These are the three most extreme, most intense

and most peculiar record breakers on the planet.

They're going head-to-head in Officially Competitive!

With national pride at stake,

they take on records which you can try at home.

In the red, white and blue corner

is diminutive but devastatingly deadly US Ray.

He's the brilliant back-flipping, bouncing all-American hero.

In the other red, white and blue corner, and representing the UK,

is the man they call Sizzling Steve.

He's an emotional fireball of energy

when there's a whiff of a record in the air.

And in the red and white corner, he's never blue,

it's Japan's Mr Cherry.

This introverted, demure and somewhat underdressed fellow

is a record-breaking behemoth and our Haruka is his number one fan.

Our tireless trio have been fighting it out

over a series of different events.

It's been wet and, boy, has it been windy.

With five different events completed,

it couldn't be much closer.

Sizzling Steve and Cherry lead the way with two victories each

with US Ray just behind with one win.

Today's Officially Competitive challenge

is the most golf balls picked up with the feet in one minute.

The balls need to be moved with the foot

and placed into a bucket five metres away.

They can only move one golf ball at a time.

The same foot must be used throughout the attempt

and if a ball is dropped a new one must be picked up.

The current world record is ten golf balls in one minute.

Time to talk toe tactics with US Ray.

You've got to wish that when you saw this record that you had extra toes.

Maybe not extra toes but longer toes.

-Longer toes?

-Yeah, I'm looking for those little T-Rex toes with claws

and grab in and pick it out.

-Ray, be honest, how are you feeling about this record?

-It's in the bag.

-That confidence. I love it! Let's break that record.

He looks like he's having buckets of fun

but he needs to pick up the pace.

He's got back into a rhythm and he's teeing these golf balls up nicely.

-Sizzling Steve's gone barefoot. Urgh!

Go on, Steve. That's it.

And Mr Cherry is thinking outside the bucket

and has gone for the one shoe on, one shoe off approach.

Mr Cherry has built up a steady momentum.

He is like a one-legged Japanese crane in sparkly underpants.

It's looking close. This competition is going down to the wire.

between the UK and USA.

That means the winner is Japan

but has Mr Cherry managed to get himself another world record?

That is officially amazing

and puts Mr Cherry back into the overall lead with three victories

and three world records to Sizzling Steve's two wins and US Ray's one.

But there's a long way to go in this contest

and anything can and will happen on Officially Competitive!

This is Frankfurt in Germany, a city famous for sausages,

sauerkraut and skateboarding.

Yep, you heard.

Today it's all about this guy and his skateboard.

Super cool Steffen Koster is a legend in skateboarding circles

and today he's after a Guinness world record

for the highest hippy jump.

What's a hippy jump, I hear you ask.

Well, this is a hippy and he is on a skateboard,

that's how we wheeled him in, but he has nothing to do with the record

so you better get rid.

This is a hippy jump.

It's actually a skateboarding move where the rider jumps off his board,

over an object, and then lands back on his board.

Clever, huh?

Steffen, what are the difficulties in performing this trick?

TRANSLATION: Oh, mate, I have to jump one metre forty or fifty

off my skateboard and land back on it.

The board is really small, like,

so you have to concentrate on your landing.

It all sounds very easy to me.

I reckon I could do this so stand back.

Let's have a go, shall we?

Steffen has to hippy jump over that bar

which official adjudicator Anna is carefully measuring the height of.

He'll then need to land back on the board and continue skating.

Before Steffen goes for the record,

he's warming up his hippy hippies with some unusual stretching.

His practice height is 126cm.

6cm lower than the current record.

That's still really high. Impossibly high, even.

If he can't clear his practice jump, it's all over.

He's ready. He's off. Steffen's on the approach.

He needs the right speed, a massive amount of spring to clear the bar

and pinpoint accuracy in the landing.

This is just a warm up, remember. Look at him fly!

Cleared the bar, now can he land it?

Yes, he can!

He made that look so easy.

He's so laid back and he's so cool.

Bu the bar needs to be 6cm higher for the record.

Will he be as cool now the real heat's on?

Steffen, I think it's almost time to break a record.

-Ready?

-Yes.

-Excellent.

The bar is now set at 137cm.

That's 5cm above the current world record.

But he doesn't look worried.

Surely he can't clear it going at that speed.

Ha-ha-ha!

We have a new record on out hands. Steffen made that jump look so easy.

I don't know how because that's ridiculous.

Steffen, give me your hand. How did that feel? That looked easy.

-Yes, it was easy.

-He's not even broken a sweat!

But he will now. He's beaten the record, now he wants to smash it.

Adjudicator Anna set the bar at an incredible 150.3cm.

Nearly 20cm higher!

This guy is so unbelievably cool.

Now it's almost as high as Anna.

Same casual run-up, speed's not as important as height for this.

Can he clear 150?

Oh! Cleared it, didn't land it.

His board's such a small target to hit from, such an epic height.

And it's moving.

I think you've got this in you. Do you want to try again?

Of course he's going again. Steffen's still smiling

and still breathing.

Slightly longer run-up this time.

He can do the height but he needs to nail the landing.

Looking good on the run-in - focused, composed.

No! Straight through the bar. Nowhere near.

Can this even be done? I'm not sure it can.

Well, this is what happens when you set the bar high

and Steffen's set it very high indeed.

He's up for one more. Come on, Steffen.

Let's smash this record.

Remember, he's already beaten the record

but he wants to obliterate it!

This morning, the record was 132cm.

He beat it with 137cm.

Now he's going for a ridiculously high 150.3cm.

Impossible, surely.

He's cleared it. Can he land it?

Yeah, that was it. That was perfect.

Landed it brilliantly. Seems to have cleared the bar with absolute ease.

Let's take a look at his effortless grace again.

He's jumping the height of Kylie Minogue, for goodness' sake!

Steffen, you set the bar, you raised the bar,

you did everything to that bar and you jumped over it.
