Today's demonstration is all about flames,

like the flame you can see here.

But flames and fire can be very dangerous,

so I'm going to be extra careful today.

Now, have a look at this flame. What colour is it?

-Blue.

-That's right, it's a blue colour.

Blue isn't very unusual for flames, but I've got some chemicals here

and we're going to burn these, and we might see some unusual colours.

First of all, I wonder what colour this will be.

Wow! What colour d'you think that is?

Green.

That's right, it's green, isn't it? Let's see the other colours.

Oh, wow! What a beautiful colour of purple.

That's lovely, isn't it?

I wonder what the last one might be.

That's amazing! Look at that! How bright is that? Lovely.

What a gorgeous orange colour.

It's a beautiful rainbow made from lovely colours,

and it didn't matter that there were colours missing.

It was easy to mix colours together to make new ones.

That was so much fun!

The paint felt so cold and squidgy.

I loved the feeling when it went up and over Nina's feet.

When we collected all the green things and all the red things,

we saw loads of different shades of each colour.
