The family has come to visit Grandpa and Grandma Val

on their sailing boat.

Grandpa steers the boat with the rudder.

Grandpa, when we are travelling in the sea, the sea looks like ice.

Alexa wants to help sail the boat.

Grandpa, what is this we are using for?

We put the rope around that,

and when you want to pull the rope very tight,

you wind it using the handle.

Alexa The Sailor is ready for action.

-Grandpa, can you put the sails up?

-Yes.

What I'm going to do is I'm going to pull on this rope.

And you are going to turn this, all right?

Raise the sails, please, Captain Alexa.

The sail is going up.

When the sails catch the wind, the boat will go faster.

We're steering the boat fast!

That means that's the bit where we can go sailing.

Back on dry land at Grandma Val and Grandpa's house,

is cooking some barbecued food.

Dad gets the sausages because the barbecue is still hot.
