The Demons are Everywhere Raven

Our land is in danger.

The evil sorcerer Nevar and his foul demons

have found a way to escape the desolate realm that imprisons them

and are seeking to conquer ours.

Only the one true protector of the land

can find the warriors to save us.

My name is Raven, and I seek the true warriors.

16 of the bravest and most worthy have answered my call.

Which of them will conquer the challenges?

Who will reach the Grand Tournament

and be named as a true warrior?

Our young warriors spent the night beneath the stars.

They must awaken to continue their quest

to become a true warrior.

After four challenges,

Dakof and Syora have eight golden treasure rings each.

Nantin and Ciarc are trailing with six.

Though all of you have proven worthy warriors in the challenges so far,

at the end of today,

the warrior with the lowest number of rings will leave this quest

and return home.

There are rings to be won in the challenges that lie ahead.

Do not forget that each one you win or lose

could determine your fate.

Follow me, for the first of today's challenges awaits us, warriors.

Let us be about it.

Water will take the path of least resistance,

but when it comes to Nevar, there is no such path.

A true warrior must not underestimate his power.

I have managed to calm the river which Nevar has cursed,

but my magic cannot keep the river calm for very long.

Warriors, above these ice-cold rapids

hang golden rewards,

but there are few who have courage,

speed and skills to take these.

To prove your worth,

you must venture across the rope which sways precariously

above the charging waters, taking the gold as you go.

But you must move with haste,

as this challenge sets you against your comrades

and only the fastest amongst you shall claim the prize.

Dakof, Nantin, you will be first to cross this frightful chasm.

Warriors, are you prepared to take on this task?

I'm a bit scared, and I hope I don't fall in the river.

I'm very excited to face this challenge and I hope

I can get lots of treasure rings.

Then on my mark, let the challenge begin!

This is a straight race across the rapids.

Only the winner will keep the treasure.

But this is not a single challenge.

Both winners and both losers will compete in a further crossing.

The winners could make their victory even sweeter, whilst losing warriors

have the opportunity to salvage a small victory

from the jaws of defeat.

Tactics, speed and skill must all come into play here.

Dakof is racing to victory,

but will he regret only collecting one ring?

Here come the next two warriors.

Who will claim the precious treasure rings they need?

The warriors are racing,

but they need at least one ring to claim victory.

You must reach further, Ciarc.

Whoever claims the last ring will triumph.

You must grab that ring, warriors, before you reach the skulls.

Syora is victorious.

This challenge is not over.

I will test them once more.

The warriors will now compete to win more rings.

First up, Ciarc versus Nantin.

Nantin looks like she has claimed early gold,

but Ciarc's developing lead sees her abandon the ring.

An unusual decision, warrior.

Nantin snatches the ring.

Ciarc must take at least one ring.

Ciarc claims a ring and races for the finish.

Nantin goes for a second ring.

You must hurry. Your comrade follows closely.

She heads for the finish.

It felt amazing when I won two rings because I didn't do very well

in the start, but then when I tried harder and I used more confidence,

I did really well.

At first, I was nervous going right above the water,

but then you sort of got used to it.

I'm a little bit disappointed about today, but for future challenges,

I'm going to try much, much harder and become more determined.

Which of these warriors will add further rings to their hoard?

Dakof has made rapid start.

Syora must show strength if she is to catch up.

Work with speed, warriors.

Dakof takes another ring with a mighty reach.

Dakof is victorious.

I changed my mind-set for my second race

and I decided to go for more rings

rather than the one, and I started paying attention to Syora's progress

so I could tell whether I needed to go faster or not.

With me and Ciarc, it felt very tiring to get the ring,

because I was swinging so much.

My race with Dakof was quite hard.

He had a lot more strength than me.

I feel really good about winning both challenges

because I wasn't expecting to do as well,

and now I've got lots of treasure rings to add to my hoard.

Dakof's success in these races sees him add four rings

to his treasure hoard.

Nantin gains two rings,

and Syora takes one.

Ciarc stays on six and must claim rings quickly

if he is to remain on this quest.

Warriors, the land that we live in now is not what it once was.

The magic that was here disappeared over the years

and when it returned with the forging of the symbols,

Nevar looked to take it all for himself.

Here in these woods are some of his victims.

The magical creatures that once flew free

have been trapped inside his curses.

It falls to you, young warriors, to set these creatures free.

You must use a bow to pierce these cursed orbs

that imprison these poor creatures.

Do this and they will reward you with rings.

You will need to hunt for the orbs amongst these trees,

and have but four magic arrows each, so use them wisely.

Warriors, are you ready to take on this challenge?

I'm excited for this challenge, and my shots have to be precise.

I really, really love archery and I'm pretty ecstatic about it.

I'm confident about this challenge as I enjoy archery.

I'm a little bit nervous for this challenge,

but if my shots are precise I can pull through.

Then let the challenge begin.

This challenge is about more than just rings.

It will right one of the wrongs that Nevar has done to our land.

A miss. The warriors must aim carefully to free the spirits

and take the treasure rings.

Nantin's first arrow hits its mark.

Breathe deep and aim well.

Dakof is unlucky.

Misses count for nothing.

Nantin's second arrow.

A near miss.

Ciarc must focus.

He needs rings to stay on this quest.

Just one creature has been freed so far.

What can the warriors do with their remaining arrows?

Syora misses the target again.

Ciarc needs rings. He must make this count.

An accurate shot.

A spirit is freed and Ciarc wins a ring.

Can Dakof free a spirit and claim a ring with his third arrow?

So close, but near misses don't earn rings.

Only one arrow remains for each of the Wolves.

Last chance for Syora.

Nantin's turn.

Ciarc, take your time and pick your target.

Dakof is yet to hit a target.

In the Forest of the Golden Orbs,

I missed three shots shooting the orbs

and then in my final shot, I managed.

Yes!

I was really happy when I shot the orb, because if I didn't,

I would have lost another ring.

I was disappointed that I didn't get any magical orbs.

It wasn't difficult to shoot the bow and to aim

because each time I got really close, but...

..it just kind of went off course.

The Forest of Golden Orbs was OK.

However, I only managed to hit one of the magical orbs.

It was a bit difficult to aim for them in the dark because I tried

shooting at the big ones, but I missed them a couple of times,

and then when I went for the small ones, it was hard to get them.

I think I did pretty well in the Forest of Golden Orbs,

as I hit one golden orb.

I had tried a couple of times to hit it before and when I finally hit it,

I had a big grin on my face.

Nantin, Dakof and Ciarc each hit a golden orb

and freed a spirit that Nevar had imprisoned.

They gain one gold ring each.

Syora failed to hit any orbs.

Her treasure ring total remains at nine.

Nevar knows where the Wolves are heading.

It will take wiry strength to overcome

the wicked traps that he sets.

Warriors, the trees before you hold many secrets of our land.

Legends speak of the giant spiders that live here,

deep inside the forest.

I have never seen these creatures,

but their webs hang here still.

Look up and you will see golden treasure rings

trapped in the threads.

To reach them, you must call upon strength, speed and agility,

racing one another up this ancient web.

The challenge is to reach the topmost rings,

but along the way,

there is the chance to take more treasure.

You all know the value of every ring

in this quest to become a true warrior,

for whoever has the least number of rings at the end of today

will leave this quest.

Warriors, are you ready to face this challenge?

I'm excited about this challenge so I can get more rings.

I'm nervous about this challenge, but I'll try my best

to get treasure rings.

Then let the challenge begin.

Five rings can be claimed in this challenge,

two on the ascent and three at the top,

but only the warrior who reaches the top first

will keep all their treasure rings.

Ciarc takes an early lead.

Dakof is ahead in the race for the top.

For coming second, warriors will be awarded a solitary ring.

Dakof claims all five rings from this challenge.

The Spider's Web was a really exciting challenge

and also it was a bit scary because at first Ciarc was in front of me

and I was nervous that he was going to get to the top rings before me,

but then he got stuck in the middle and I managed to overtake him.

I think at the second round, Dakof realised he needed

to get a lot faster to beat me, so then he got faster

just past the second ring and just made it there

to the top before me.

The second climb begins.

These warriors are closely matched.

A first ring is taken.

Both have a second ring,

but only the warrior who reaches the top will add them to their hoard.

This race couldn't be closer. Only an arm's length from victory.

Yes! Woo!

Well done, warrior.

I went up against Nantin and at the top,

she very nearly went to grab the rings,

but then she wasn't far up enough to catch them,

so I just took another step and I grabbed it.

The toughest part of the Spider's Web was probably just

keeping balance because it was really wobbly,

so it was kind of hard to get the rings.

Warriors, with this challenge completed,

Ciarc, you have the least number of rings.

If it remains this way at the end of today,

then you must leave this quest.

But take heart,

for there is one more challenge remaining.

Nantin, Syora, Dakof,

you hold an advantage,

but take care that you do not squander it.

Stand ready, then, warriors, for the next quest beckons us.

The next challenge is called Leap of Faith.

Faith in yourself.

Look up and you will see golden treasure rings

hanging high amongst the boughs of the trees.

To add them to your hoard, you must each ascend to the top.

Once there, you will face the leap,

a jump out into the sky to grasp those rings

and claim an advantage.

Warriors, are you ready to face this challenge

and scale the heights in search of treasure?

I'm a little bit worried for this challenge,

but I'm just going to take a breath and go for it.

I'm pretty comfortable with heights,

but I'm worried about reaching for the rings.

I'm very nervous for this challenge as my one fear is heights.

I'm confident with this challenge because I'm not afraid of heights,

but I will try my best.

Then gather your courage,

and let the challenge begin!

Climbing to the top is only half the challenge.

You must stand before you leap.

Have courage, brave warrior.

The climb is done. Now the leap must follow.

Syora has shown that fortune favours the brave.

Woo!

I've just done Leap of Faith.

When you got to the top, there were three rings

and you had to try and grab them,

and I did it and I got the rings!

Ciarc must succeed to give him a chance of continuing his quest.

I can't get any higher!

I don't know if I want to do this.

Ciarc, if you cannot make the leap,

I will return you safely to the ground.

I don't want to do it.

Ciarc, have faith in yourself.

I can't jump. I can't do it.

Very well, Ciarc, I will return you to the ground.

As soon as I got to the top, it was too high,

and it was really scary, so I decided I didn't want to do it.

When I looked down, it was just really far down

and so I didn't want to jump.

Nantin is next to face the Leap of Faith.

The climb is only part of the challenge.

The leap must be made to take the rings.

Look out at the rings.

Nantin must believe in herself to succeed.

The Leap of Faith went really, really well.

I was up there and my adrenaline was pumping

and then I reached for the rings and I got all three.

I'm feeling amazing now. I'm a bit out of breath,

but I'm so happy I've done it.

Dakof is last to make the climb.

Can he ascend to make the leap?

This warrior must look out and focus on the rings.

The climb is done. Now the leap must follow.

Yes!

My tactics for the Leap of Faith were to not think about it

and to go really fast off the platform

so I just decided to sing a little song in my head

and just go for it.

Warriors, your courage, agility and resourcefulness

have brought you to the end of the second day of your quest.

Dakof, with 21 rings, you lead the others in this quest.

You will go into the third day with that advantage.

Syora, with 17 rings, you are in second place.

Let us see if tomorrow you can challenge for the lead.

Nantin, you might trail the others,

but you will continue on into the third day.

Ciarc, with eight rings,

you have shown why you are such a valued warrior in your homeland,

so while this day is the end of your quest,

you have proven in these challenges to be a worthy warrior.
