The Wolves Reach the Last Stand Raven

Our land is in danger.

The evil sorcerer Nevar and his fellow demons have found a way

to escape the desolate realm that imprisons them,

and are seeking to conquer ours.

Only the one true protector of the land can find the warriors

to save us.

TRUMPETING

My name is Raven.

And I seek the true warriors.

16 of the bravest and most worthy have answered my call.

Which of them will conquer the challenges?

Who will reach the Grand Tournament and be named as a true warrior?

From across this land,

four worthy warriors came to battle under the banner of the wolf.

Each with the hope of being named as a true warrior.

HOWLING

To succeed, they must demonstrate courage, strength,

agility, and resourcefulness.

Despite braving two days of challenges,

the first of their number has been eliminated.

Four became three.

And now this trio must compete for the treasure rings they need to gain

an advantage in the Last Stand.

Let us see which of them will win a place in the Grand Tournament.

Two days into this quest, and Dakof leads the pack with 21 gold rings.

Syora is in second place with 17, and Nantin has 13 treasure rings.

With just three challenges remaining,

whoever has the most rings at the end of today will have the greatest

advantage in the Last Stand,

the race that opens the way into the Grand Tournament.

I once stood where you do now,

a warrior facing these trials.

As a fellow warrior,

I congratulate you on reaching this point.

But, know that your quest is far from done.

Each ring you win or lose this day could determine your fate.

Now come, Nevar will still be seeking us.

Follow me, and may the luck of the raven's eye be with you.

Nevar is one step ahead of the warriors.

His evil sorcery has encapsulated treasure rings in ice

upon this perilous cliff face.

Quickly now.

After our night's rest, Nevar's demons have caught up with us.

To escape them, you must descend the precipice.

As you escape their clutches,

you will have a chance to gather golden treasure rings.

Remember, these rings are what you seek in your quest to reach

the Grand Tournament.

To reach these rings, you will need

to use your warrior's hammer to smash the pods

that hide them before Nevar's demons catch you.

You must race to the bottom.

It is the total and your treasure hoard that will decide your fate

this day.

And if you're caught, you will have to pay a hefty price.

Warriors, are you ready to face this challenge?

The cliff face looks pretty big, and I hope I get all of the rings.

I'm nervous about this challenge, and I do not want to get caught by

the demon.

I'm excited for this challenge, and I hope I get some

treasure rings.

Then let the challenge begin.

Nantin is first to descend the deadly cliff face.

The warriors need treasure rings,

but they must move quickly as Nevar's demons are not far behind.

Warriors have a hammer to break through the ice which encases

the treasure rings.

Nantin has smashed open the first one.

Each offers two golden treasure rings.

Beware Nantin, for the demon is in pursuit!

With the demon fast approaching,

Nantin has deemed the second pod too dangerous.

Quickly, warrior! You have the ring now, you must reach the ground!

I broke two ice pods, that means I've got four rings.

It was really scary with the demon chasing me as I was coming down,

because at the second ring,

I got really scared, because he was right next to me,

and I didn't want to get caught.

Although I didn't get all of the six rings,

I'm still happy with the four I got.

Another warrior is ready to descend.

This is no easy challenge.

The rock face is hard to tame, and difficult to descend.

Made no easier with the demon in pursuit.

The ice is broken. Quickly, seize the ring!

The demon is almost upon Syora.

She must move quickly if she's to keep her treasure rings.

Syora claims another two rings.

The demon is closing in!

Syora has gathered all of the rings from the precipice.

But she must reach the ground unharmed to keep her hoard.

Yes!

Woo!

Raven's Rock was good, because I got six rings!

The demon was so close to me.

And when I was breaking the last one,

I was scared, because he was literally right here.

Dakof begins his descent.

Can he follow in the success of the other warriors?

The demon is in pursuit.

Dakof has claimed two rings, but the demon is fast approaching.

Quick, Dakof! The demon is nearly upon you!

Be careful, warrior.

The demon draws close!

Well done, warrior. Now, reach for the gold.

The demon is fast approaching.

Dakof must work quickly to make an escape.

Be careful of the demon's stare, warrior.

Dakof, you may return at the expense of two rings.

Raven's Rock was a little bit scary for me.

But once I got going, I really got the hang of it.

But sadly for me, I got caught by the demon.

The warriors escaped Nevar's ambush.

In doing so, Syora claimed six rings.

While Nantin's success brings her four more.

Taking her total to 17.

For falling under the demon's gaze,

Dakof must lose two rings from his hoard,

meaning he slips behind Syora into second place.

Now, we must see what other villainy Nevar has in store.

It seems we cannot escape Nevar's dark magic.

His foul creatures have blocked our path,

and our only way onwards lies across this Demon Causeway.

Here, Nevar's foul creatures stand guard over the rings

that you must take if you are to progress.

Your only path to safety is to construct a causeway between

the barrels, and collect all five rings before your fellow warriors.

Fail to do so, and you will feel the wrath of the demon stare.

You will take on this challenge simultaneously,

but only one can emerge victorious.

Step forward, and let the challenge began.

The warriors must use strength, agility,

and speed if they are to win the rings from this challenge.

Syora's difficulty handling

the board sees her begin to fall behind.

The demons will awake if you touch the ground.

Nantin takes the first rings.

Is Dakof's approach too cautious?

Dakof has now taken his rings.

You must hurry if you are to make it back first.

All three warriors are racing to return for the final rings.

Remember, one false step, and the demons will awake.

Nantin is just a few steps from safety.

Although, with one slip, her race could be over.

Nantin is victorious...

..and the demons awake.

It was really, really fun, because I was in the lead to start off with,

and Dakof and Syora were right behind me.

And I was really scared that they were going to catch up. But luckily,

I got all five of the rings. It felt amazing to win the challenge,

cos I haven't won a challenge against them in ages.

I'm so happy that I did.

At the expense of a ring, Syora, you may return.

Every part of the Demon Causeway was challenging,

because you had to do multiple things at once.

You had to carry a plank, as well as placing a plank,

as well as walking across a plank whilst you're holding a plank,

and it is a pretty complicated game.

When I saw Nantin and Dakof racing ahead,

I felt really downhearted, and just, like, well,

I'm not going to catch up now, am I?

Dakof, you too must pay the price of one gold ring for your return.

The Demon's Causeway was quite tough for me,

because the barrels where you had to stand were quite small,

and since I've got really big feet,

I couldn't stand on them all the time cos they were small,

and I had to have the plank on them as well.

The most challenging part was definitely getting the plank

from one barrel to another,

because I would have to bend down to try to get it exactly

where I wanted it so that I couldn't fall off,

which was quite hard sometimes.

As the competition intensifies,

Nantin adds five rings to her hoard.

Dakof and Syora's defeat has cost them both one golden treasure ring.

With one challenge remaining before the Last Stand,

Nantin and Syora share the lead.

Our journey goes from one danger to another.

As Nevar's demons wait in in ambush hoping to stop us reaching

the Last Stand,

we must make another difficult decision on how to continue our

journey.

So, while the warriors rested, I sought Raven of Old's council.

Raven of Old, I summon you.

Four warriors have answered my call,

but Nevar's demons are pursuing them.

But we must escape them if they are to continue their quest.

Nevar's demons are not only pursuing you,

he has placed these foul demons to lie in ambush on all the roads

-and portals ahead.

-Then we are trapped.

12 years ago, you were a warrior facing my challenges.

How would you solve this riddle then?

The roads and portals are being watched...

..but maybe Nevar's yet to guard the rivers.

We must brave the rapids of Dead Man's Gorge.

Pass his demons there, and you may yet escape him.

Thank you.

You are the land's protector now.

We have made good progress on our journey,

but the way forward from here is far from simple.

The road we must take lies at the end of this gorge.

To reach it,

you must make the perilous plunge into the icy river below.

These waters carry you downstream to a pool at the end.

But beware,

for one of Nevar's despicable creatures stands guard

over this pool.

You will see that there are golden rings hanging above the river.

Grasp at least one of the golden rings, and you may pass the demon

unharmed.

Warriors, are you ready to make the leap into the dead man's Gorge?

ALL: Yes, Raven.

Courageous, indeed.

Now, let the challenge begin.

Dakof, may the luck of the Raven's eye be with you.

Three rings taken.

Four.

Dakof has taken the maximum five rings from Dead Man's Gorge,

and can pass the demon unharmed.

Right at the start, I was just thinking about the best way

to jump and get the ring, so I could quickly get my head up again

to get the next ring, cos the water moves so fast.

It was quite cold, especially on my head,

but once I started feeling and looking about...

Looking for the rings, then it was fine.

I just had a mission, and I completed it.

I think that, depending on how my other competitors do,

I am going to have a really good shot on the Last Stand.

Syora, jump, my brave warrior.

Three, two, one.

The current moves swiftly.

Syora must show strength.

Look to the next ring.

A good grip has brought this warrior treasure.

With three rings claimed, the demon's price is paid.

It was very cold.

It was so fast that I just...

I couldn't get two of the rings, because it was so...

It was going too fast for me.

I am very proud of myself for getting as many rings as I could,

and surviving.

Nantin, have courage, my brave warrior.

After a strong start, Nantin has run into some difficulty in the rapids.

It was so cold, but I'm so happy I got three rings.

I tried to do a backhand so that I could at least be a bit slower,

so I can catch the rings,

but unfortunately I slid to one side so I couldn't get

one of the rings.

The icy waters of the gorge have proved rewarding for all three

warriors.

Nantin and Syora each gained three rings to add to their hoard.

A perfect five-ring performance from Dakof brings his total to 23 rings.

This tally of rings will now set their place in the Last Stand.

And so the quest to join the Grand Tournament draws to a close.

Each of you have proven yourself to be worthy warriors.

Rings have been won and lost.

And you will carry the advantage they give you into this last race.

This next challenge is why you came here.

Be ready to face the Last Stand.

Follow me.

You all faced the evil that Nevar placed in your way.

And you have all overcome it.

But now, if you are to progress to the Grand Tournament,

you must make it across this cursed ground.

Nevar knows that you must pass through the portal that stands here

if you are to continue your quest to become a true warrior.

He has placed these obstacles and the demons that guard them

to stop you.

Now that you have seen this danger, I must ask you, warriors,

do you have the courage to take the next step and to face Nevar's wrath?

I am nervous for the Last Stand, but I have been saving up all my

courage and strength just for it.

I'm pretty nervous about this challenge, and I hope I do well.

To complete this challenge, I will need to call upon all of my skills.

Spoken like true warriors.

The rings you have collected will determine your starting position.

Nantin, Syora, you each collected the same number of rings,

so you will start at the same time.

Dakof, you have 23 rings, and you will follow shortly after.

You still have a chance to succeed, despite this disadvantage.

Only one of you will enter the portal.

The others will lose their chance to be named as a true warrior.

Now is the time for courage, my young friends.

May the luck of the Raven's eye be with you.

Syora and Nantin begin the race together.

Dakof joins the race.

Have faith, warrior, you can still catch up.

The ramp must be constructed to reach the warrior's shield.

Nantin, beware, the warrior's shield is needed to pass the demons.

A demon is passed without harm.

The trailing warriors must hurry if they are to catch Nantin.

Syora, use your shield to deflect the demons' stare.

Dakof must hurry if he is to catch the other warriors.

Nantin has reached the emblems.

To pass the demons, all four must be placed in the shield.

The price for reaching the portal, a place in the Grand Tournament,

and this race is close.

Despite the deficit, this race is not over for Syora.

Nantin must show courage if she is to overcome the remaining obstacles.

One final barrier remains between these warriors and the portal.

Beware of Nevar!

You must take the Talisman, the key to open the portal.

The portal is opened, and Nantin is victorious.

A brave performance from Nantin.

Throughout this quest, she has demonstrated strength,

agility and resourcefulness...

..the skills of a true warrior.

After a close-fought battle,

the Wolves send their warrior through to the Grand Tournament.

Nantin has shown that she has the courage to fight against Nevar

and his demons.

The Last Stand was absolutely amazing.

I'm so, so, so happy that I've won.

I really did think that I wasn't going to win,

and that they were going to beat me,

but I did push forward and used all my confidence to get to the end.

I am so, so, so happy I'm going through to the final.

I am going to be Ultimate Warrior. I'm going to try my very hardest.

Warriors, return from the demon's clutches.

You will not be banished to Nevar's realm this day.

Syora, Dakof, your bravery will be celebrated by your people.

While you must leave this quest to return home, do so with honour.

Stand as warriors against Nevar's demons,

protecting your home from evil.

I am proud of you.

When I went through the rope maze,

it was a lot harder than for some other people, because I am a lot

bigger than anyone else.

And it was quite tough, cos I had my shield with me,

and it was hard to fit through all the small gaps.

I'm a little disappointed, but I'm really happy that Nantin did it,

because it was a really good boost for herself.

I was a little shorter than everyone else in the Last Stand,

but I thought that would be an advantage, but it wasn't.

I couldn't bust through the door because it was really, really hard.

And no matter how many times I smashed it,

I just couldn't get through.

Nantin, you conquered the Last Stand and entered the portal first.

This victory claims your place in the Grand Tournament.

Nevar was watching.

Even now, his demons will be searching for the next group of

warriors making their way to the Grand Tournament.

But this quest is far from over.

In but a few moons, the challenges will begin again.

Next time,

four more determined warriors join the quest to rid this land

of evil.

Two warriors have already earned their place in

the Grand Tournament, only two places remain.
