Well, I've done some tricks before, but they were small.

This time I want to do some big ones.

So you need Prank Patrol's help. How big are we talking?

Well, as it is magic, how about some books flying off shelves?

Yeah, cool.

We can make this fly across the room and smash against a wall.

-What do you reckon, Jaz?

-Yeah.

'Want to leave your target in suspense?

'Here's one that will wet their appetite for magic.

'You need is two plastic glasses full of water.

'Ask your friend to sit down and put their hands flat on the table.

'Balance a glass on one of their hands. Ask them if it feels heavy.

'If they say no, place the other glass on their other hand and leave.

'This trick is guaranteed to cause quite a splash!'

How are you?

Before I start I'm going to warm up with one of these special puzzles.

I'm good at these. I can sort them out quickly.

Let's do it with a bit of magic to complete the puzzle.

I'll do some other stuff. I like to tidy up.

I can't stand it when newspaper is lying about.

It comes in handy being a magician. Watch as I collect the pieces.

All I need to do is squeeze the pieces together,

and then blow.

Now I can read the newspaper.

-How's that for magic?

-Good.

-How about some card tricks?

-I have some good tricks for you.

What have you got in mind?

Wouldn't it be great if you had psychic powers or X-ray vision?

All I'm going to ask you to do, Jaz, is cut the cards anywhere you like.

Brilliant.

Without looking at that card, sit on it.

I have X-ray vision, so I should be able to tell you what your card is.

Open your mouth. Look up. Let me have a look in there.

I think I can see a black card.

Yeah! You're sitting on the ace of clubs.

Do you have the ace of clubs?

It's the ace of clubs. There you go. Let me explain how this works.

The ace of clubs is on the top of the deck.

It doesn't matter where the cards are cut,

the ace of clubs will always be on the top.

This is a distraction.

Say, "You can cut the card where you like."

She looks away from the deck,

so she's forgotten that's the top card of the deck.

Lift the top, and offer her that card.

That's the ace of clubs you remembered earlier.

Cut the cards.

-Pick the top card and sit on it.

-OK.

I'm going to see where it is.

Is it the ace of clubs?

It's the ace of clubs. What a cool trick!

That was really good.

It will be a good trick to do for Chloe.

-Stephen, what else have you got?

-This is brilliant.

The fibre in paper is very strong.

When you tear it, the fibres stick out.

So you can tear it in loads, and in different places.

If you squeeze the fibres together,

and you really squeeze them,

what should happen is they should, literally, all gel back together.

-How cool is that?

-That would freak Chloe out.

First, I have to get rid of the pieces that are in my hand!

I'll do it from the top, so you know.

You will need one complete napkin,

and an exact duplicate.

You fold one of them up into a ball. That goes in your hand.

Don't worry about trying to hide it.

No one knows you have it in your hand.

Start tearing this one, any way you like.

Then roll it into a nice, tight ball.

You're swapping it for the other one that is in your hand.

When you open it up like this...

-What great tricks.

-Thanks.

Happy with the magic? Now the special effects.

Whoa! Look at this! That looks awesome, doesn't it?

Someone's been busy.

Your flying books. Lee, are you there?

What happened?

The books flew off the shelf. As if you didn't know!

-What do you reckon, Jaz?

-Wow!

-Can you show us how that works?

-I'll show you.

We built a bookcase. We cut some holes in the back of it.

We got some wood, lined it all up and filled the bookcase with books.

When you give it a slam, the books fall off the other side.

Very good. As if by magic.

I like it. That's the bookcase. Crystal ball.

Let's have a look at that.

The crystal ball. What do you think?

I want to see it work first.

We've got two pieces of fishing wire,

tied to there and up to that picture frame.

We have a loose one tied to the crystal ball.

There's a weight on the other end of it.

We let the weight go, then the crystal ball will shoot up that line,

and hit the centre of the frame.

What will Chloe do when she sees this?

-I don't know.

-She'll be shocked.

-Shall we have a go? Safety goggles on.

-Yes, remembered.

-OK. Ready, guys?

-Yeah.

-Yes, ready.

Three, two, one.

How cool was that? That is awesome.

What's that? That's not a crystal ball, it's a water balloon. Ninjas!

This prank is challenging. It relies on timing.

If things aren't timed well, it could go wrong.

Hopefully, if it all goes to plan, it will be a magical prank.
