Good morning, all.

Flooding in the US city of Houston in America

is expected to get worse today, after more rain was

predicted for the area.

Thousands of people have been rescued from their homes

after Tropical Storm Harvey battered the city, and many more

are still waiting for help.

Later today, President Trump will visit Houston to see the damage.

Newsround has spoken to Emilio, who lives there.

He sent us this.

My school is out for a week and a half because of weather like this.

We're going to be having to take in some of our friends that

are getting some bad flooding.

I know friends that the water's up to their driveway,

and one of our friends is about to get flooding

in their house pretty soon, so it's kind of a scary experience,

but hoping we can get through this.

Showbiz now, and Strictly fans, this one's for you.

All the celebs have been revealed, and it's time for them

to take to the dance floor for the first time.

Ayshah went to see them strut their stuff.

That's right.

It's that time of year when the glitterball is dusted off.

And...

We're here on the Strictly red carpet.

And it's safe to say that this year's group of Strictly stars can't

wait to get started.

It's going to be huge, because people who've

watched me on Top Class or The Dog Ate My Homework

are used to seeing me in a very different way.

You've never seen me look like this.

Oh, man.

It still doesn't feel real.

But I can tell you it's happening.

It is happening, right?

Yeah!

We are actually going to do the show.

This year.

You are going to be dancing.

In front of loads of people.

In these shoes.

Yes.

Which are already telling me.

The sequins, the glamour.

It started already, and we have been getting ready since about ten

o'clock this morning.

We are all in our sparkly outfit, even the boys.

I like the sequins.

Thank you very much.

So do I.

I have sequin envy because Jonnie Peacock has got multicoloured

sequins and mine are only blue.

This is not something that I would never normally do.

But I think that's really good for me to challenge myself.

Just look at them go!

But despite the excitement, everyone seems to be a little

bit nervous about...

Dancing.

Obviously, I'm a runner.

I'm not a dancer.

Do you know what I'm really nervouc about is doing a dance

and forgetting the moves.

I have no background in dancing.

I can't even dance the YMCA.

I'm quite nervous about the possibility of forgetting

everyone I've learned.

Everyone knows YMCA!

I know, but I'm not...

Oh, yeah.

And falling.

I don't want to just go flat on my face.

I want to be able to look graceful.

Running upstairs in heels, and the fact that the camera is on you...

I've been told to simply do this.

And smile!

So if you see me doing that, some things gone wrong.

That's it for the red carpet, but it won't be long till we find

out who the celebs' partners are, and then those Twinkletoes

will really get going.

This month marks ten years since hashtags have been

used on social networks.

But have you ever wondered were they came from and why we use them?

Here's Whitney to explain.

Hashtags are all around us.

They're used not just online but in everyday life.

But this wasn't always the case.

Did you know the hashtag symbol first popped up in the '70s

and was used by computer experts as a way to make notes in coding.

And by the '90s, the symbol was used by the Internet relay chat.

That's an old messaging apps that use that text

to sort items into groups.

2007 was the birth of the hashtag as we know it.

That was the very first time hashtags were used on Twitter

to organise to eat into subjects.

And this became the normal way that people tweeted.

And it didn't stop there.

Other social networks like Instagram, Facebook and even

Pinterest started to use hashtags.

The word hashtag is now even in the Oxford English Dictionary.

Hashtags are used in everything from elections...

to topics that interest people...

and even massive TV shows use it to get people talking.

Now people from all over the world connect using

hashtags wherever they are.
