Hey Newsrounders - I'm Hayley and I'm ready to roll

with this lot today.

The turtle that took a wrong turn and ended up in a pool.

And the city birds who need a little helping hand from humans.

First, hundreds of people attended a vigil in North London last night

after the terror attack that took place in the area early

on Monday morning.

A van was driven into a crowd of people

coming out of a mosque.

Several people were hurt, and one person has sadly died.

A man has been arrested and police say the attacker acted alone.

Prime Minister Theresa May has spoken out to say the UK

will not give in to hate.

Martin went to a school in North London earlier today

to speak to some kids who live nearby, and they told

him how important the community is to them.

Because of the terror attacks many Muslim people now have to suffer,

even though they weren't involved in any of this.

I feel very sorry and we as a community, we all hope and give

all our love and care to try and help the people who were injured

or died unfortunately.

The fact about Muslims being targeted is really worrying me

because I have many friends that are Muslim and they really do

help me through a lot of things, when I'm sad or anything like that

and I wouldn't like the thought of them getting hurt.

Our community is really diverse and that makes us strong and it

will keep us together.

It's very important to not give up and stick together

and we are all caring about each other.

The families that have lost or their loved ones that

were injured, need to know that people around them are

coming to support them.

We have family, we have friends, but the community

is the next best thing.

I feel like if we don't have the community I guess

we are going nowhere so we've got to stay strong together to make

sure we can tackle this because we can beat them,

it's just we need the help of everybody.

Next - city birds don't always get an easy time of it.

So a hospital has opened in New York to treat them.

Watch this.

New York City.

Some call it a concrete jungle.

Full of wildlife.

That's if you look a little closer.

You might spot birds like these American kestrels.

He looks really alert, these are really good signs.

But these guys are being treated right now in

a hospital just for birds.

Even though you might not expect to see them in a big city

like New York, they actually tend to nest in old city buildings where

there is shelter and lots of food.

But it can mean they face lots of danger, like falling

out of the nest and end up wobbling along a sidewalk.

We get over 120 different species, but they are mainly,

the main species that we get just because we are located on the west

side are the pigeons, sparrows and starlings.

The team here look after hundreds of other birds too.

Providing them with food, medicine, care and cleaning.

City life is extremely dangerous, there is so much danger out there,

that the birds can get into.

Like the buildings, during the migratory season's

thousands of birds migrate over New York City and hit

the windows and they just crash and land on the ground.

So it's our responsibility as citizens and a city

to rescue these animals.

The team have just had a new new patient in,

a pigeon with a damaged wing.

But they've managed to fix this bird up pretty quickly.

Even though the team treat around 50 birds a day the biggest achievement

is when they can release them fit and healthy back into the wild.

Next - check out this mummy sea turtle who found her way

into a families swimming pool in Florida.

Its thought she got lost after hiding her eggs in the beach.

She was eventually rescued and put back where she belongs.

Which is quite a feat considering she weights 250 pounds,

which is about two of me!
