Newsround. On the way: thousands of music fans head to Glasgow for Radio

1's Big Weekend. And a new world record for David

Weir. A dream come true and a moment that

will live with me forever. That's how Gareth Bale described winning

the Champions League last night. The 24-year-old from Cardiff scored his

victory sparked these wild celebrations.

natural environment, wants to let people remove the nests of robins,

starlings and pied wagtails, if they pose a health and safety risk. The

RSPB say if the plans went ahead it would mean nests and eggs could be

destroyed without monitoring. He was one of the stars of the 2012

Paralympic Games in London, and David Weir just keeps getting

better. He's broken his own world record for the road mile in a

wheelchair, crossing the line in three minutes seven seconds -

missing that three- minute barrier by just seven seconds. It all

happened on the anniversary of the four-minute mile by a man called

Roger Bannister. Thousands of fans have been packing

Glasgow Green for Radio 1's Big Weekend. Performances were kicked

off by One Direction, with lots of other acts, including Calvin Harris

and Lille Allen. -- Coldplay. Crowds will be back today to watch

performances from Paolo Nutini, Katy Perry, Kings of Leon and more. Head
