Good morning, I'm here with the stories to end your week.

0:00:060:00:10

Here's what's on the show: Are robots going to change your future?

0:00:100:00:14

And measuring all the animals at London Zoo.

0:00:140:00:24

More and more, robots are doing jobs that people used to do.

0:00:260:00:29

While that can be good news when it comes to jobs

0:00:290:00:32

that people don't like, could it mean there aren't enough

0:00:320:00:35

jobs for humans in the future?

0:00:350:00:36

That's what 11-year-old Newsrounder Jasmine

0:00:360:00:38

wanted to investigate.

0:00:380:00:39

Watch this.

0:00:390:00:45

Me and my friends are worried about robots taking over our jobs

0:00:450:00:47

in the future.

0:00:470:00:49

I have come to a robotics lab to see what robots can do.

0:00:490:00:53

How are robots changing the types of job people have?

0:00:530:00:58

We are seeing a lot more robots in jobs that don't

0:00:580:01:00

take complex thinking.

0:01:000:01:02

I went to San Francisco recently and there is a cafe

0:01:020:01:05

where all the coffees are made by robots.

0:01:050:01:07

Do you think changes are a good thing or bad thing?

0:01:070:01:11

We are seeing more robots designed for helping people.

0:01:110:01:15

Going in if there is a natural disaster and

0:01:150:01:17

taking food, taking aid.

0:01:170:01:20

If robots can be used for good, that's great.

0:01:200:01:22

But we are seeing people losing their jobs and that's

0:01:220:01:25

happening quickly.

0:01:250:01:27

In the future it's possible we won't need to drive cars

0:01:270:01:29

because they'll drive themselves.

0:01:290:01:32

What happens to people like taxi or lorry drivers

0:01:320:01:34

who drive for a job?

0:01:340:01:37

A driverless car, you don't really need the driver.

0:01:370:01:42

We need to look carefully at what other jobs we can find

0:01:420:01:46

for these people to make sure that they don't become jobless.

0:01:460:01:49

Would you like to have a go at the simulator?

0:01:490:01:51

Yes.

0:01:510:01:53

It's going by itself.

0:01:530:01:55

It sees the other car from the right.

0:01:550:01:57

It stops.

0:01:570:01:58

It makes sure.

0:01:580:01:59

And we have no accident.

0:01:590:02:02

It's not just driverless cars, all types of jobs

0:02:020:02:04

could be taken over.

0:02:040:02:06

What can I do to prepare for changes?

0:02:060:02:10

We know there are going to be some jobs that you just

0:02:100:02:13

can't have robots doing.

0:02:130:02:14

If you are a nurse, if you are a carer.

0:02:140:02:18

It's very difficult for a robot to really have

0:02:180:02:20

that human interaction.

0:02:200:02:23

Also we need people that are programming the robots,

0:02:230:02:26

hopefully for good things in the future.

0:02:260:02:28

I had a really fun day today.

0:02:280:02:38

I think robots are good because they help people

0:02:380:02:40

with disabilities, but I also think they're bad

0:02:400:02:42

because people lose their jobs.

0:02:420:02:44

People in Texas are getting ready for the arrival of Hurricane Harvey

0:02:440:02:47

which could be the worst storm to hit the US in 12 years.

0:02:470:02:53

The hurricane is expected to arrive tonight and huge amounts of wind

0:02:530:02:56

and rain could bring really bad flooding.

0:02:560:02:57

People living nearby have been stocking up in case

0:02:570:03:00

the shops have to close.

0:03:000:03:01

Here's that panda news I promised.

0:03:010:03:04

The UK's only female giant panda, Tian Tian, could be having a baby.

0:03:040:03:07

Her keepers at Edinburgh Zoo say they don't know exactly

0:03:070:03:11

when the baby cub is due to arrive, but she is being closely watched.

0:03:110:03:15

But don't get too excited just yet, experts have thought Tian Tian

0:03:150:03:19

was pregnant several times before but have had to admit

0:03:190:03:21

they were wrong!

0:03:210:03:24

England's women are getting ready to defend their title at the rugby

0:03:240:03:27

world cup final tomorrow.

0:03:270:03:29

They'll be taking on New Zealand at the match in Belfast.

0:03:290:03:32

So what do young fans make of their fantastic run?

0:03:320:03:38

Rugby is fun, awesome and tiring.

0:03:380:03:40

Amazing.

0:03:400:03:41

Fun and awesome.

0:03:410:03:43

Great, wonderful and fun.

0:03:430:03:49

I feel really happy that the England team are in the final.

0:03:490:03:52

It's exciting and it makes me feel really happy.

0:03:520:03:55

England in the finals is really exciting.

0:03:550:03:57

I am really excited because I can't wait for England to be

0:03:570:04:01

the champions again.

0:04:010:04:06

Seeing England in the final is good and I can't wait to see

0:04:060:04:09

them play New Zealand.

0:04:090:04:10

So they can win their World Cup.

0:04:100:04:12

They have a chance to be one of the best teams in the world.

0:04:120:04:15

England and New Zealand are both really good teams.

0:04:150:04:18

I think England will win but only by a narrow score.

0:04:180:04:24

England, just try your hardest and we will all be proud of you.

0:04:240:04:27

Keep working hard because that's the best they can do.

0:04:270:04:31

Good luck England.

0:04:310:04:32

We believe in you.

0:04:320:04:34

Good luck England.

0:04:340:04:35

I hope you win.

0:04:350:04:38

My good luck message to the England women is to keep their heads

0:04:380:04:44

up and hope they win and play really well.

0:04:440:04:47

Good luck England!

0:04:470:04:51

I love those messages, thanks, guys.

0:04:510:04:53

OK, time for a quick round-up of some of the other

0:04:530:04:56

sports stories today.

0:04:560:04:58

Everton fans saw something pretty special from Gylfi Sigurdsson

0:04:580:05:02

as their team reached the Europa League group stage.

0:05:020:05:05

That's his first goal since he joined Everton from Swansea.

0:05:050:05:08

Wow.

0:05:080:05:10

And it was Mo Farah's last ever race on the track last night

0:05:100:05:13

and it was a pretty close finish!

0:05:130:05:15

Mo won at the Diamond League race in Zurich.

0:05:150:05:19

Now he'll be concentrating on running marathons on the road.

0:05:190:05:24

And finally, how do you find out the length a lion?

0:05:240:05:27

You hang its dinner from a tree of course.

0:05:270:05:29

This is one being measured at London Zoo as part

0:05:290:05:32

of its annual weigh-in.

0:05:320:05:34

The sizes and weights of the animals are recorded, so keepers can

0:05:340:05:37

check their health and well-being.

0:05:370:05:41

There are more than 20,000 animals and 698 different

0:05:410:05:43

species at the zoo!

0:05:430:05:47

And if you go online right now you can have a go

0:05:470:05:50

at our animal weight quiz.

0:05:500:05:51

I've seen some of you got them all right.

0:05:510:05:54

I got one of them wrong this morning, so it's tricky!

0:05:540:05:56

Jenny's here at 4:20pm.

0:05:560:06:03

I love Art Ninja! I love The Next Step!

0:06:050:06:08

I love Dumping Ground.

0:06:080:06:09

We... All... Love...

0:06:090:06:12

ALL: CBBC!

0:06:120:06:14

My favourite programme is The Next Step

0:06:140:06:17

because I love dancing and all the relationships

0:06:170:06:19

and drama that's in it.
