Let's start at the Winter Olympics,

and after a mega weekend of medals,

Team GB are just one away

from their highest ever

total at a winter Games.

After a gold and two bronzes

on Saturday and Sunday,

we've had some more great

performances overnight.

If you are an Ice Stars fan,

check out Penny Coomes

and Nick Buckland who are through to

the final of the ice dancing.

It's an amazing achievement

for Penny, who, less than two years

ago was told she may never skate

again after an injury.

They now go on to tomorrow's

free skate where the

medals will be decided.

There was success too

for Rowan Cheshire in

the freestyle skiing halfpipe.

She missed out on the games four

years ago because of injury

but finished ninth to progress

to the next round.

But it was a morning of frustration

for Britain's Aimee Fuller

in snowboarding's Big Air event.

Her Olympics are over after she fell

on both her qualifying runs

including this big crash

in her second attempt.

Ouch!

She's absolutely fine but she's

got some big bruises.

It was a big night for films

at the British Movie Awards -

the BAFTAs took place in London.

The disney film Coco about a boy

who travels to the land of the dead

to visit his ancestors won the best

Animated Movie prize.

Also on the night most of the stars

wore black outfits -

it's all part of a campaign

to support greater respect

for women and for equality

between men and women in movies.

Here on Newsround we love hearing

about your inspirational stories,

so we've travelled around

the country to hear some

of your inspiring stories.

One of those we met was Jack ?

he struggled to learn to talk

when he was young but it was music

that really helped him.

I have ADHD, dyspraxia and autism.

I have problems

communicating with children.

And making friends.

Hello.

My name's Jack.

I'm ten years old and when I was

little, I was not able to speak.

And I had speech and

language therapy, but that

didn't really help me.

I used to do head-banging

whenever I wanted something.

I had to wear a red solid helmet.

It was just so sad for me.

I just hated it.

My first music lesson,

a singing teacher was playing

the piano and then I started to sing

la la la.

I was like, oh, my God!

I can speak!

But basically, I had to learn

a word by singing it,

and then speaking it.

So once I've got a word,

I've got it for basically like life.

Music really relaxes me,

because when I'm getting

all stressed, it's like someone's

putting a spell on me that I can,

like, music makes me so happy.

If there is any other children

like me who have problems speaking,

find something that will relax

you like for example drawing

or music or anything

that will relax you.

Now I start speaking, my mum says

I never stopped speaking.

And I think that's because I need

to make up for all the years

when I wasn't speaking.

We've all got things

we like to do with our family,

like having a meal together

Well we've been to meet one

family who spend time

together, just clowning around.

There are three clowns in my family.

I'm one of the luckiest fathers

alive to have the opportunity

and the chance just to perform

and have a fantastic

time with my family.

I've seen the same routines Dad has

about a hundred million and one

times, but it's all right,

the girls really enjoy it,

and the girls have always got things

to show, and they're always really

proud of things that

they do with their dad.

He rings bells or something.

Sorry.

I'm trying to do this!

I'm trying to do it.

I'm trying to do bells and...

I'm very proud dad.

More than proud.

When I see them having fun

and enjoying themselves,

and when I see people smiling,

I'm smiling and I'm having fun.

Daddy.

He is great, and he's funny,

and he does silly jokes.

Now, Blackpool is known

for a its spectacular illuminations

but something else has been lighting

up the sky over

Blackpool this weekend.

This amazing murmeration

of starlings swooped

on the seaside town,

making on wonderful forms

and shapes like giant waves

rising from the water.

The birds gather together to keep

safe and warm and scientists think

they swap information

about where to find food.
