And welcome to our quest to find Britain's ultimate young glee club.

We've been up and down the country,

and no stone was left unturned in our search.

The talent was sensational, but only the top 24 have the fortune

to face our studio audience and put on a show-stopping performance.

They'll be singing their hearts out to popular hits

and showcasing their skills, but only one will win

and take home the title of Sport Relief Does Glee Club 2012.

Throughout the heats, our judges will be sharing

their words of wisdom and guiding our glee clubs with their expertise.

Let's meet them.

'Carrie and David are the UK's best-known vocal coaches.

'They've worked with artists like Take That and The Saturdays.

'Sisco is an artistic director and choreographer.

'He's worked with stars like Cher Lloyd and Kylie Minogue.'

Welcome. Welcome, oh mighty ones!

Sisco, are you looking forward to seeing the acts today?

Absolutely.

We've been searching high and low for the top 24

and now it's showtime.

Big time! I like it. LAUGHTER

I hope you're all sitting comfortably

because this is the important part.

24 groups have made it through to the heats.

Today, three of those acts will battle it out for our experts,

who'll be scoring them on vocal ability, creativity and performance.

In the unlikely event of a tie, head judge Carrie

will decide who goes through.

The acts with the top five scores across the heats

will then compete in the live finals,

where it'll be up to you at home to vote for your favourite.

And the winners will then take home the fantastic

Sport Relief Does Glee Club 2012 trophy!

-I can't look at it, Sam! It's so shiny!

-It's really shiny.

Right. Are we ready for some performances?

That's what we're here for.

Well, let's get this show on the road and meet some glee clubs,

you know what I'm saying?

'Our three glee clubs taking part today

'were short-listed by our judges

'from auditions all over the UK, and given feedback on areas to work on.'

ALL: Hi, we're Dolce from Cwmbran. CHEERING

-We are so excited!

-I think we're a little bit different cos we've got so much harmony.

-Yeah.

When you hear the harmony, it's spine-tingling, like, "Whoo!"

ALL: We are 8Trax, and we're from southeast London.

-We're really excited.

We're a really confident, bubbly group, and we have lots of energy.

We cannot wait to get out there and do our thing.

Will our judges be as enthusiastic as our audience? Let's find out.

OK, Carrie, what did you think of those performances?

Amazing.

Through the audition process, we give all these groups notes,

and say, "Go away and work on this."

Dolce, we asked you to work on your arrangements, and, boy, did you!

That was absolutely brilliant. What a great way to start.

OK. 8Trax, I smiled all the way through that performance.

The vocals were a little in and out,

but I have to say that was incredibly entertaining.

And for True Rhythm, you guys, really good singers,

I can hear individual voices that are really strong, but in a way,

when it's all together, I don't want to hear individual voices,

I want to hear one voice, so really think about that as we go through.

OK, David, did any of our glee clubs stand out for you there?

For me, Dolce had the best verse.

Their verse sounded like one voice, and it was locked.

Trax had the best vibe, but...

True Rhythm, for me, they lived up to their name.

You guys had the swagger, you know what I mean?

You look like a bunch of miniature Jessie Js up there.

We could hear individual voices, but I loved the individuality

of your performances, so it was an amalgam.

OK, let's go over to the judges and see what they thought. Sisco.

With Dolce, I think you had a solid ensemble sound.

It sounded crisp, nice, but when it got to the individual vocalists,

some were stronger than others.

So, you have to make that decision, who is the strongest?

Who's going to take the lead?

With 8Trax, you guys are so adorable and so endearing.

But you guys are so nervous, don't be nervous, you got this far

because you're good, so act like that and sing like that.

When it comes to True Rhythm, the third soloist,

I wish you took the lead

because you've got this beautiful tone to you that I wish that...

I heard more of, because when you sing together as an ensemble,

it's a great sound, but I needed a more solid featured vocalist.

One of the hardest challenges for any glee club

has got to be being brutal about who they use for soloists.

That's the hardest decision you're ever going to make

because some people will think,

I've not been chosen, and no-one wants to make that decision.

But you have to make tough choices, you have to use just the best people

that you have for that song and stick with it.

It's going to vary from song to song as well.

on vocal ability, creativity and performance.

Round 3 is last chance for our groups to deliver a stand-out performance.

They need to score as many points as they can

to secure a top spot on the glee club leaderboard!

I think it went brilliantly. It was fantastic.

What's been the highlight of the show so far for you?

I don't know, just working together

and having the chance to be able to gather and sing.

I found it really good. We all tried our best.

All today's groups have been awarded points for vocal ability,

creativity and performance across all three rounds.

Sisco, were you surprised by any of the song choices today?

I was pleasantly surprised. I think you guys didn't do something

-too drastic, it suited you all, so well done.

-David.

When you look at True Rhythm, that dance break was really novel.

I've not seen anybody do that up to this point.

Dolce, loved the harmonies! The harmonies were fantastic.

In fact, I would say that forget the movement,

your strength is your harmonies.

Do less movement-wise and just sing.

And as for 8Trax, I'm confused, there was this group called 8Trax

that came out earlier looking really nervous and singing really quietly

and then a minute ago, this other group came out looking like

the Jackson 8 or something and just blew the stage up.

That was amazing.

True Rhythm, you guys are so original, I love that originality.

Unfortunately, you were in the wrong key for two-thirds of the song.

For Dolce, wow, amazing vocals, wow, wow.

Performance lacking slightly, lacking energy.

-8Trax, that was amazing.
