OK, Mia, you wanted a scary prank,

well, this one is absolutely freaky. It's called Haunted House.

What happens is we're going to pretend you, Chelsea and Eugenie

have been invited along to a guided tour

of a very haunted house that you somehow won.

It'll be pretty scary. Can you guess what happens next?

Is there going to be lots of creaks and bangs and ghosts?

You're on the money - creaks, bangs, and ghosts will be appearing,

plus, topping it all off,

a suit of armour will come to life towards your friends.

That's all I'll say about this prank.

our prankster has in mind,

we're enlisting one of the busiest in the business -

award-winning special effects guru Jason Baird.

-Scotty, it's been a long time.

Jason is our Prank Patrol special make-up effects wiz'.

Well, I'm pranking my friends Chelsea and Eugenie with a haunted house

and we need ghost effects and ghost masks

and lots of creaks and creepy things like that.

I totally know what to do for you. We'll get you sorted out.

-Where's my jacket?

-You know the rules - jackets only for pranksters.

-OK.

-Let's see what you've got.

-Let's go.

So, what's this all about?

We're going to set up a really simple effect to give you the ghost.

We set up a sheet of glass

on a 45 degree angle that the camera will shoot through.

We've got a light set up underneath that

with our creepy figure off-camera.

Once the girls come through, pop the light source

and the image will be reflected in the glass

-and they'll get a good fright.

-Wow.

Do you want to go out there and test it out and I'll be the ghost?

-Let's do that.

-Cool.

How do you think that'll work for you?

Scotty was scary enough, so it should work pretty well.

I think it'll work.

I think Chelsea and Eugenie will be very frightened.

I think they'll buy it, because they're pretty gullible!

Jason, we've got the ghost trick sorted,

but what will we use for the ghost?

What would you like to see, Mia?

I want to see an old witch,

with warts and a big nose and really wrinkly skin.

-I think we can sort that out.

-Are you ready for that, Louise?

-I'm ready.

-Let's get into it. What do we have to do?

The first thing when you do make-up like this

is taking a cast of your actor.

I'm going to put a bald cap on Louise's head

to keep the mess out of her hair

and then apply alginate and plaster bandage to her face.

That takes an impression

and we can sculpt our creepy face on top of that.

Righto, let's get messy, guys!

The face is all set now.

We're going to lean Mum forward and pop her out.

Oh, thank God for that!

What's the next step?

From here I'll make the plaster cast of her face

and start sculpting all the creepy features onto it.

To complete the scary process, we're taking the mould of Mum's face

and here's the foam skin

-with all those nasty, creepy details you want on the face.

-Wow!

We'll paint that up and then...

we'll apply this nasty wig.

-That's freaky.

-What will Chelsea and Eugenie do?

Scream probably.

-Will they think it's your mum?

-I don't think so.

-Is this what you're after?

-Definitely.

The next time we see this it'll be horrifying.

Built in 1846, over 150 years ago.

This is a very old house.

I'd like to share with you the first story of the house.

In 1853, the then-owner of the building, Captain Wickham,

had a governess, who looked after the children.

One day, the governess claimed that she was having these nightmares,

nightmares that the whole house was engulfed in a terrible storm.

She had these nightmares for one week and finally, on the last night,

on that night...

there was indeed a terrible storm.

It covered the entirety of Brisbane.

And the next morning, supposedly...

..they found the governess...

..there.

No-one knows how or where she died,

but when they found her, it was just there.

And did the storm actually happen?

If anything gets moved in the day before,

when we come in the next day, it's completely as it was before.

-We've done that, we've moved things around.

Don't take your eyes off anything.

I'm going to ask you to close your eyes,

just close your eyes, I'll close them with you.

Ah, how relaxing!
