for a big prize of ?50,000.

0:01:590:02:02

Martin's got this one.

0:02:020:02:07

This is Pitch Battle!

0:02:080:02:10

Expect colourful costumes, cool dance moves, and

0:02:100:02:12

some amazing vocals.

0:02:120:02:16

So, let's find out what Pitch Battle is all about.

0:02:160:02:22

# Makes me feel this way!#

0:02:220:02:25

It is vocal groups, amazing vocal groups,

0:02:250:02:27

very varied vocal groups, from Gospel choirs to a cappella,

0:02:270:02:32

competing, basically, to be crowned the best vocal group

0:02:320:02:35

of Pitch Battle.

0:02:350:02:38

Mel Giedroyc will be joined by judges choirmaster Gareth Malone

0:02:380:02:41

and American singer Kelis, so get your voices ready

0:02:410:02:44

to sing along this weekend.

0:02:440:02:52

Imagine looking up at the sky and seeing this!

0:02:520:02:55

Fire-breathing dragons, cartoon characters,

0:02:550:02:57

and all sorts animals - in kite form, of course -

0:02:570:03:01

have been taking to the skies along the South West Coast of Denmark.

0:03:010:03:05

It's all part of a special three-day event.

0:03:050:03:07

5,000 kite flyers from across the world come together

0:03:070:03:09

on the island of Fano to fly their kites

0:03:090:03:12

together on the beach.

0:03:120:03:14

Pretty spectacular!

0:03:140:03:16

Nurdles, it's a funny word isn't it?

0:03:160:03:18

Well these beads have been causing a big problem in our seas.

0:03:180:03:22

Ayshah's got more.

0:03:220:03:24

JOLLY MUSIC.

0:03:240:03:26

Nurdle.

0:03:260:03:27

Nurdle.

0:03:270:03:29

Nurdle.

0:03:290:03:30

TOGETHER: That's what these things are called.

0:03:300:03:33

And we're here with Ayshah to go on a hunt to find them.

0:03:330:03:42

While they're still looking, I'll tell you a bit more about...

0:03:420:03:45

Nurdles are small plastic balls, similar to micro-beads,

0:03:450:03:48

which are found in face washes.

0:03:480:03:51

They're used to make bigger plastic products,

0:03:510:03:53

like bottles and paddling pools.

0:03:530:03:58

Millions of them wash up on UK beaches every year.

0:03:580:04:02

Guys, what have you found so far?

0:04:020:04:04

We found loads and loads of nurdles, like, tonnes.

0:04:040:04:08

We've found nurdles, and they were just lying

0:04:080:04:10

on the beach, and they're really hard to find.

0:04:100:04:12

The sea is basically pushing them into the ground,

0:04:120:04:16

and the sand's covering them up.

0:04:160:04:21

We're nurdle hunting today, why are we doing it?

0:04:210:04:25

Well, we're trying to get lots of people out onto beaches,

0:04:250:04:27

looking for these little pellets called nurdles, to try

0:04:270:04:29

and help us make a map.

0:04:290:04:32

We use that information to them talk to companies that are handling these

0:04:320:04:35

pellets and spilling them by accident, to help

0:04:350:04:38

them make sure they stop spilling them in the future.

0:04:380:04:42

These pellets are really, really small.

0:04:420:04:44

Can they cause any harm to things that are in the sea?

0:04:440:04:47

They are small, but once they're at sea they don't go away.

0:04:470:04:49

They'll just break down into smaller and smaller pieces,

0:04:490:04:52

and they also unfortunately look quite a lot like animal food,

0:04:520:04:54

like fish eggs, so sea birds and fish eat them,

0:04:540:04:57

and they feel full and don't eat proper food.

0:04:570:05:00

So it is a big problem.

0:05:000:05:03

Who's found nurdles?

0:05:030:05:04

TOGETHER: We have!

0:05:040:05:06

I want to see, I want to see!

0:05:060:05:09

Wow!

0:05:090:05:11

There's some here, there's some here...

0:05:110:05:14

How many do you think we've got?

0:05:140:05:16

More than 1,000.

0:05:160:05:19

There were loads, weren't there?

0:05:190:05:22

Good job, guys.

0:05:220:05:23

You can officially call yourselves...

0:05:230:05:24

TOGETHER: Nurdle hunters!

0:05:240:05:34

Next, why did the sea lion cross the road?

0:05:340:05:37

To stop traffic of course!

0:05:370:05:38

This pretty large mammal was caught on camera,

0:05:380:05:40

right in the middle of a main road in Chile, South America.

0:05:400:05:44

Apparently sea lions sometimes go off on an adventure

0:05:440:05:46

searching for food.

0:05:460:05:48

That's all from me, Newsround's back right here just after 2pm.

0:05:480:05:54

Don't forget to check out the website, for all the rest

0:05:540:05:57

of the day's stories.

0:05:570:05:59

There's loads to get involved with in the CBBC Book Club.

0:06:040:06:06

We've got the Book Of The Month and in the Book Slam,

0:06:060:06:08

we'll be debating where you would rather go on holiday.

0:06:080:06:11

Alice's Wonderland or Narnia?

0:06:110:06:12
