Hi, I'm Ricky.

It's Sunday and here's what's coming up on the show.

We bring you the result of Man vs Shark.

And the ultimate teacher sweetener.

But first, today and tomorrow events will be taking place in the town

of Ypres in Belgium to mark 100 years since the Battle

of Passchendaele which took place during World War One.

An estimated 245,000 British and Allied soldiers were wounded

or killed on the battlefield and trenches surrounding the town

of Ypres and tonight, a ceremony attended by the Duke and Duchess

of Cambridge will remember those who lost their lives in the fighting.

Next, Olympic superhero Michael Phelps is one

of the fastest swimmers on Earth, but he took up a pretty weird

challenge by racing a shark.

Sounds weird!

Look at this.

Shark versus Phelps.

It's possibly the biggest swimming showdown, well, ever, and I

have to say right at the start it wasn't a real shark, but a simulated

one that he raced against which some people found disappointing.

Anyway, let's get to the challenge, set in the waters of

Cape Town in South Africa.

If you are Team Phelps, here is what he's got going for him.

He's the world-record holder for 100 metres and 200 metres butterfly

and for this challenge, he was specially

equipped with a wet suit and a monofin

to help mimic the shark's movement through the water.

Team Shark, well, the species averages a

speed of 25 mph and its sheer size gives it the edge as well.

Right, let's get on with it.

Ready, set...

Go.

Oh, it looks really close and Phelps is edging it.

I can't even watch.

And it was shark who won.

Of course it was.

Phelps came in at 38.2 seconds and he got beaten

by just two seconds.

Team Shark, go celebrate.

Team Phelps, better luck next time.

Finally, how's this for a sweet present for a teacher?

It reads: 'To Mr Hathway.

Thank you for turning me into a real SMARTIES this year.

You have given my learning a real BOOST.

It's the summer holidays now so TWIRL with excitement

Mr Hathway, a teacher in Bristol, said he was delighted

with the present and was planning to share it with his family.
