Hello, I'm Hayley and welcome to your Thursday morning Newsround. | :00:00. | :00:08.
Pandas played to learn survival skills. | :00:09. | :00:15.
Plastic power - the new trumpets sounding off in schools. | :00:16. | :00:21.
It's been a week since Scotland voted not to become independent | :00:22. | :00:24.
The No result has sparked big discussions about how the whole | :00:25. | :00:28.
So, Scotland isn't becoming an independent country. | :00:29. | :00:36.
But it has been promised more of its own powers. | :00:37. | :00:40.
And now there are some politicians who think that things | :00:41. | :00:42.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have their own parliaments or | :00:43. | :00:51.
assemblies with their own politicians, who can decide | :00:52. | :00:53.
on certain issues for that nation - such as schools and hospitals. | :00:54. | :00:58.
All things are decided by Members of the UK Parliament, based in London. | :00:59. | :01:07.
That means MPs from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can vote | :01:08. | :01:11.
But it doesn't work the other way round. | :01:12. | :01:18.
The Prime Minister David Cameron, who's from the Conservative Party, | :01:19. | :01:21.
English votes for English laws is really just about fairness. At the | :01:22. | :01:33.
moment Scotland has its own parliament. And that this saves the | :01:34. | :01:38.
rules for schools and hospitals in Scotland. But Scotland also sends | :01:39. | :01:44.
Members of Parliament to the United Kingdom Parliament and they help to | :01:45. | :01:49.
make all of the rules for schools and hospitals in England also. | :01:50. | :01:51.
But the Labour Party - the main opposition party to the | :01:52. | :01:53.
Matthew and Sofia, who live in England, | :01:54. | :01:57.
She talks about Scotland for the Labour Party. | :01:58. | :02:02.
Is the Labour Party going to change the rules so that only England MPs | :02:03. | :02:06.
The Labour Party is not going to do that. We have MPs from across | :02:07. | :02:19.
Britain and we believe that when we come together in the British | :02:20. | :02:22.
Parliament there are big things we do together and we think it is | :02:23. | :02:26.
important that all of the people making those decisions are treated | :02:27. | :02:27.
equally across Britain. Do you think it's fair that MPs | :02:28. | :02:29.
in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can vote | :02:30. | :02:31.
on issues that only affect England, but MPs from England can't vote | :02:32. | :02:34.
on those same issues in Scotland, I think it is fair. We are all | :02:35. | :02:47.
joined up together. If you try to start on clicking what is Scotland | :02:48. | :02:53.
or England or Wales, it is not straightforward. | :02:54. | :02:54.
Politicians from all parties are agreed that Scotland will get more | :02:55. | :02:57.
powers as a result of the No vote in the referendum. | :02:58. | :02:59.
But they are now arguing about what that vote means | :03:00. | :03:02.
Kids causing a nuisance and being disruptive in class are stopping | :03:03. | :03:07.
other children learning, according to school inspection group Ofsted. | :03:08. | :03:11.
Evidence from 3,000 school visits showed pupils potentially lose up | :03:12. | :03:16.
to an hour of learning every day because other pupils are messing | :03:17. | :03:20.
But some teachers say that's not true. | :03:21. | :03:29.
It was have it. Disrespect towards teachers. I think that affected a | :03:30. | :03:40.
lot of the learning. I was sick when I first started but I think I am | :03:41. | :03:42.
starting to learn and I feel clever. Music lessons are getting brighter | :03:43. | :03:44.
and noisier at one school They've swapped traditional brass | :03:45. | :03:48.
instruments for these cheaper, The traditional ones are expensive | :03:49. | :03:50.
and often too heavy for kids Exciting. Because you get to play a | :03:51. | :04:09.
trumpet and learned how to do it. It is really fun. You have to blow for | :04:10. | :04:17.
a long time. And when you drop it, make sure it doesn't break. | :04:18. | :04:20.
A pair of giant pandas are having to learn | :04:21. | :04:22.
new survival skills so they can look after themselves when they're | :04:23. | :04:25.
Yun-Tow and Yang Hua have been moved to a bigger outdoor pen to look | :04:26. | :04:30.
for their own food, get some exercise and fresh air. | :04:31. | :04:32.
It's a special training camp for pandas who are leaving captivity. | :04:33. | :04:39.
Just enough time to ask you to send in your spider pictures. | :04:40. | :04:42.
We're talking to an expert later about what to do when you find them. | :04:43. | :04:45.
And find out which member of Take That is leaving the band. | :04:46. | :04:52.
That's all from me, Newsround's back right here in about half an hour. | :04:53. | :04:55.
