Good afternoon, it's Martin here with all the news this Thursday.

0:00:110:00:13

Coming up...

0:00:130:00:13

I have come to meet a French family to find out how they are coping

0:00:130:00:17

after last Friday's Paris attacks.

0:00:170:00:18

And Paralympian Sarah Storey tells us about being bullied.

0:00:180:00:23

First to Paris, the capital city of France.

0:00:260:00:29

People in the country are trying to get back to normal

0:00:290:00:31

after the attacks that happened there last Friday, where more than

0:00:310:00:34

120 people lost their lives.

0:00:340:00:37

Jenny's been to meet one family to find out how they have been

0:00:370:00:40

dealing with what's happened.

0:00:400:00:44

Dune is 11 years old.

0:00:440:00:46

She lives in the centre of Paris with her mum and dad.

0:00:460:00:49

Like many other families, they have been trying to come to terms with

0:00:490:00:52

what has happened in their city.

0:00:520:00:54

I remembered I was about to play and my mum told us there were

0:00:540:00:58

explosions.

0:00:580:01:00

She put on the TV and we saw it was on every channel.

0:01:000:01:04

It was really shocking.

0:01:040:01:05

I was petrified because, like, I was scared it was going to happen to me.

0:01:050:01:11

We saw the army and police and so on.

0:01:110:01:14

She needs to be confident because it exists and it happens but

0:01:140:01:21

we need to go ahead with our lives.

0:01:210:01:26

On Wednesday morning, police and military carried out big

0:01:260:01:28

raids in the north of Paris to try to arrest people they thought were

0:01:280:01:31

responsible for the attacks.

0:01:310:01:34

So, I was looking at the TV.

0:01:340:01:36

When I was awaking Dune at 7:30am,

0:01:360:01:38

she said, "What happened?"

0:01:380:01:39

I explained to Dune.

0:01:390:01:41

So, the police and the army they are trying to capture the bad people.

0:01:410:01:47

The police are everywhere.

0:01:470:01:48

It is just a good thing.

0:01:480:01:52

I do not think anyone will attack us.

0:01:520:01:55

How have you been supporting each other?

0:01:550:01:57

My family is really close together.

0:01:570:02:00

I feel like I am in the centre of a huge hug.

0:02:000:02:03

It is very tragic but, like, life continues.

0:02:030:02:10

The Earth continue spinning, it is not going to stop,

0:02:100:02:13

so we need to continue living.

0:02:130:02:16

Do you have any more questions for your mum?

0:02:160:02:18

Is it going to get better?

0:02:180:02:23

I am not so sure to have the answer.

0:02:230:02:26

I am sure France is going to be better.

0:02:260:02:29

We are a democratic country and I think we are doing everything to try

0:02:290:02:32

to get life better.

0:02:320:02:36

But...

0:02:360:02:40

In a difficult world.

0:02:400:02:42

Head to the Newsround website to find out more

0:02:420:02:45

about what's happening in Paris.

0:02:450:02:46

And there's advice there if anything in the news upsets you.

0:02:460:02:51

Right now it's Anti-Bullying Week.

0:02:510:02:52

At Newsround, we've been hearing about some of your experiences.

0:02:520:02:56

And you're certainly not alone - you might be surprised to learn that one

0:02:560:03:00

of the greatest Paralympic athletes Dame Sarah Story suffered too.

0:03:000:03:06

She told me her story.

0:03:060:03:08

For medals, you do not get much better than Dame Sarah Storey.

0:03:080:03:12

She has competed in a massive six Paralympic Games, starting

0:03:120:03:15

in Barcelona, when she was just 14.

0:03:150:03:19

With 11 golds, eight silver, and three bronze medals in both cycling

0:03:190:03:22

and swimming, she is Great Britain's most successful female Paralympian.

0:03:220:03:27

When she was at school, she was badly bullied.

0:03:270:03:31

She has been telling me all about it.

0:03:310:03:33

Going to the Games as a 14-year-old, the 1992 Paralympic Games

0:03:330:03:36

in Barcelona, when I came home from those Games,

0:03:360:03:38

school was quite a different place to what I remembered it to be.

0:03:380:03:42

As a result of me getting on with the job, being a good student,

0:03:420:03:46

concentrating on my studies, not really blowing my own trumpet,

0:03:460:03:49

I became someone who was not very popular at school any more.

0:03:490:03:54

No-one wanted to sit with me in the classroom.

0:03:540:03:56

They talked about me behind my back.

0:03:560:03:58

It was that situation when you walked down the corridor and people

0:03:580:04:01

would quickly run the other way.

0:04:010:04:02

I would be in the toilets in a cubicle and they would come

0:04:020:04:05

in talking about me.

0:04:050:04:06

I think the message for anyone who is being bullied,

0:04:060:04:09

first and foremost, don't be afraid to go and tell someone.

0:04:090:04:11

A problem shared is a problem halved.

0:04:110:04:13

The person you tell, they might not have the ability to do anything

0:04:130:04:16

practical to help you but just by getting it off your chest will help.

0:04:160:04:20

Thanks, Sarah.

0:04:230:04:23

We want you all to tune in to CBBC at 5:30pm

0:04:230:04:26

tonight to watch the very first Newsround debate on Bullying.

0:04:260:04:30

We know it's something that many of you are struggling with.

0:04:300:04:32

See children share their experiences and get advice from experts

0:04:320:04:37

on the best ways to tackle it.

0:04:370:04:39

Or to help bullies.

0:04:390:04:45

That's all on CBBC at 5:30pm.

0:04:450:04:48

That's all from me.

0:04:480:04:50

Newsround's back tomorrow morning at 7:40am. Bye.
