Hey, Leah here with the biggest stories from around the world. It's

Sunday lunchtime and this is Newsround.

We head to Glasgow for Radio 1's Big Weekend. And some unusual pupils who

just don't want to leave their school.

First to Ukraine in eastern Europe, and following months of unrest

people there are getting the chance to vote for a new president. Earlier

this year, street protests led to the former leader, Victor

Yanukovych, being kicked out of the country. Since then there's been

months of clashes between people who want Ukraine to have closer ties

with its neighbour Russia, and others who don't and want more to do

with the rest of Europe instead. But voting hasn't been easy especially

in eastern Ukraine. The BBC's Mark Lowen sent us this.

There was supposed to be 483 active polling stations here but none of

them are operational. One of the biggest cities in Ukraine are set --

find our guide. The Queen's Baton continues its

journey around Wales today and to mark the occasion a new

commemorative 50p coin has been made The coin was unveiled at the Royal

Mint after the baton arrived with the help of Welsh 400 metre hurdler

Rhys Williams, who also helped create it. The baton's on a journey

travelling around 71 nations and territories across the world ahead

of the Commonwealth Games this summer.

An entire seaside village in Devon with popular surfing beaches has

been put up for sale this weekend. The area has been owned by the same

family for several generations and is expected to go on sale for around

?11.5 million. Estate agents say they've received interest from

around the world. And 25,000 fans packed out Glasgow

Green for Radio One's Big Weekend. The One Direction boys kicked the

party off followed by loads of other performances that kept the crowds

entertained. So let's take a quick look then at what happened on day

one. Glasgow Green packed full of funds.

the night before but showed no signs of being tired, and with fans like

this you can see why. Later in the day, even Radio 1

presenter Fearne Cotton couldn't help having a little dance. Everyone

definitely remembered Ed Sheeran. He got the crowds singing along. But

the performance of the night went to Coldplay. You might recognise this

song. With they won being such a success, fans will be looking

forward to doing it all over again this afternoon.

There'll be performances from Kings of Leon and Katy Perry later and

'A dream come true' and a 'moment that will live with me forever'.

That's how Gareth Bale described winning the Champions League last

night. The 24-year-old from Cardiff scored the most important goal of

his career to help Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 4-1 in the final.

Bale became the world's most expensive player when he joined the

Spanish side last year and the team's victory sparked these wild

celebrations. This is why I came here. To win the

Champions League in my first season as a dream come true. They are

difficult to break down so we knew we had to keep grinding away until

the last minute. It gave us a lot of momentum into extra time.

QPR fans will be travelling to Old Trafford and Anfield next season

after their team won promotion to the Premier League after beating

Derby County 1-0 at Wembley. Substitute Bobby Zamora scored the

winning goal for the hoops with QPR's only shot on target in the

whole game. Promotion to the Premier League is worth around ?80 million

and Harry Redknapp's boys managed to get back into the top flight at

their first attempt. For those of you who are on half

term holidays, did you rush out of school on your last day? Well, for

some school goers in America it was a bit tricky getting everyone out of

the door Pleasant Valley School has been sharing its courtyard with a

family of ducks for the last two months but now the ducklings have

got older they need help getting out. Teachers helped them from the

courtyard to the hallway and out the door. The school librarian hopes

they'll be OK. We hope the ROK. We hope they are going to be safe and

we hope they get fed. We worry about them a little bit but we are excited
