DOOR OPENS Och, good morning, Pat.

0:01:330:01:37

-Morning, Mrs Goggins.

-Oh, look, Pat. This parcel's addressed to you.

0:01:370:01:42

-Oh, good! It's arrived.

-What is it?

0:01:420:01:45

It's a brand-new video camera I've been waiting for.

0:01:450:01:49

MRS GOGGINS GIGGLES

0:01:490:01:51

Wow! I wonder how it works.

0:01:510:01:55

These instructions might help.

0:01:550:01:58

Pardon? Oh, yes!

0:01:580:02:00

Come on, Mrs Goggins, smile for the camera.

0:02:030:02:06

Och!

0:02:060:02:07

Oh, no, Pat! You don't want to film silly old me.

0:02:070:02:12

I know!

0:02:120:02:14

Why don't you make a video diary of Greendale?

0:02:140:02:19

What a good idea! Maybe I could show the film at the school hall.

0:02:190:02:23

Och, yes. I'm sure people would love to come.

0:02:230:02:27

Great. I can film it on my rounds.

0:02:270:02:30

Miaow!

0:02:320:02:34

Miaow!

0:02:340:02:36

Miaow!

0:02:360:02:38

Well, I've got a busy day ahead of me, so I'd best be getting on.

0:02:390:02:44

-Come on, Jess. ..Cheerio, Mrs Goggins.

-Cheerio, Pat.

0:02:440:02:48

-Wait!

-Oh?

-Haven't you forgotten something?

0:02:480:02:52

Of course.

0:02:520:02:54

Thanks, Mrs Goggins. Cheerio.

0:02:540:02:56

Now, then...how do I switch this thing off?

0:03:000:03:04

-Good morning, Pat.

-Oh, morning, Dr Gilbertson.

0:03:040:03:09

Miaow?

0:03:090:03:11

DR GILBERTSON CHUCKLES

0:03:110:03:13

-Good morning, Mrs Goggins.

-Och!

0:03:150:03:18

Oh...I...didn't see you there.

0:03:180:03:20

I've just seen Pat with a video camera.

0:03:200:03:25

-What's he doing?

-He's making a video diary of Greendale

0:03:250:03:29

to show at the school hall.

0:03:290:03:32

You know, when I was a lassie,

0:03:320:03:34

I always fancied being in the movies.

0:03:340:03:37

-Really?

-Uh-huh. In one of those musicals.

0:03:370:03:42

Oh!

0:03:420:03:43

Aye. I was quite a dancer in those days, you know.

0:03:430:03:47

Do YOU like dancing, Dr Gilbertson?

0:03:470:03:50

Oh, no, not me. I haven't got time for all that dancing around.

0:03:500:03:54

And who would I dance with?

0:03:540:03:56

Aye.

0:03:560:03:58

I wonder if the Reverend Timms would like to be in my video.

0:04:050:04:09

Do you think this light means the camera is on or off, Jess?

0:04:090:04:14

Miaow...

0:04:140:04:16

Oh, dear! Never mind. I'll sort it out later.

0:04:160:04:20

REVEREND TIMMS PLAYS GENTLE TUNE

0:04:200:04:23

Oh, a spot of music!

0:04:250:04:27

That's just what my video needs.

0:04:270:04:31

Hello, Reverend.

0:04:310:04:33

Would you mind if I recorded you for my video diary of Greendale?

0:04:330:04:37

Not at all, Pat. I'd be honoured.

0:04:370:04:39

Miaow!

0:04:390:04:41

And...

0:04:410:04:42

camera rolling...

0:04:420:04:44

Reverend Timms, take one.

0:04:440:04:47

Eyes and teeth, Reverend. Eyes and teeth!

0:04:520:04:55

Pardon?

0:04:550:04:57

Oh...um... Smile, please, Reverend.

0:04:570:05:00

Oh, I see.

0:05:000:05:02

Miaow.

0:05:030:05:06

-Aren't you delivering the post today, Pat?

-Oh, of course, the post!

0:05:060:05:10

Sorry, Reverend.

0:05:100:05:12

I was so carried away with my video I forgot all about it.

0:05:120:05:17

Oh, ho-ho-ho-ho!

0:05:170:05:19

Ah!

0:05:200:05:22

PAT WHISTLES "All Things Bright And Beautiful"

0:05:320:05:35

0:05:360:05:39

-Here you are, Reverend.

-Miaow!

0:05:420:05:44

-Thank you, Pat.

-Um...are you all right?

0:05:460:05:50

Yes, I'm fine.

0:05:500:05:52

-It's hard work playing the piano.

-Well, you'd better have a rest

0:05:520:05:57

if you're going to make it to my video show down at the school hall.

0:05:570:06:01

-Oh, yes. Thank you, Pat.

-Cheerio, Reverend.

-Goodbye, Pat.

0:06:010:06:06

Miaow!

0:06:060:06:08

# Oh-boo-boo-boo-boom! #

0:06:390:06:42

Oh, no!

0:06:430:06:45

I've posted the instruction manual, too.

0:06:450:06:49

I can't finish my video diary without that.

0:06:490:06:52

Hello! Dr Gilbertson?

0:06:530:06:56

Is there anyone in?

0:06:560:06:59

FOOTSTEPS APPROACH

0:06:590:07:02

Oh! Oh, hello, Pat.

0:07:040:07:07

Sorry to bother you, Dr Gilbertson,

0:07:070:07:09

-but I posted the instruction manual for my video camera by mistake.

-Oh!

0:07:090:07:14

-Uh...there you go, Pat.

-Thank you.

0:07:140:07:17

Would you like to be in my video, Dr Gilbertson?

0:07:170:07:20

Uh...no. Sorry, Pat, I... I'm very busy today.

0:07:200:07:24

I was...um... I was just... giving the surgery a quick clean.

0:07:240:07:28

Oh, never mind. I'm sorry I disturbed you. Cheerio.

0:07:280:07:32

Goodbye, Pat.

0:07:320:07:34

Hello, there, Pat.

0:07:430:07:45

Is that a video camera?

0:07:450:07:48

Yes, I'm recording a video diary of Greendale.

0:07:480:07:51

-Would you like to be in it?

-<

-Oh, yes!

0:07:510:07:54

And we've got the Greendale Rocket all nice and clean.

0:07:540:07:58

-You'll want her on your video, won't you?

-Yes!

0:07:580:08:01

-How does that thing work?

-That's what I've been trying to find out.

0:08:010:08:06

There! That should do it.

0:08:060:08:09

Um...is it recording?

0:08:100:08:13

-Yes.

-Make sure you get the Rocket's best side, Pat.

0:08:130:08:17

Here, can I have a go?

0:08:170:08:20

Um...yes.

0:08:200:08:22

-Eh-hup.

-Watch out, Ted.

0:08:230:08:25

Oops!

0:08:250:08:26

Sorry, Pat. I'll help you pick 'em up.

0:08:260:08:30

Oh, dear.

0:08:300:08:31

Quick, Jess! Catch that letter.

0:08:350:08:37

Miaow! Miaow! Miaow!

0:08:370:08:40

< CRASH AND SPLASH

0:08:430:08:45

What on earth has happened to you two?

0:08:470:08:50

-Nothing.

-Nowt.

0:08:500:08:52

Uh...were you filming just then?

0:08:520:08:55

No. But I can film you some more, if you like.

0:08:550:08:59

-Uh...no, thanks, Pat.

-We're a bit mucky.

0:08:590:09:03

-Oh, well, OK, then. Cheerio.

-Cheerio.

-Bye, Pat.

0:09:030:09:07

Oh, dear, Jess.

0:09:080:09:10

Nobody wants me to film them.

0:09:100:09:13

My video diary of Greendale isn't going to be very long.

0:09:130:09:17

Miaow!

0:09:170:09:19

-Hello, Sarah.

-Hello, love.

0:09:190:09:22

-Hello, Nisha.

-Morning, Pat.

-Cup of tea, please.

0:09:220:09:25

-And one of those lovely cream cakes.

-Coming right up.

0:09:250:09:30

-I see the camera arrived.

-Yes.

0:09:300:09:33

-What's wrong?

-I'm trying to record a video diary of Greendale

0:09:330:09:37

but hardly anyone wants to be in it. People are acting strangely.

0:09:370:09:42

-Really?

-There you go, Pat.

-Thank you.

0:09:420:09:46

Slu-rp!

0:09:460:09:47

-You can film us.

-Yes, you can record us icing these cakes.

0:09:470:09:52

-What a good idea!

-Purr!

0:09:520:09:55

OK, and...

0:09:550:09:57

action!

0:09:570:09:59

Um...what does that mean?

0:09:590:10:01

That means you can start icing now.

0:10:010:10:04

Oh. Oh...I see...

0:10:040:10:07

Miaow!

0:10:080:10:09

-Why don't you tell me how you do it?

-Oh... Uh...

0:10:090:10:14

When you ice a cake...

0:10:140:10:16

..you need to be very careful.

0:10:170:10:20

And...make sure you take your time.

0:10:220:10:25

-(What should I say now?

-I don't know.)

0:10:250:10:29

Miaow!

0:10:290:10:31

-CRASH!

-Jess! That was MY cake.

0:10:310:10:35

-Miaow!

-I'll clean that up.

0:10:350:10:38

Miaow!

0:10:390:10:41

Oh! Oh, dear.

0:10:410:10:43

-Oh, no!

-Oh!

0:10:430:10:45

-What's happened here?

-Uh...nothing.

-Where did the cakes go?

0:10:470:10:51

-The fridge.

-The cupboard.

-The cupboard.

-The fridge.

0:10:510:10:54

-What a strange day this is, eh, Jess?

-Miaow!

0:10:540:10:58

-Bye, love.

0:11:020:11:04

So...who's in the film, then?

0:11:150:11:18

Well...I was the first person Pat filmed.

0:11:180:11:23

And I provided the music, of course.

Computer animation. Pat takes delivery of his new video camera and decides to make a Greendale video diary. He hasn't learnt how to work the camera properly and ends up filming all day long. When he shows the film that evening to the village, Pat discovers he's filmed people without realising. Soon all the villagers are roaring with laughter at the sight of each other's odd behaviour.
