You're with Newsround this morning - hope you had a magical weekend.

:00:00.:00:00.

It's 20 years today since the world met Harry Potter and friends.

:00:07.:00:12.

But first, it's been 20 years since the first

:00:13.:00:29.

Harry Potter book was released, but did you know that a lot

:00:30.:00:31.

of the ideas for the books came from real-life places right

:00:32.:00:34.

The first stop on our Harry Potter tour is a little cafe in the heart

:00:35.:00:44.

of Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh.

:00:45.:00:47.

This is the place where JK Rowling used to come to write

:00:48.:00:50.

the Harry Potter books, and she'd sit in this exact seat.

:00:51.:00:55.

Now people come from around the world to visit it.

:00:56.:00:57.

And if you look out of the window from this spot, there's one pretty

:00:58.:01:01.

big clue about where the idea for her wizarding school came from.

:01:02.:01:07.

Our second landmark, Edinburgh Castle,

:01:08.:01:10.

"Perched atop a high mountain, its windows sparkling in the starry

:01:11.:01:14.

sky, was a vast castle with many turrets and towers."

:01:15.:01:20.

The books are packed full of characters with unusual names -

:01:21.:01:30.

Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, Narcissa Malfoy.

:01:31.:01:32.

Some of them she got from the names of flowers, stars,

:01:33.:01:35.

Others she got from places like this.

:01:36.:01:43.

Four, the reptile house at London Zoo.

:01:44.:01:46.

Potter fans will recognise this as the first place where we really

:01:47.:01:49.

"It was cool and dark in here, with little windows

:01:50.:01:56.

Harry sat up and gasped - the glass front of the boa

:01:57.:02:02.

Five, King's Cross station, London, where our journey comes to an end

:02:03.:02:09.

Not only does he meet his best friend Ron here, but it's also

:02:10.:02:14.

the spot where he takes the Hogwarts Express

:02:15.:02:16.

A scarlet steam engine was waiting next to a platform

:02:17.:02:22.

A sign overhead said 'Hogwarts Express, 11 o'clock,'

:02:23.:02:26.

And the Harry Potter books aren't just a brilliant read -

:02:27.:02:43.

lots of you have found them really helpful.

:02:44.:02:45.

I love Harry Potter because it's just an amazing story, it's

:02:46.:02:49.

I love Harry Potter because it's such a creative and imaginative

:02:50.:02:56.

series of books, and it allows your imagination

:02:57.:03:00.

It's just one of those things that when you're feeling sad,

:03:01.:03:05.

just pick up a Harry Potter and suddenly you get taken away

:03:06.:03:08.

If I was feeling sad or something, I just read Harry Potter and I start

:03:09.:03:13.

Everything they do is kind of teaching you just

:03:14.:03:16.

Recently I had to deal with the death of my grandad

:03:17.:03:21.

and I found that really upsetting, but then I looked back

:03:22.:03:24.

at Harry Potter and he's such a courageous character,

:03:25.:03:27.

and I just looked back at the quotes, for example,

:03:28.:03:30.

"Happiness can be found in even the darkest places," and that just

:03:31.:03:33.

It's really inspiring to see how much someone can go through,

:03:34.:03:42.

and when he's talking to Ron he's still happy at the same time.

:03:43.:03:47.

I moved earlier this year and I think that when I read

:03:48.:03:51.

Harry Potter it helped me because it helped me with the transition

:03:52.:03:55.

I made, because of the transition he made when he went from growing up

:03:56.:04:00.

with muggles to going to a wizarding school.

:04:01.:04:04.

If I'm down, I just pick up the book and my mind goes

:04:05.:04:07.

Harry Potter has definitely inspired me to write more stories

:04:08.:04:12.

and do more writing at home when I'm bored.

:04:13.:04:15.

I just go and grab Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire,

:04:16.:04:18.

It's been a packed weekend of music at Glastonbury,

:04:19.:04:35.

and Ed Sheeran closed the festival with an amazing set.

:04:36.:04:42.

Ed played without a band as usual and got the crowd to sing along

:04:43.:04:45.

with him on his hits such as Thinking Out Loud

:04:46.:04:48.

There's a few arguments going on in the sporting world right now -

:04:49.:04:55.

listen out for the words "disgusting" and "desperate"...

:04:56.:04:57.

Rugby Union first, and British and Irish Lions coach Warren Gatland

:04:58.:05:00.

has been called "desperate" by All Blacks boss Steve Hansen.

:05:01.:05:05.

Gatland had said that New Zealand illegally targetted Lions scrum-half

:05:06.:05:07.

Conor Murray during the Lions' first Test defeat in Auckland

:05:08.:05:10.

and could have caused a career-ending injury.

:05:11.:05:15.

Meanwhile, on the race track, Lewis Hamilton called

:05:16.:05:17.

Sebastian Vettel's driving "disgusting" after the two clashed

:05:18.:05:19.

The race included included three safety cars and lots of crashes.

:05:20.:05:25.

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo won the race.

:05:26.:05:30.

Next, this bull is definitely not a cricket fan.

:05:31.:05:33.

The cheeky animal interrupted this match in Bollington,

:05:34.:05:35.

Nobody was hurt and, once the bull had gone, play continued.

:05:36.:05:46.

Make sure you head online because we have a special Harry Potter vote, we

:05:47.:05:55.

want to know what animal you would take to hot quartz. That closes

:05:56.:05:59.

today at around 3:30pm. See you later, goodbye.

:06:00.:06:04.

Becky is making a scrapbook for her hero,

:06:05.:06:05.

and Little Roy wants to find out who it is in Little Roy, coming up next.

:06:06.:06:10.
