Many moons ago, with the forging of six golden symbols,
magic returned to this land.
And with it came the evil sorcerer Nevar,
intent on taking this power for himself.
I stood against Nevar as the land's protector,
training the ultimate champions.
When the day came,
together we defeated Nevar in the ultimate battle.
But, knowing my power, Nevar had forged golden symbols of his own.
And the spell that was cast to banish him reflected back,
sending us both to a far-off, desolate realm.
With the battle fought, only one champion feared the return
of Nevar and his demons.
This warrior sought out the golden symbols lost in the battle
and, finding them, discovered my staff of power.
Its magic transformed her into the new protector of this land.
Now, it is her task to find the true warriors to defeat Nevar
and save us from his evil.
My name is Raven and I seek the true warriors.
16 of the bravest and most worthy have answered my call.
Which of them will conquer the challenges?
Who will reach the grand tournament and be named as a true warrior?
Nevar, his hunger for power is insatiable.
He will stop at nothing to rule this land.
So he uses his cursed magic to send his demons
from his own desolate realm
to take our land from us.
There across the waters come four brave challengers,
each hoping to prove they have the rare combination of skills
required to be named as a true warrior.
Strength, agility, cunning and persistence,
all will be needed in the quest to come.
But if the warriors are to face these challenges,
they must reach the warriors' banners.
Nevar's demons are already in pursuit.
Come on, now, warriors.
We can do this.
Do it! Come on.
Safety lies here on the shore.
Look how close they are!
The demons are drawing close, the warriors are in danger.
Back, servants of Nevar.
You shall not stop the warriors now.
Their quest will begin.
My magic has banished the demons for now,
but use of my powers will come at a cost.
These warriors will compete beneath the banner of the Wolf.
Strong, agile and quick,
these fierce animals also know how to work as a team.
These warriors will need all these traits to succeed.
Let's meet them.
I'm Dakof. I know this quest is going to be hard
but I am ready to face the challenge.
I'm Nantin. I'm energetic and courageous
and I will scale any height to win.
I'm Ciarc. I've been sharpening my skills ready for this quest.
Bring on Nevar and his demons.
I'm Syora. We only just got away from those demons.
We are going to have to do a lot better in the challenges.
Like wolves, these four warriors will form a pack.
But only one of them can progress to the grand tournament.
Welcome, brave warriors, you dug deep,
and though the demons caught you,
that evil has been banished for now.
Nevar has not been defeated.
He will send more of his vile servants to seek you.
For all his evil power, he fears the true warriors.
But you are not true warriors yet.
For while you have proven your courage by reaching this place,
you will only make it through to the grand tournament
with a hoard of treasure rings.
You would have started with six.
But as the demons caught you,
you must now lose a ring each
from your treasure hoard.
Take heart, conquer the challenges,
and you will add more rings to your hoard.
Hold on to each ring with care.
For when the time comes,
the warrior with the fewest rings must leave this quest.
And should you reach the Last Stand,
it will be the warrior with the most rings who shall have the greatest
advantage over their comrades.
The quest to become a true warrior begins now.
Are you ready to face it?
Then follow me and we shall see what fate has in store.
Trapped by Nevar's evil servants,
these warriors have been frozen in miniature form.
Only our warriors can free them from Nevar's curse.
Well, my young challengers,
before you is a trap sprung on two unwary warriors.
Captured by Nevar,
they have been frozen into the form of two small figures
and trapped within a maze.
Nevar's demons have caused us enough trouble
and it is time that we pay him back.
Free these warriors, and I will send them home to protect their land.
As a reward, a warrior freed will earn you each
one golden treasure ring.
But should your warrior remain trapped in the maze,
it will cost that team one treasure ring each.
Nantin, Ciarc, you will work together as one team.
Syora, Dakof, you the other.
Now, take your places, your comrades are in danger.
May the luck of the Raven's eye be with you.
This challenge demands concentration.
Working in pairs, they must guide the miniature warriors
through the maze to the edge, where they will be freed.
To do this, the warriors will need to listen
only to their team-mate's words.
You must give clear instructions to your comrades.
The warriors will not win this challenge with volume.
Being the loudest does not help their instructions.
Nantin and Ciarc have taken an early lead.
Your forward. Your forward.
Backwards. And there is another semicircle going all the way around.
-Is that a wall?
I need you to go forward.
And then go to your right. All the way down...
The guiding warriors must remember that, from below the maze,
right can mean left and back can mean forward.
Just keep on going round.
Stop there, stop there. A little bit more to your left...
-Your right, sorry.
-OK, stop moving.
-Go to your left.
-Your right, your right.
Dakof and Syora's warrior has finally escaped from the middle.
Go round the circle.
Left, around the circle.
-Behind you, there is another semicircle.
-Right, go... towards the final wall.
Go forwards, for you.
Forwards, for you. Keep on going.
OK, stop there. Stop there.
Go to your right.
All the way around the circle.
All the way around - fast, faster.
-Don't lose it, though.
-Syora is gaining on her opponents.
Take your time.
Keep going, keep going, and stop.
Right, go to your right.
-Keep on going, keep on going.
Warriors, communication is key.
You are going into the next circle, go the other way.
Now, go round the circle again.
Round the circle, round the circle, round the circle.
A little bit to the left.
The teams are almost level.
Backwards, backwards, backwards.
-Round the circle, round the circle.
-Go forward, a little bit,
a little bit more.
You are almost there, warriors.
All the way to the left.
Dakof and Syora have taken the lead.
Go straight. No, no!
Whoever reaches the edge first will win.
To the outside of the circle.
Keep on going, Syora!
Dakof and Syora are victorious.
Well done. Your warrior has escaped.
I was getting really frustrated at the start because they were
so far ahead and we hadn't moved for so long,
but once I took a breath and figured it out and we started talking more,
me and Syora really kicked it.
I knew that at any moment I could crash into a wall,
but once I kind of finished that bend and he started saying, right,
just come forwards, you are nearly at the end, that's when I thought,
right, I can do this.
So when we got to the last pathway,
we were really, really close together.
And I was just yelling at her, "Come on, come on, you can do it!"
And then, she finally got it right when the other team were catching up
and we just barely beat them.
It was quite frustrating because we had to kind of shout over
each other's voices to make sure that they heard us.
Underneath the maze was really claustrophobic.
We were squashed together, trying to make it to the end.
We kind of got lost just at the end and they'd figured out where to go,
and then that's when they beat us.
Dakof and Syora's determination sees
each of them rewarded
with a golden treasure ring.
Despite leading for much
of this challenge,
Nantin and Ciarc were defeated.
For that, they each pay the price
of one golden ring from their hoard.
The warriors must be wary.
Nevar is growing stronger.
And his demons are cursing everything in their path.
Warriors, Nevar has sent many of his demons to block our path,
but if we can escape them,
it should clear out the way for a good time to come.
The statue here before us is an ancient warrior transformed to stone
by his evil sorcery.
But Nevar's evil magic may now be his undoing.
Within this petrified warrior, a spirit still lives.
But it will take time for this warrior to gather their strength,
and these despicable creatures will seek to destroy the statue
before they are ready.
You must work together to build a wall to stop the demon
from wrecking the warrior.
Take your places, and may the luck of the Raven's Eye protect you.
The warriors must build a wall strong enough
to protect the statue from the demons.
Nantin and Syora will go first.
Shall we put another one next to them so that it's...?
-How do you mean?
-So we do three.
And then do them in a different style.
Vertical? No, that's going to tip...
Yeah, that might fall over.
-No, that's good.
-Then, put that one...
-Vertical as well.
Put this one just lying down.
Because then we are using less blocks as well.
Yeah, OK. This one.
The demons step closer.
Put that one next to that one there, and then I will do another one here.
Once they reach the stone wall,
they will have three strikes to try and destroy the statue.
And then this one can go here.
In fact, no, this one will be just normal.
These warriors are hoping to build their wall high,
but is height the key to protection?
Thing is, we have got a gap here,
where they will be able to go through.
I'll move this one.
The warriors are working well together...
Is that good now?
..but have they chosen the right solution?
The gap here, we can maybe slide...
The demons are closing.
Once they reach the challenge, they will commence destruction.
How does that look? Do you think it's strong enough?
-That's good. Hopefully.
Hopefully, we've got this in the bag.
Nantin and Syora have finished their wall.
Will it withstand the demons' attack?
Under Nevar's command, these demons prepare for destruction.
Their goal, to destroy the statue.
The first strike is not enough to break through the warriors' barrier.
The demons ready their next strike.
A block drops, but the statue remains intact.
One attack remains.
The statue stands true, and the warriors are victorious.
Their barrier was strong enough to withstand the demons' attack.
And as a reward, the treasure rings are theirs.
We did it in like a building-block style
so that it would stay strong on the bottom,
but then if it was weak at the top and it got knocked over,
then the warrior would be protected.
You are building on the right side, I will build on the left side.
Go, go, go.
The demons set out.
Can the warriors work together to protect their statue?
This team works quickly,
but it is the shape of the wall that will protect the statue.
Right, good job.
The demons step closer.
Build it a little bit higher.
Last block, where should I put it?
Actually, no, let's move that, because if it hits,
that will fall off and hit the soldier.
Where should we put it?
OK, good idea.
Check your wall, warriors. You must ensure your statue is safe.
What if it hits here?
Could it go through, do you think?
Or do you think it is really sturdy?
I just don't want this to topple over.
Communication is good, but action is needed.
A bold move, but will it pay off?
As the demons prepare to do their worst,
will this wall provide enough protection?
The first strike has weakened the wall.
The demons are ready for their second strike.
The wall is compromised, but the statue remains intact.
One more strike remains.
The demons' final attack is fierce, but the statue remains intact.
We sort of had the idea to build a V shape
and build it like a brick wall.
And then, when we had finished building it,
I thought the middle was quite vulnerable,
but I thought we would get away with it.
We survived the first two hits,
and on the last one our soldier's head was nearly knocked off.
That was really scary, but it didn't fall off, so it's good.
The walls were built and the statue
is saved from the wrath of Nevar's
demons. Each warrior adds one more
golden treasure ring to their hoard.
Dakof and Syora lead with seven,
while Nantin and Ciarc are not
far behind with five.
Let us be gone. Nevar and his demons will be searching for us.
Quickly, warriors, the demons are upon us.
We must move fast.
The demons have outwitted us in our path between challenges.
Two of our warriors have been captured and interned
into these deadly demon cages.
Warriors, you must work quickly if you are to free them
and save them from being banished to Nevar's realm.
In front of these cages is a demon box.
Two sets of cursed containers, one within the other.
Each hold the key the warriors will need to escape.
Solve the puzzles to open the locks and the warrior will go free,
taking the golden treasure that the demons guard here.
Fail to open the cage before the ceiling drops low enough
to touch the warrior, and Nevar's curse will fall upon you both,
robbing each of you a golden treasure ring.
Step forward, your comrades are in danger.
Syora is trapped.
The warriors must solve three clues to free her.
Right, OK. The first thing is...
-OK, I've gone down.
-Right, now, left.
-I've gone left.
Down again. Is that it?
-And that's it.
-Have you got it open?
-There we go.
-Right, have you got it?
Right, take it out and open it up.
Right, what is the order of colours?
OK, so it's blue.
Ciarc must not be distracted by the colour.
He must only focus on the words.
-Right, now, green.
-You got green?
-I got green.
Now, blue, and that's it.
The warriors have more than locks to worry about -
the demons are lowering the cage's roof.
If it touches the trapped warrior,
the warrior and gold rings will be lost.
Now, we are on the riddle.
Tell me when you are ready.
Right, OK, I am ready.
HE READS THE RIDDLE
-It's a fire. Right, I need to find a fire now.
Yeah, that is probably it.
Is there anything that relates to fire in there?
I see a dragon.
-Try it, come on.
Work quickly, you are running out of space.
Is that a flammable sign?
-I don't know.
-Watch your head, watch your head.
Should the cage's ceiling touch the warrior,
the warrior will be banished.
Does it fit?
Yes, it fits. Right, I just need to get this chain.
Yes. Open it all up.
Come on, you can do this!
The lock is open, but the chain must be removed.
Yes, get out, quickly.
I am out.
At first, I completely forgot that there was a big stone
about to be dropped on my head. I was really, really scared
and hoping just to get out of the cage and to get my ring.
I was really nervous because I didn't know how I would be able
to explain everything to her. The first one,
it was really hard because you had to look at first
the combination they gave you,
and then also then you had to look up at the key to see if
you were right, and then you had to go over.
Ciarc spoke really clearly so I could understand
what he was saying very well.
Now, Dakof must help free Nantin.
Right, so the first one is the arrow one.
First one is down.
-Second one is left.
Third one is right.
Fourth one is up.
Last one is right.
Right, pull the chain off.
The first puzzle is solved.
Right, pull the box out, then push the other box out.
Right, there you go.
So it's a colour one.
Dakof must focus and only read the word.
He must ignore the colour.
The colour combination proves no barrier to these warriors.
Right, they are lowering it, they are lowering it.
Watch your head, go down a bit, go down as much as you can.
HE READS THE RIDDLE
-So what do you think it could be?
-So what are all the keys?
OK, the keys are...
There is a mushroom.
A shield, a snowflake.
A worm. Blank.
-Oh, try the onion.
-Try the onion?
-Because when you are chopping onions, you cry.
-Yeah, try it.
There we go! The onion.
The lock is open, but the demons are lowering the stone.
Watch your head. Watch your head.
The warriors' teamwork earns them valuable treasure rings.
-We did it!
The first padlock, the arrows, was quite hard
because the code we were given was the wrong code
and you had to translate it with a key.
And sometimes I got a bit confused with that.
I felt under pressure in the cage because there was a big rock
coming down and I didn't want to do it wrong.
Watch your head, watch your head, watch your head.
If I did it wrong, I would have let the team down.
When I first saw the riddle,
I told Nantin to look at all the keys because I had no idea
what the answer was. And I thought that if I knew what the keys
actually had on them, I could select from that
what was most likely to be the answer,
and so there was an onion key, which was the right one.
It seems Nevar's traps hold no fear
for these warriors.
Both prisoners were freed
to continue their journey.
All the warriors gain another
treasure ring for their hoard.
They can take confidence from this victory.
There are few who can outwit Nevar so readily.
Warriors, since you crossed the Deep Loch and began your quest,
you have faced your challenges with courage and skill.
Now, you can take time to rest,
for we have reached the end of today's journey.
Tomorrow, the challenges will begin again.
And at the setting of the sun,
the warrior with the least rings
must leave this quest to return home.
Stay this night now under my protection.
I will keep you safe from Nevar until the sun rises.
Then, your quest to become a true warrior will begin...
Next time, the quest continues.
The warriors' courage, speed, agility and resourcefulness
will be put to the test.
And at the end of the day, one warrior must leave and return home.
Have courage, brave warrior.
With one warrior through to the Last Stand, four new young brave Warriors have answered Raven's call to join her from across the land. These warriors, Nantin, Dakof, Syora and Ciarc, have gathered together under the Banner of the Wolf as they look to demonstrate courage, strength, agility and resourcefulness as they take on challenges which will determine their fate.
The warriors try to outrace the demons on the loch before battling against each other in Magnetic Maze. They must protect their comrades against the demons in Warriors' Wall and face the ultimate battle against time when trying to escape the demons. Only one of them can be successful and reach the grand tournament to battle for the chance to be named as a True Warrior.
