Hi, I'm Ricky with the big stories this Tuesday morning. | :00:00. | :00:00.
Paralympic star Ellie Robinson heads back to school. | :00:00. | :00:14.
And from cheers to gears - Matt Le Blanc signs a new deal. | :00:15. | :00:29.
First, to an exciting space discovery - | :00:30. | :00:31.
scientists say they've spotted jets of water | :00:32. | :00:33.
on one of the moons circling the planet Jupiter. | :00:34. | :00:36.
sent back from Nasa's Hubble Space Telescope, | :00:37. | :00:40.
spurting out from the moon's huge ocean under the surface. | :00:41. | :00:46.
Water is important because it means there's a chance | :00:47. | :00:48.
Well, joining me now to talk about this is Dr Sarah Crowther | :00:49. | :00:54.
Thank you for joining us this morning. How exciting is this | :00:55. | :01:05.
discovery to you? It's very interesting and exciting. As you | :01:06. | :01:09.
said, there's lots of water on Europa, but the surface is covered | :01:10. | :01:13.
in a thick layer of ice. We know that water is essential to life. | :01:14. | :01:19.
Nasa work careful to say that they have not found any life there yet, | :01:20. | :01:22.
but these jets of water erupting from under the icy surface might | :01:23. | :01:27.
make it easier to explore the water under their and find out about it. | :01:28. | :01:32.
How will they explore this water? Will they be able to get to it and | :01:33. | :01:36.
take a sample? These images we have seen today and yesterday were taken | :01:37. | :01:40.
with the Hubble space telescope, but it is working at the extremes of its | :01:41. | :01:46.
capability. What these jets mean is that instead of having to land on | :01:47. | :01:48.
the surface and drill through the ice, which could be miles thick, it | :01:49. | :01:54.
might be possible in future to fly a spacecraft or something through the | :01:55. | :01:57.
jets of water, and it can examine the water that way, which would be | :01:58. | :02:02.
easier. Another exciting discovery. Do you think there are aliens in | :02:03. | :02:06.
space? I think there might be somewhere. But I don't know where. | :02:07. | :02:10.
Thank you so much for coming into the studio this morning. Good to see | :02:11. | :02:11.
you again. Thank you. And if you love your space, | :02:12. | :02:13.
go to Newsround online, on how well you know | :02:14. | :02:16.
the Solar System in our quiz! Next, millions of Americans | :02:17. | :02:19.
were up late last night to watch these two people go head | :02:20. | :02:22.
to head in a TV debate. Both Donald Trump | :02:23. | :02:25.
and Hillary Clinton want to become the President of | :02:26. | :02:27.
the United States of America - one of the biggest | :02:28. | :02:29.
jobs in the world. The two candiates spoke about how | :02:30. | :02:31.
they could make the country better, but they also argued | :02:32. | :02:34.
quite a lot too. Donald, I know that you live | :02:35. | :02:39.
in your own reality, I said, "There's a person with | :02:40. | :02:41.
a temperament that got a problem." Well, Americans will vote | :02:42. | :02:51.
for their next president on the 8th of November, | :02:52. | :02:58.
and you can go to Newsround online for more on Hillary Clinton | :02:59. | :03:01.
and Donald Trump. Well, someone who TRUMPed her rivals | :03:02. | :03:06.
at the Rio Paralympics is 15-year-old Ellie Robinson, | :03:07. | :03:10.
who stormed to gold in the pool. It was her first day back | :03:11. | :03:15.
at school yesterday, To the world, she's a Paralympic | :03:16. | :03:17.
champion but, to her friends, she's just Ellie, | :03:18. | :03:23.
the same 15-year-old schoolmate, I've been waiting | :03:24. | :03:27.
to see these guys for ages, and it's so nice being | :03:28. | :03:33.
back, talking to them. We're not even talking | :03:34. | :03:35.
about Rio, to be honest! It's Ellie's first day | :03:36. | :03:37.
back at school, and the reaction | :03:38. | :03:40.
was just a little bit noisy. to the new Paralympic | :03:41. | :03:42.
star of the pool, when they watched back | :03:43. | :03:47.
her record-breaking race. suggests she still can't quite | :03:48. | :03:51.
believe it all happened. It was really strange, because | :03:52. | :03:55.
I remember I kept turning around and checking the scoreboard, | :03:56. | :03:57.
just in case I'd read it wrong, because I didn't want | :03:58. | :04:00.
to be like, "Yeah!" And then like, | :04:01. | :04:02.
"Oh, no, I got silver." Well, it doesn't mean any more | :04:03. | :04:04.
than just having one of my best friends | :04:05. | :04:07.
back at school, someone to talk to. We're all really proud of Ellie | :04:08. | :04:10.
and what she's done. It's quite nice seeing | :04:11. | :04:12.
everyone come back together, It's like kind of united us, | :04:13. | :04:17.
and it's really nice. So special assembly over, | :04:18. | :04:21.
time for an extra special cake. but today was about celebrations, | :04:22. | :04:29.
not exams, and her mates all seem | :04:30. | :04:34.
to have perfected the Ellie pose. Tottenham and Leicester | :04:35. | :04:41.
continue their quest to become champions | :04:42. | :04:43.
of Europe tonight, as the second round of | :04:44. | :04:47.
group matches kick off. Tottenham are in Russia | :04:48. | :04:50.
to play CSKA, but are without several first team | :04:51. | :04:52.
players including Eric Dier Meanwhile Leicester, who won | :04:53. | :04:55.
their first game in Bruges 3-0, play their first ever home match | :04:56. | :05:01.
in the competition against Porto. The Premier League champions have | :05:02. | :05:06.
suffered heavy defeats to Liverpool and Manchester United | :05:07. | :05:09.
in the past few weeks, but manager Claudio Ranieri says that won't stop | :05:10. | :05:12.
them going for victory tonight. We respect them a lot, | :05:13. | :05:17.
but we will try to win. Also Porto will try to win | :05:18. | :05:22.
with their different style, And just before we go we've got | :05:23. | :05:27.
some news for all you Top Gear fans. Matt Le Blanc has signed | :05:28. | :05:37.
a new two-year deal to host the next series | :05:38. | :05:39.
after the departure of Chris Evans. Newsround's back | :05:40. | :05:48.
this afternoon at 4:20pm. | :05:49. | :05:52. |
