I'm Jenny, it's Tuesday and this is Newsround. | :00:00. | :00:00.
Can the Kepler Space Telescope reveal all for us? | :00:07. | :00:14.
And the city birds who need a little helping hand from humans. | :00:15. | :00:27.
First, to the serious incident, which happened in London | :00:28. | :00:29.
A van was driven into a crowd coming out of a mosque in North London. | :00:30. | :00:35.
Several people were hurt, and one man has sadly died. | :00:36. | :00:39.
Police say the attacker acted alone, and a man has been arrested. | :00:40. | :00:42.
The Prime Minister Theresa May, has spoken out to say the UK | :00:43. | :00:48.
will not give in to hate, and across London, vigils | :00:49. | :00:50.
were held last night, to remember the people affected. | :00:51. | :00:52.
Martin went along to one, in north London, and sent us this. | :00:53. | :01:02.
Is the people of north London have come to this church to hold a peace | :01:03. | :01:13.
vigil. Everyone has come with all different beliefs, religions, | :01:14. | :01:16.
backgrounds. They are lighting candles, saying prayers to show that | :01:17. | :01:20.
despite what happened here, everyone is still united. | :01:21. | :01:22.
Now we don't yet know exactly why this attack happened. | :01:23. | :01:24.
In the past, Muslims have been targeted because of their religion. | :01:25. | :01:29.
Some people say that's what was behind the attack in Finsbury Park. | :01:30. | :01:32.
Attacking muslims as a group is sometimes called Islamophobia - | :01:33. | :01:35.
Islamophobia is where Muslims are the victims of attacks just because | :01:36. | :01:45.
of their religion. Something that worries a lot of people, and is at | :01:46. | :01:50.
the news at the moment. Islam is a religion, the people who follow it | :01:51. | :01:56.
are called Muslims. Almost a quarter of the world's population is Muslim. | :01:57. | :02:00.
In the UK it is about one in 20 people. Islamophobia can result in | :02:01. | :02:06.
Muslims being targeted online or in person. Badly treated, insulted or | :02:07. | :02:14.
even physically hurt. Some people have blamed all Muslims for | :02:15. | :02:19.
terrorist attacks carried out by extreme groups, who say they follow | :02:20. | :02:24.
Islam. Many others save those extreme beliefs in hatred and | :02:25. | :02:28.
violence have little to do with what most Muslims believe. They also say | :02:29. | :02:34.
it is important not to blame a big group of people for what a small | :02:35. | :02:38.
number of individuals have done. And that what unites us all is more | :02:39. | :02:42.
powerful than what divides us. You can keep up to date | :02:43. | :02:45.
with everything that we know over at Newsround online and don't forget | :02:46. | :02:48.
if you're upset by this story, or by anything in the news, | :02:49. | :02:50.
there's loads of help Tennis now, Andy Murray is in action | :02:51. | :02:53.
later today when he'll be He's going for a sixth win | :02:54. | :02:57.
in the tournament that will take him He plays Aljaz Bedene | :02:58. | :03:01.
around half three. Meanwhile, fellow Brit Kyle Edmunds | :03:02. | :03:06.
was knocked out yesterday in a shock defeat to Canadian teenager Denis | :03:07. | :03:09.
Shapovalov. Well if there is life | :03:10. | :03:13.
outside our planet, it might be found on one of ten new Earth-sized | :03:14. | :03:21.
planets, discovered by Nasa They say data from the Kepler Space | :03:22. | :03:24.
Telescope, has shown a set of rocky planets, | :03:25. | :03:27.
orbiting their suns at a similar distance to our Earth and sun, | :03:28. | :03:30.
meaning they could have water Next - They're everywhere you look | :03:31. | :03:32.
in big cities from pigeons to birds Whether they're falling out | :03:33. | :03:41.
of their nest or flying into widows of high rise buildings they don't | :03:42. | :03:46.
always get an easy time of it. So a hospital has opened to treat | :03:47. | :03:50.
them in New York City in America. New York City, some call it a | :03:51. | :04:07.
concrete jungle, solar wildlife. That is if you look a little closer. | :04:08. | :04:13.
You might spot birds like these American kestrels. He looks really | :04:14. | :04:21.
alert, responsive. Really good science. These guys are being | :04:22. | :04:26.
treated right now in a hospital just for birds. Even though you might not | :04:27. | :04:31.
expect to see them in a big city like New York, they tend to nest in | :04:32. | :04:36.
old city buildings, where there is shelter and lots of food. It can | :04:37. | :04:41.
mean they faced lots of danger. Falling out of the nest, and | :04:42. | :04:48.
warbling along the sidewalk. We get over 120 different species. The main | :04:49. | :04:52.
species we get because we are located in the upper west side of | :04:53. | :04:56.
the city are pigeons, sparrows and starlings. The team look after | :04:57. | :05:02.
hundreds of other birds. Providing them with food, medicine, it care | :05:03. | :05:07.
and clean. City life is extremely dangerous. So much danger out there. | :05:08. | :05:13.
The birds can get into it. Buildings. During the migratory | :05:14. | :05:19.
season thousands of birds migrate over our city and hit windows, and | :05:20. | :05:25.
land on the ground. It is our responsibility as citizens in the | :05:26. | :05:30.
city to rescue these animals. The TV just had a new patient. A pigeon | :05:31. | :05:35.
with a damaged wing. They have managed to fix this bird pretty | :05:36. | :05:41.
quickly. Even though the team treat about 50 bird today. The biggest | :05:42. | :05:45.
achievement is when they can release them fit and healthy, back into the | :05:46. | :05:47.
wild. That's all from me, Newsround's back | :05:48. | :05:48.
right here at 4.20 this Little Roy is angling for a holiday, | :05:49. | :06:05.
coming up next. | :06:06. | :06:08. |
