Sport Relief Does Glee Club is back.

0:00:020:00:03

With shinier sets and brighter lights,

0:00:030:00:05

this series promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

0:00:050:00:08

Hundreds of top young performers from all over the UK will

0:00:080:00:11

give their all in the hope of being crowned the winners.

0:00:110:00:13

Last year, Resonate took home the trophy,

0:00:130:00:15

but now it's time to find a new winner.

0:00:150:00:18

This is Sport Relief Does Glee Club 2014.

0:00:180:00:21

Hello and welcome to Sport Relief Does Glee Club 2014.

0:00:400:00:45

We are back with bigger sets, brighter lights and,

0:00:450:00:47

most importantly, a new batch of the best British young glee clubs.

0:00:470:00:52

As ever, our aim, with a little help from you,

0:00:520:00:55

is to crown a new winner for 2014,

0:00:550:00:58

and it's all in the name of Sport Relief.

0:00:580:01:01

Last autumn, the glee club team travelled all over the UK to try and

0:01:010:01:05

find the most talented young singing and dancing groups in the country.

0:01:050:01:10

The top 24 acts were then asked back to perform

0:01:100:01:12

at the judges' auditions in Glasgow.

0:01:120:01:15

There were only 15 places up for grabs in the studio heats,

0:01:150:01:19

so the pressure was on.

0:01:190:01:21

But before all that,

0:01:210:01:22

let's take a look at where the glee club journey took us.

0:01:220:01:26

John and the team travelled the lengths and breadths of the country

0:01:330:01:37

to find the best singing and dancing talent the UK has to offer.

0:01:370:01:40

First stop - the Northeast of England, Newcastle.

0:01:400:01:44

Hello.

0:01:440:01:45

# Don't stop me now... #

0:01:480:01:51

Next stop was Glasgow,

0:01:520:01:53

where John was checking out the talent north of the border.

0:01:530:01:57

# Money, money, money... #

0:01:570:02:00

Then it was straight back down to Manchester with more groups

0:02:000:02:03

giving it their all.

0:02:030:02:04

HE MOUTHS

0:02:070:02:08

John and the team then headed off to London to see what the glee clubs

0:02:080:02:11

in the capital city could come up with.

0:02:110:02:13

Let's go listen to some music.

0:02:150:02:17

Next they were off to Bristol

0:02:230:02:24

to check out the best of the West Country's glee clubs,

0:02:240:02:26

before heading to Cardiff to see what was on offer there.

0:02:260:02:29

Bye-bye, Cardiff. Who's next?

0:02:330:02:36

Then it was a quick trip across to Belfast to see what

0:02:360:02:38

the Northern Irish glee clubs could come up with,

0:02:380:02:40

before heading down to Brighton

0:02:400:02:42

to complete the talent search of the UK.

0:02:420:02:44

The standard was high,

0:02:470:02:48

but it was then up to John to select the 24 successful glee clubs

0:02:480:02:51

who were invited to perform again at the judges' auditions.

0:02:510:02:54

Now, you may be wondering, "Where are Sam and Mark?"

0:03:020:03:05

Don't worry, they will be back for the heats and the live shows.

0:03:050:03:09

However, I was joined by our very lovely resident expert panel.

0:03:090:03:13

As usual, they'll be keeping a close eye on the proceedings

0:03:130:03:16

and making those all-important decisions.

0:03:160:03:19

So let's meet the people who will decide the fate of our groups.

0:03:190:03:22

It's our judges.

0:03:220:03:23

Carrie and David are two of the UK's best known celebrity vocal coaches.

0:03:250:03:29

-That was fantastic.

-That was a world-class performance.

0:03:290:03:33

They've worked with pop artists including

0:03:350:03:37

Take That, The Saturdays, Marvin Humes

0:03:370:03:39

and even Gwyneth Paltrow.

0:03:390:03:40

Celebrity vocal and performance coach John has worked with

0:03:410:03:44

a variety of stars, including JLS, Leona Lewis, Olly Murs

0:03:440:03:47

and Frankie Sandford.

0:03:470:03:50

He's also worked behind the scenes on top shows

0:03:500:03:52

like The Voice and The X Factor.

0:03:520:03:54

Helping Carrie, David and John decide who should go through

0:03:550:03:58

to the heats were some very special expert guests.

0:03:580:04:01

Let's meet them.

0:04:010:04:02

Soul singer and presenter Dionne Bromfield

0:04:040:04:06

has been nominated for a MOBO award, has recorded two albums

0:04:060:04:09

and also finds time to present CBBC's Friday Download.

0:04:090:04:12

Is that another one you play on the breakfast show?

0:04:140:04:16

I do play that on the radio as well. So in sync!

0:04:160:04:18

West End star Kerry Ellis has had lead

0:04:190:04:20

roles in Wicked, Les Miserables, We Will Rock You and Oliver,

0:04:200:04:24

and is also a successful recording artist.

0:04:240:04:27

Finally, Strictly Come Dancing professional Erin Boag has

0:04:270:04:30

put many celebrities through their paces, wowed audiences with

0:04:300:04:33

her dance moves, and stars regularly in spectacular sell-out shows.

0:04:330:04:37

Right, now for the rules.

0:04:440:04:45

Listen carefully, cos I will say this only once.

0:04:450:04:48

Actually, I'll say this in the second and the third shows,

0:04:480:04:51

so I'll say it three times. But listen carefully anyway.

0:04:510:04:53

In these first three shows, our judges will be deciding which

0:04:530:04:57

acts they want to see again in the studio heats.

0:04:570:05:00

Those top 15 acts will then perform again

0:05:000:05:02

right here on this very stage in front of a live audience.

0:05:020:05:07

The five groups with the highest scores across those heats

0:05:070:05:10

will then compete in the live finals,

0:05:100:05:12

where you at home will decide who is crowned

0:05:120:05:15

Sport Relief Does Glee Club Winners 2014.

0:05:150:05:19

It's as simple as that.

0:05:190:05:20

Right, we have eight glee clubs to see in this show,

0:05:200:05:23

so let's meet the first group.

0:05:230:05:25

Right, first group is VoxBox.

0:05:360:05:38

Lots of energy. They perform with a lot of attitude.

0:05:400:05:43

I think that they are actually quite enjoyable.

0:05:430:05:47

I'd be surprised if they didn't go away

0:05:470:05:49

and you had a smile on your face.

0:05:490:05:50

I think you're quite keen to see one of the judges, aren't you?

0:05:500:05:53

Dionne Bromfield!

0:05:530:05:55

Dionne.

0:05:550:05:56

-What do you love about Dionne?

-Everything.

0:05:560:05:58

-Hello.

-Hiya.

0:05:580:06:00

PERFORMER: Oh, Dionne, Dionne.

0:06:010:06:03

Hold it together. Hold it together.

0:06:050:06:07

Do you need to get it out of your system?

0:06:070:06:10

-THEY GIGGLE

-Tell you what,

0:06:100:06:12

if I count to three, after three, just scream

0:06:120:06:14

and it'll be out of your system, all right?

0:06:140:06:16

One, two, three.

0:06:160:06:18

THEY SCREAM

0:06:180:06:19

# Melt the clouds

0:06:210:06:24

# Of sin and sadness

0:06:240:06:26

# Drive the dark of doubt away... #

0:06:260:06:34

He's cute, isn't he?

0:06:350:06:36

# ..of immortal gladness

0:06:360:06:41

# Fill us with a light

0:06:430:06:48

# Fill us with the light, oh, fill us

0:06:490:06:54

# With the light

0:06:540:06:57

# Of day

0:06:580:07:01

ALL: # Joyful, joyful, Lord, we adore thee

0:07:120:07:16

# God of glory

0:07:160:07:18

# Lord of love

0:07:180:07:21

# Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee

0:07:210:07:24

# Hail Thee as the sun above

0:07:240:07:29

# Melt the clouds of sin

0:07:290:07:31

# Sin and sadness

0:07:310:07:33

# Drive the dark of doubt away

0:07:330:07:36

# Drive it away

0:07:360:07:38

# Giver of immortal gladness

0:07:380:07:42

# Fill us

0:07:420:07:44

# Fill us with the light of day

0:07:440:07:47

# Light of day. #

0:07:470:07:51

What do you think?

0:07:560:07:58

I think it went well.

0:07:580:07:59

So, I thought that was really good.

0:07:590:08:01

From the second you started singing it was all smiles,

0:08:010:08:03

which was really good.

0:08:030:08:04

One of my favourite songs, so I'm glad you guys done it. Is it Tevan?

0:08:040:08:09

The tone of your voice is lovely.

0:08:090:08:11

I do think that you're a bit young

0:08:110:08:12

so you can't control it properly yet,

0:08:120:08:14

but I say give you three, four or even five years

0:08:140:08:18

and you're going to have all these girls running after you.

0:08:180:08:20

He already has. Absolutely already has.

0:08:200:08:22

Beautiful. I think, just when you get older or the more you train,

0:08:220:08:25

just learn how to control it a bit.

0:08:250:08:27

But, yeah, it was brilliant. I really liked it, guys, so well done.

0:08:280:08:31

Thank you.

0:08:310:08:33

The key to a good gospel sound is what we call sloppy tight,

0:08:330:08:38

which means it has to be really accurate and really tight.

0:08:380:08:42

Then when you add the joyful part, which is

0:08:420:08:44

the centre of gospel music, it makes it just that little bit like,

0:08:440:08:48

"We've all just come together and started singing."

0:08:480:08:50

There should be that feel about it. You definitely have that.

0:08:500:08:53

What you need to work out though, is keep that kind of sloppiness,

0:08:530:08:57

but you also need to keep the accuracy going

0:08:570:08:59

when you're giving it the energy.

0:08:590:09:02

If you can get those two things married together -

0:09:020:09:04

and there is all the potential there to have it -

0:09:040:09:06

you'll really have nailed that.

0:09:060:09:08

Well done.

0:09:080:09:09

KIDS: Thank you.

0:09:090:09:10

Great potential, VoxBox. Great potential.

0:09:100:09:13

-How did it feel when you were up there?

-Amazing! I want to cry.

0:09:130:09:17

-Who wanted to cry?

-Yeah, cos I saw Dionne.

0:09:200:09:24

It made you want to cry just seeing her when you walked in?

0:09:240:09:26

SHE LAUGHS

0:09:260:09:28

"It's Dionne!"

0:09:280:09:29

-"It's Dionne!"

-"Oh, in the flesh."

0:09:290:09:31

This is how I feel for you, David.

0:09:330:09:34

LAUGHTER

0:09:340:09:36

Tevan, did you get some nice comments, or what?

0:09:370:09:40

What would you like to say about that?

0:09:400:09:42

I'm grateful for them.

0:09:420:09:43

GIRLS: Aw!

0:09:430:09:44

-Kevin's a little star, and he's got that tone.

-What's his name?

-Tevan.

0:09:460:09:51

CARRIE LAUGHS

0:09:510:09:52

No, I said Tevan. I said Tevan.

0:09:520:09:54

-You said Kevin.

-I never said Kevin.

-Three people said you said Kevin.

0:09:540:09:59

All right, Leon, and Don?

0:09:590:10:00

And Barry? It's Tevan.

0:10:000:10:03

# Light of day. #

0:10:030:10:07

ALL: We're Encore.

0:10:140:10:16

Next up we have Encore.

0:10:160:10:18

You will no doubt remember them as the dance-strong group that

0:10:180:10:23

made it to the heats last year.

0:10:230:10:25

They happened to be very good dancers who happened to be

0:10:250:10:28

able to sing as well.

0:10:280:10:29

# Yeah, you bring sadness... #

0:10:310:10:34

Have you kept the dancing in?

0:10:340:10:35

Yeah, well, we've tried to tone it down a bit,

0:10:350:10:37

cos we've taken on the criticism that we got last time.

0:10:370:10:41

But we've still got it in cos it does make us unique

0:10:410:10:43

and different to everyone else.

0:10:430:10:45

ALL: Encore!

0:10:450:10:46

# I give a little

0:10:560:10:57

# Into the moment

0:10:590:11:00

# Like I'm standing at the edge I know

0:11:000:11:03

# No-one's gonna turn me around

0:11:040:11:08

# Cos I'm a slave to the sound

0:11:080:11:13

# And they're calling

0:11:130:11:14

# Don't stop No, I'll never give up

0:11:140:11:15

# And I'll never look back Just hold your head up

0:11:150:11:17

# And if it gets rough It's time to get rough

0:11:170:11:20

# They keep saying

0:11:210:11:22

# Don't stop No, it's never enough

0:11:220:11:24

# I'll never look back Never give up

0:11:240:11:26

# And if it gets rough It's time to get rough

0:11:260:11:29

# And now I'm falling Falling, falling

0:11:290:11:32

# Falling, falling, falling, falling

0:11:320:11:35

# Falling, falling, falling, falling Oh

0:11:350:11:39

# Into the fire feeling higher than the truth

0:11:390:11:42

# Falling

0:11:420:11:44

# I can feel the heat but I'm not burning

0:11:440:11:46

# But now I'm falling

0:11:460:11:48

# Feeling desire Feel the tired

0:11:480:11:51

# I'm falling

0:11:510:11:52

# Feels like we're falling

0:11:520:11:54

# I can hear them calling Now I'm falling

0:11:540:11:57

# Falling, falling, falling, falling

0:11:570:11:59

# Falling, falling, falling, falling

0:11:590:12:02

# Falling, falling, oh And now I'm falling. #

0:12:020:12:05

Perfect.

0:12:060:12:07

I really, really like the song

0:12:120:12:14

and I thought you guys done it really well.

0:12:140:12:16

I think the dancing kind of...

0:12:160:12:18

When you were dancing you kind of forgot a bit about your vocals,

0:12:180:12:21

so I think less dancing and remember the vocals are the main thing.

0:12:210:12:26

You gave so much energy and everything.

0:12:260:12:28

I thought it was amazing. You definitely gave it 100%.

0:12:280:12:31

-GIRLS: Thank you.

-So well done.

0:12:310:12:32

Just make sure that when you have that much dancing,

0:12:320:12:35

make sure you're supporting every note,

0:12:350:12:37

because towards the end or halfway through, I could kind of hear

0:12:370:12:41

-the breathiness and the vocals were suffering just a little.

-OK.

0:12:410:12:45

What you're not using enough is your ears

0:12:450:12:48

to listen to the sound that you're making.

0:12:480:12:51

So when you're rehearsing, if you do get through,

0:12:510:12:54

I want you to think about...

0:12:540:12:55

Yes, we're dancing, it's all showbiz, it's great.

0:12:550:12:57

But actually vocally does it sound beautiful?

0:12:570:13:01

Cos it should sound beautiful.

0:13:010:13:03

All of the equipment is there to sound beautiful,

0:13:030:13:07

but you really have got to engage your ears a lot more, yeah?

0:13:070:13:11

It's a compliment. GIRLS: Thank you.

0:13:110:13:13

Well done, girls.

0:13:140:13:16

What did you think about what Dionne said to you?

0:13:160:13:19

It was constructive and it's something that we can work on now.

0:13:190:13:22

It's coming from such a strong singer like herself.

0:13:220:13:25

It's nice to get positive feedback from someone that's already

0:13:250:13:28

established in that industry.

0:13:280:13:30

I thought they were really good.

0:13:300:13:31

Vocally, I thought they were really good.

0:13:310:13:33

But I think too much dancing for me.

0:13:330:13:34

I know they are dancers first and then singers after,

0:13:340:13:37

but still, I thought there was a bit too much dancing.

0:13:370:13:39

If we did put them through, would they take

0:13:390:13:43

the critique on board or would they do exactly what they've done again?

0:13:430:13:47

# And now I'm falling. #

0:13:470:13:48

Positive comments for both VoxBox and Encore.

0:13:560:13:58

But will they take the judges' advice

0:13:580:14:00

if they make it to the studio heats?

0:14:000:14:02

Next up, another two groups get their chance to impress the judges.

0:14:020:14:06

-What you've got is like a musical energy drink.

-I loved it.

0:14:070:14:10

I totally loved it.

0:14:100:14:12

You have a beautiful honesty and openness when you perform.

0:14:120:14:16

ALL: We are Miss Chief!

0:14:220:14:23

Right, next up we have Miss Chief.

0:14:230:14:25

I saw them in London.

0:14:250:14:27

The main reason they're back is

0:14:270:14:29

because they had an infectious energy.

0:14:290:14:31

There was a rawness about them.

0:14:310:14:33

Cool T-shirts, girls. This is your glee club name, is it?

0:14:330:14:37

ALL: Yeah.

0:14:370:14:38

Miss Chief, is that cos you get up to lots?

0:14:380:14:41

-Yeah.

-Do you?

0:14:410:14:42

What are you going to be singing today?

0:14:420:14:43

Revolting Children.

0:14:430:14:45

Because you are revolting children?

0:14:460:14:48

We're revolting!

0:14:480:14:49

No, not really. - Yes.

0:14:490:14:51

-You said yes.

-I didn't mean that.

0:14:510:14:54

We're revolting.

0:14:540:14:55

# Just because I find myself in this story

0:15:000:15:03

# It doesn't mean that everything is written for me

0:15:030:15:07

# If I think the ending is fixed already

0:15:070:15:11

# I might as well be saying I think that it's OK

0:15:110:15:15

ALL: # And that's not right

0:15:160:15:18

# We are revolting children

0:15:180:15:20

# Living in revolting times

0:15:200:15:22

# We sing revolting songs

0:15:220:15:24

# Using revolting rhymes

0:15:240:15:26

# We'll be revolting children

0:15:260:15:29

# Till our revolting's done

0:15:290:15:30

# And we'll have the Trunchbull bolting

0:15:300:15:33

# We're revolting!

0:15:330:15:34

# We'll become a screaming horde

0:15:340:15:36

# Take out your hockey stick

0:15:360:15:38

# And use it as a sword

0:15:380:15:41

# Never again will we be ignored

0:15:410:15:43

# We'll find out where the chalk is stored

0:15:430:15:45

# And draw rude pictures on the board

0:15:450:15:47

# It's not insulting We're revolting!

0:15:470:15:51

ALL: # R-E-V-O-L-T-I-N'

0:15:510:15:53

# We're S-I-N-G

0:15:540:15:56

# U-S-I-N-G

0:15:560:15:58

# We'll be R-E-V-O-L-T-I-N-G

0:15:580:16:02

# It is 2-L-8-4-U

0:16:020:16:04

# We are revolting

0:16:040:16:06

# We are revolting children

0:16:060:16:08

# Living in revolting times

0:16:080:16:10

# We sing revolting songs

0:16:100:16:12

# Using revolting rhymes

0:16:120:16:14

# We'll be revolting children

0:16:140:16:17

# Till our revolting's done

0:16:170:16:18

# And we'll have the Trunchbull bolting

0:16:180:16:20

# We're revolting! #

0:16:200:16:22

APPLAUSE

0:16:230:16:24

Do you think they'll be happy with that?

0:16:280:16:29

-Hopefully.

-Are you happy?

-Yes.

0:16:290:16:31

You could have just come out here and exploded

0:16:310:16:33

and done the whole thing in fifth gear, but you gave it gear changes.

0:16:330:16:36

You gave us light and shade. You gave us checked textures.

0:16:360:16:40

Really beautiful. Really loved it.

0:16:400:16:42

And you, who started singing, what's your name?

0:16:420:16:44

Asmara.

0:16:440:16:45

Asmara, you have a beautiful honesty and openness when you perform.

0:16:450:16:49

You are fantastic.

0:16:490:16:51

Please keep singing because you have something very special.

0:16:510:16:54

Thank you.

0:16:540:16:55

Watch the ends of your words.

0:16:550:16:56

I think that's probably because you've got a lot of things to do and

0:16:560:16:59

you've got a lot of movement, which was great, you committed to it.

0:16:590:17:02

I loved it. But just make sure you finish off the ends of those words.

0:17:020:17:07

-It was great. I loved it. Really well done.

-Thank you.

0:17:070:17:10

What's your name, young lady?

0:17:100:17:12

-Charday.

-Charday, you were like an explosion on that stage. Honestly.

0:17:120:17:17

All of you matched her. Your energy was great.

0:17:170:17:20

Yes, there were a few little technical things,

0:17:200:17:22

there were odd words that were out of sync,

0:17:220:17:24

there were some of the ends of lines that pronunciation wasn't right,

0:17:240:17:28

but overall, I have to say what a great performance!

0:17:280:17:31

Thank you very much.

0:17:310:17:32

And now you can relax because you've done it.

0:17:350:17:37

Asmara, lovely comments to you. What do you feel about that?

0:17:370:17:41

Mm...

0:17:410:17:43

She's so quiet!

0:17:430:17:45

You're so quiet, such a beautiful voice. They loved it.

0:17:450:17:47

-Has that made you happy?

-Yeah.

0:17:470:17:49

The good thing about these songs is they know what these

0:17:490:17:52

lyrics are, so they can really understand it. That comes across.

0:17:520:17:55

About using your hockey stick as a sword and finding the chalk

0:17:550:17:57

in the cupboard and writing all over the blackboard...

0:17:570:17:59

-Yeah, they get it.

-Kids actually get it.

0:17:590:18:01

And that becomes natural and then it becomes a good performance.

0:18:010:18:04

# We're revolting! #

0:18:040:18:05

Right, next up we have Triple Threat.

0:18:150:18:17

You'll remember them from last series.

0:18:170:18:19

They are pretty much the same group, maybe with about three extra.

0:18:190:18:23

Brought them back because I think they deserved a second chance.

0:18:230:18:26

-You're a kind-hearted soul.

-Very kind.

0:18:260:18:29

# I don't want to lose you now... #

0:18:290:18:31

-NAOMI:

-What's going to happen in your performance today?

0:18:310:18:34

Have we got any exciting bits to look out for?

0:18:340:18:36

Daniel, me and Nicole are doing our little solos.

0:18:360:18:39

-NAOMI GASPS

-Are you?

0:18:390:18:41

So how are you feeling about that?

0:18:410:18:42

-DANIEL: Nervous.

-Are you? How have you prepared for your solo?

0:18:420:18:46

Em... You know High School Musical when they all do the...

0:18:460:18:49

HE SINGS A HIGH NOTE

0:18:490:18:50

That's me.

0:18:500:18:51

# I don't want to lose you now

0:18:540:18:56

# I'm looking right at the other half of me

0:18:560:19:00

# The vacancy that sat in my heart

0:19:000:19:03

# Is a space that now you hold

0:19:030:19:06

# Show me how to fight for now

0:19:060:19:09

# And I'll tell you, baby It was easy

0:19:090:19:12

# Coming back to you once I figured it out

0:19:120:19:15

# You were right here all along

0:19:150:19:18

# It's like you're my mirror

0:19:190:19:22

# My mirror staring back at me

0:19:220:19:25

# I couldn't get any bigger

0:19:250:19:27

# With anyone else beside of me

0:19:290:19:31

DANIEL: # And now it's clear as this promise

0:19:310:19:34

# That we're making two reflections into one

0:19:340:19:38

# Cos it's like you're my mirror

0:19:380:19:41

# My mirror staring back at me

0:19:410:19:44

ALL: # It's like you're my mirror

0:19:440:19:47

# My mirror staring back at me

0:19:470:19:49

# Staring back at me

0:19:490:19:51

# I'm starting with the man in the mirror

0:19:550:19:58

# I'm asking him to change his ways

0:19:590:20:04

# And no message could be any clearer

0:20:040:20:08

# If you want to make the world a better place

0:20:080:20:11

# Take a look at yourself and make a change

0:20:110:20:14

# Na-na-na, na-na-na

0:20:160:20:18

# Na-na, na-a. #

0:20:180:20:22

Aw, they looked like they really enjoyed that.

0:20:230:20:26

CARRIE: Well done, guys. If you want to come forward a little bit...

0:20:260:20:29

-Are you happy?

-Yeah, they did great...really good.

0:20:290:20:32

What I would like to see is a slight change in the balance.

0:20:320:20:35

I'd like to see a little less dancing

0:20:350:20:38

and a little bit more focus on the vocals, particularly the ensemble.

0:20:380:20:42

But I do want to pick out your soloist -

0:20:420:20:44

what a beautiful voice you have, young man.

0:20:440:20:46

-Thank you.

-Lovely, well done.

0:20:460:20:48

See, I loved it. I totally loved it and I loved the big performance

0:20:480:20:53

and I agree, I don't think the vocals were the best.

0:20:530:20:56

In the second song, the spacing didn't seem right.

0:20:560:21:00

You had one person standing behind the other

0:21:000:21:02

and I wanted to see you all but I couldn't see the back three.

0:21:020:21:07

-But it was great.

-Thank you.

0:21:070:21:09

When you perform, there's a feel-good factor about you,

0:21:090:21:12

it's very real to me.

0:21:120:21:14

So it's organic, so this is the thing,

0:21:140:21:17

you just have to go away and keep rehearsing.

0:21:170:21:20

If you come back, you're going to surprise us even more, right?

0:21:200:21:23

Thank you.

0:21:230:21:26

You must be chuffed, Daniel?

0:21:260:21:28

It's really good.

0:21:280:21:29

Those comments about your voice! What do you think?

0:21:290:21:31

Oh, I'm really chuffed!

0:21:310:21:33

Sounded great from out here.

0:21:330:21:35

That two minutes, if they put in 10 or 12 hours of hard work,

0:21:350:21:39

that could be transformed!

0:21:390:21:41

I just feel like they're undercooked, they're underprepared.

0:21:410:21:45

If we bring them back, will they have enough time to be prepared?

0:21:450:21:49

I liked what I saw and it makes me hungry to grab them and say,

0:21:490:21:55

"Look, this could be so much more!"

0:21:550:21:57

# Na-na, na-na. #

0:21:570:21:59

Four acts have now performed for our judges and with four groups still to

0:22:060:22:10

see, let's take a moment to remind ourselves why we're all here.

0:22:100:22:15

Sport Relief raises money to help change people's

0:22:150:22:18

lives in some of the world's poorest communities,

0:22:180:22:21

as well as right here in the UK.

0:22:210:22:23

In fact, there are over 2,000 UK projects benefiting from money

0:22:240:22:28

raised by the charity.

0:22:280:22:30

So, wherever you're watching from,

0:22:300:22:31

you're probably not very far away

0:22:310:22:34

from a project supported by Sport Relief.

0:22:340:22:36

Your donations really can make a difference to the

0:22:360:22:39

lives of vulnerable people at home and abroad.

0:22:390:22:42

If you'd like to get involved in this year's

0:22:420:22:45

Sport Relief Games from the 21st to the 23rd of March,

0:22:450:22:48

grab a grown-up and visit the CBBC website at...

0:22:480:22:51

..to find out how.

0:22:560:22:58

Thank you.

0:22:580:23:00

Right, We have MT13.

0:23:080:23:11

I saw these girls in Cardiff and do you know what?

0:23:110:23:16

They've never, actually, left my mind, in terms of their performance.

0:23:160:23:19

That's incredible!

0:23:190:23:21

And I thought, you know what, they have to come back.

0:23:210:23:24

I can tell you really liked them. Your own energy has just stepped up.

0:23:240:23:30

Yeah, I did, I did like them.

0:23:300:23:32

THEY LAUGH

0:23:330:23:35

# My feet

0:23:370:23:38

# My feet can't touch the ground

0:23:380:23:41

# And I can't hear a sound

0:23:410:23:43

# But you just keep on running up your mouth, yeah

0:23:430:23:47

# Walk, walk on over there

0:23:470:23:49

# Cos I'm too fly to care

0:23:490:23:52

# Oh, yeah

0:23:520:23:54

# Your words don't mean a thing

0:23:540:23:57

# I'm not listening

0:23:570:24:00

# Keep talking, all I know is...

0:24:000:24:03

# Mama told me not to waste my life

0:24:030:24:06

# She said, spread your wings my little butterfly

0:24:060:24:11

# Don't let what they say keep you up at night

0:24:110:24:15

# And they can't detain you

0:24:150:24:17

# Cos wings are made to fly

0:24:170:24:21

# And we don't let nobody bring us down

0:24:210:24:25

# No matter what you say

0:24:250:24:27

# It won't hurt me

0:24:270:24:30

# No matter if I fall from the sky

0:24:300:24:34

# These wings are made to fly

0:24:340:24:36

# I don't need no-one saying Hey, hey, hey, hey

0:24:360:24:40

# I don't hear no-one saying Hey, hey, hey, hey

0:24:400:24:44

# Words don't mean a thing

0:24:440:24:47

# I'm not listening

0:24:470:24:49

# It's just like water off my wings

0:24:490:24:53

# Wings, oooh

0:24:530:24:56

# She said, spread your wings my little butterfly

0:24:560:25:00

# My little butterfly

0:25:000:25:01

# Don't let what they say keep you up at night

0:25:010:25:04

# And they can't detain you

0:25:040:25:07

# These wings are made to fly. #

0:25:070:25:11

APPLAUSE

0:25:110:25:13

-Yeah?

-Yeah, cool.

0:25:130:25:15

-Happy with that?

-Yeah, yeah, good, good.

0:25:150:25:17

You look like a glee club -

0:25:170:25:19

there's something there for everybody cos you all look so different.

0:25:190:25:22

You feel like a girl band as well.

0:25:220:25:24

You feel like you're one and I love that, that feel of it!

0:25:240:25:27

I would have liked to have heard some harmonies.

0:25:270:25:29

I think, if you're going to be taken through,

0:25:290:25:31

we need to get a little bit more from the vocal side,

0:25:310:25:34

in terms of really spreading it out.

0:25:340:25:36

Cos at the moment, I don't know

0:25:360:25:38

if you can sing in harmonies at all, just from that performance.

0:25:380:25:40

-Even though it was good.

-Can they?

-Yeah, they can.

0:25:400:25:43

-And I do want to point out... What's your name?

-Tegan.

0:25:430:25:46

Tegan, you are a little star!

0:25:460:25:49

Well, you're all amazing but you are particularly a little star.

0:25:490:25:52

Well done, fantastic, great!

0:25:520:25:54

You've got swagger!

0:25:540:25:55

THEY LAUGH

0:25:550:25:57

You know, you just come on stage and it's like,

0:25:570:25:59

"The stage belongs to us. Everybody, get out of the way!"

0:25:590:26:02

I loved that!

0:26:020:26:03

Thank you.

0:26:030:26:05

Well done, guys! That was absolutely amazing!

0:26:050:26:08

You have such charisma and I love that you're all individuals

0:26:080:26:11

and you bring your own thing to the piece.

0:26:110:26:14

The soloists were fabulous, erm, as a team you're really strong

0:26:140:26:19

and I just loved it.

0:26:190:26:20

I can't say any more. Well done.

0:26:200:26:22

Thank you.

0:26:220:26:25

They pointed you out and said you were a little star!

0:26:250:26:27

What do you make of that?

0:26:270:26:29

-Amazing!

-That's made you very happy. Your smile's so big.

0:26:290:26:33

You couldn't take your eyes off her. Just drawn to her.

0:26:330:26:36

I was having to make a decision, make an effort to watch the others.

0:26:360:26:39

I just wanted to watch her!

0:26:390:26:41

-She's got so much.

-Yeah, the whole thing.

0:26:410:26:44

They all, kind of, buzzed off her, which was nice.

0:26:440:26:46

You could tell that they know she's the little firecracker.

0:26:460:26:49

She's the focal point.

0:26:490:26:51

She definitely is, yeah.

0:26:510:26:52

# These wings are made to fly. #

0:26:520:26:55

TOGETHER: We are Rococo!

0:27:020:27:04

I saw these guys in Manchester. They are a great Glee Club image.

0:27:040:27:11

They just came across me as, that's Glee Club!

0:27:110:27:14

I'm loving the image of you guys already. This is great!

0:27:140:27:18

Loved the ensemble, fantastic. They've got quite big voices.

0:27:180:27:21

I think you will like them.

0:27:210:27:23

# Some nights I stay in cashing up my bad luck

0:27:290:27:33

# Some nights I call it a draw

0:27:330:27:37

# Some nights I wish that my lips could build a castle

0:27:370:27:42

# Some nights I wish they'd just fall off

0:27:420:27:46

# But I still wake up I still see your ghost

0:27:460:27:50

# Oh, Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for, oh

0:27:500:27:55

# What do I stand for?

0:27:550:27:58

# What do I stand for?

0:27:580:28:00

# Most nights, I don't know

0:28:000:28:03

# Anymore

0:28:030:28:06

# Oh-oh-oh

0:28:060:28:08

# Oh-oh-oh

0:28:080:28:10

# Oh-oh

0:28:100:28:13

# Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

0:28:130:28:17

# Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh

0:28:170:28:21

# This is it, boys, this is war

0:28:210:28:24

# What are we waiting for?

0:28:240:28:26

# Why don't we break the rules already

0:28:260:28:30

# I was never one to believe the hype

0:28:300:28:33

# Save that for the black and white

0:28:330:28:35

# I try twice as hard and I'm half as liked

0:28:350:28:38

# But here they come again to jack my style

0:28:380:28:41

# Some nights I stay up cashing up my bad luck

0:28:410:28:46

# Some nights I call it a draw. #

0:28:460:28:51

Happy with that?

0:28:560:28:58

The thing that I liked was

0:28:580:29:00

the attack that you had on the lead vocal.

0:29:000:29:03

Very, very good.

0:29:030:29:05

I thought the ooohs and aaahs, the harmonies were not consistent.

0:29:050:29:07

They were flowing in and out a little bit,

0:29:070:29:10

which I think is hard on a song like this

0:29:100:29:11

because they're not standard harmonies in thirds,

0:29:110:29:14

so you really have had to listen, and again,

0:29:140:29:17

you're in a new environment listening through speakers.

0:29:170:29:19

So I don't know whether it's the environment that caused them

0:29:190:29:22

to go, because everything else seemed really rehearsed.

0:29:220:29:25

Thank you.

0:29:250:29:27

Can I please just point out Mitchell?

0:29:270:29:29

I really hope that you want to go into our industry.

0:29:290:29:31

-I really do - you have something very special.

-Thank you.

0:29:310:29:34

Well done, guys, as a group, well done.

0:29:340:29:37

Thank you very much.

0:29:370:29:38

He does, doesn't he? He does have something.

0:29:410:29:45

Yeah, he does...like magic.

0:29:450:29:47

Group hug!

0:29:490:29:51

I really do feel they were better on the audition.

0:29:530:29:55

I don't know what it is, the environment, I don't know.

0:29:550:29:58

It just seemed, even the ensemble, even the blend was better.

0:29:580:30:02

But they do have a tendency to over-sing.

0:30:020:30:04

We're going to have to draw some conclusions and decide

0:30:040:30:07

whether that was unrepresentative of their talent or

0:30:070:30:11

whether that was as good as it gets.

0:30:110:30:13

# Some nights I call it a draw. #

0:30:130:30:17

Some stand-out individual performances there from MT13

0:30:220:30:25

and Rococo.

0:30:250:30:27

Let's see how the final two glee clubs, Swing and Jazz

0:30:270:30:29

and The Peppermints, get on in front of the judges.

0:30:290:30:32

A year older and a year better.

0:30:320:30:35

More than 50% of your performance was dance.

0:30:350:30:38

I brought you back

0:30:380:30:39

because it would have been a crying shame not to have.

0:30:390:30:43

# Got that swing... #

0:30:490:30:51

Right, next up, we have Swing and Jazz. I saw them in Bristol.

0:30:510:30:55

They are exactly that, they've brought that element to the show.

0:30:550:30:58

Are there any bits of your performance that

0:30:580:31:00

you are worrying about?

0:31:000:31:01

We've got a lift.

0:31:010:31:04

You've got a lift?

0:31:040:31:06

-Yeah!

-Who's doing the lift?

0:31:060:31:07

-I'm being lifted.

-You're the brave one. Who's lifting?

-Those two.

0:31:070:31:12

The lads, no pressure! Have you ever dropped her?

0:31:120:31:15

-No.

-Never?

-Never.

-So, that's a good sign.

-Yeah.

-Don't drop her today.

0:31:150:31:19

We won't.

0:31:190:31:21

# It don't mean a thing

0:31:480:31:50

# If it ain't got that swing

0:31:500:31:52

# Doo-ah, doo-ah Doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah

0:31:520:31:54

# Doo-ha, doo-ha, doo-ah

0:31:540:31:57

# It don't mean a thing All you've got to do is sing

0:31:570:32:00

# Doo-ah, doo-ah Doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah

0:32:010:32:04

# Doo-ha, doo-ha, doo-ah

0:32:040:32:06

# It makes no difference If it's sweet or hot

0:32:060:32:09

# Give the rhythm everything you've got

0:32:100:32:13

# No, no, it don't mean a thing

0:32:140:32:17

# If it ain't got that swing

0:32:170:32:19

# Doo-ah, doo-ah Doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah

0:32:190:32:22

# Doo-ha, doo-ha, doo-ah... #

0:32:220:32:24

Didn't drop her, good.

0:32:290:32:30

# It don't mean a thing if it ain't got the swing

0:32:470:32:51

# Doo-ah, doo-ah Doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah

0:32:510:32:54

# Doo-ha, doo-ha, doo-ah! #

0:32:540:32:56

What did you think?

0:32:580:33:00

I thought they did a good job.

0:33:000:33:01

They looked confident and they were smiling

0:33:010:33:03

and nobody got dropped.

0:33:030:33:05

Nobody got dropped!

0:33:050:33:06

At the moment, more than 50% of your performance was dance.

0:33:060:33:11

And I think, for a glee club,

0:33:110:33:13

it probably needs to be about 75% signing and 25% dance.

0:33:130:33:17

So if you do get through, I think we'd need to hear a lot more singing.

0:33:170:33:22

Yeah.

0:33:220:33:23

And the reason why we want to hear more of your singing is because

0:33:230:33:26

the singing, particularly the ensemble stuff you did, was so good.

0:33:260:33:30

It was really tight, it was really together.

0:33:300:33:33

You all came off at the same time,

0:33:330:33:35

you were shaping the vowels the same way, nobody was over-singing

0:33:350:33:39

and you were trying to blend and really listening to one another.

0:33:390:33:42

So your singing is good.

0:33:420:33:45

I mean, your dancing's really good too but don't overdo one

0:33:450:33:48

and compromise the other.

0:33:480:33:50

Get that combination and that balance right and I think

0:33:500:33:53

Carrie's right, I think that 75/25 is about the right balance.

0:33:530:33:57

Right, so more singing, please.

0:33:570:33:59

Yeah, OK.

0:33:590:34:00

I totally agree with the guys, erm, but you had such a nice energy.

0:34:000:34:03

You were really fluid, which was nice.

0:34:030:34:06

You were very relaxed, which made us relaxed.

0:34:060:34:08

Erm, the same, there was a lot of dancing at the beginning.

0:34:080:34:11

We just wanted to hear you sing

0:34:110:34:13

and my favourite bit was that a cappella bit you did at the end.

0:34:130:34:16

You were all so in-tune

0:34:160:34:17

and listening to each other, which was beautifully blended.

0:34:170:34:20

I really enjoyed it, so yeah, more singing.

0:34:200:34:23

Thank you.

0:34:230:34:24

Nobody got dropped!

0:34:240:34:26

LAUGHTER

0:34:260:34:28

So, they made the comment about having a lot of dance,

0:34:280:34:30

too much dance, needed more singing.

0:34:300:34:32

What do you think about that?

0:34:320:34:33

-I think we agree with them.

-Yeah.

0:34:330:34:35

The thing is as well, I'm not sure,

0:34:350:34:37

we wanted to give a performance and not just a song.

0:34:370:34:41

We have so many other things we can show.

0:34:410:34:43

Cos some of us do things outside of this,

0:34:430:34:46

like dancing and other stuff, so we wanted to show them what we can do.

0:34:460:34:49

-Showcase everything.

-Yeah.

0:34:490:34:52

They performed it nicely, they were really nice and relaxed.

0:34:520:34:55

I liked that they didn't come in...

0:34:550:34:57

You know, some people, they get worried about the dance

0:34:570:35:00

or worried about the vocal - they had the balance right

0:35:000:35:03

with doing the movements with the singing,

0:35:030:35:04

but it was just too much dance.

0:35:040:35:07

# Doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah Doo-ah, doo-ah doo-ah. #

0:35:080:35:12

Hi!

0:35:170:35:19

Right, next up we have The Peppermints.

0:35:190:35:21

Hi!

0:35:210:35:22

And this is the only returning group with all the original members.

0:35:220:35:27

# Swagger Jagger

0:35:270:35:29

# Swagger Jagger... #

0:35:290:35:30

So, I'm sure you'll remember them when you see them.

0:35:300:35:33

Look at Izzie!

0:35:330:35:34

-Hello...!

-Hi!

0:35:360:35:39

Hello! Ooh, I get a hug! That's nice.

0:35:390:35:42

It's the glee club with the freshest breath in show business.

0:35:420:35:45

The Peppermints.

0:35:450:35:46

-You came back, then - we didn't put you off.

-No!

0:35:460:35:49

We definitely come back, it was amazing last year.

0:35:490:35:51

-You had a good time?

-Yeah!

-Excited to be here again this time?

0:35:510:35:54

Yeah.

0:35:540:35:55

# You shout it out

0:35:560:35:59

# But I can't hear a word you say

0:35:590:36:04

# I'm talking loud Not saying much... #

0:36:040:36:08

It sounds beautiful, doesn't it?

0:36:080:36:12

# I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose

0:36:120:36:16

# Fire away, fire away

0:36:160:36:20

# You shoot me down but I won't fall

0:36:200:36:24

# I am titanium

0:36:240:36:28

# You shoot me down but I won't fall

0:36:280:36:32

# I am titanium

0:36:320:36:36

# Yo, I'll tell you what I want What I really, really want

0:36:400:36:42

# So tell me what you want What you really, really want

0:36:420:36:45

# I wanna-ha, I wanna-ha I wanna-ha, I wanna-ha

0:36:450:36:47

# I wanna really, really, really Wanna zigazig ah

0:36:470:36:49

# So here's the story from A to Zee

0:36:490:36:51

# If you wanna get with me You gotta listen carefully

0:36:510:36:54

# We got Em in the place Who likes it in your face

0:36:540:36:56

# We got G like MC who likes it on an...

0:36:560:36:57

# Easy V doesn't come for free She's a real lady

0:36:570:37:01

# And as for me - ah, you'll see

0:37:010:37:02

# Slam your body down and wind it all around

0:37:020:37:04

# Slam your body down and wind it all around

0:37:040:37:07

# If you wanna be my lover You gotta get with my friends

0:37:070:37:10

# Gotta get with my friends

0:37:100:37:11

# Make it last forever Friendship never ends

0:37:110:37:16

# Ba ba-da ba-da

0:37:200:37:22

# Ba-da ba-ba

0:37:220:37:24

# If you wanna be my lover. #

0:37:240:37:26

Like a bundle of energy, aren't they?

0:37:300:37:32

-Ahh, they're so cute!

-How do you think they did?

0:37:320:37:36

-I'm so proud of them.

-Ahh.

0:37:360:37:38

What I love about you guys is that there is not one weak link.

0:37:380:37:43

Everywhere I look on the stage, there is 100% performance going on.

0:37:430:37:48

Brilliant.

0:37:480:37:49

ALL: Thank you!

0:37:490:37:51

Yep, I brought you back because it would be a crying shame not to have.

0:37:510:37:55

You're very, very good and I have a massive smile on my face,

0:37:550:37:59

-I enjoyed it so, so much.

-Thank you!

0:37:590:38:02

That was really good, I really enjoyed it.

0:38:020:38:04

You've got me singing and tapping -

0:38:040:38:05

I think we were all kind of bopping along to it!

0:38:050:38:07

And I'm going to be honest - as soon as you guys smiled,

0:38:070:38:10

it just made me smile and it made me

0:38:100:38:12

enjoy the performance like ten times as much as I originally did.

0:38:120:38:15

Thank you.

0:38:150:38:17

OK, you are done.

0:38:170:38:18

Thank you!

0:38:180:38:20

Bye!

0:38:200:38:21

Bye!

0:38:210:38:23

I'm ready.

0:38:230:38:25

-Well done!

-Woo!

0:38:250:38:28

Tell me how it went.

0:38:310:38:32

-Amazing!

-You enjoyed it?

-Yeah!

-Good!

0:38:320:38:36

-They had lovely things to say about you all.

-I know!

0:38:360:38:38

So, do you feel that you're a year better?

0:38:380:38:40

Do you think that you've made - what improvements do you think...?

0:38:400:38:43

I think that we've definitely, definitely improved,

0:38:430:38:45

because we've been working so much harder this year.

0:38:450:38:48

That was proper entertainment, wasn't it?

0:38:480:38:50

They actually spent two minutes entertaining us.

0:38:500:38:53

You want a group that can blend well together -

0:38:530:38:55

they showed us that in the beginning.

0:38:550:38:57

You want a group that's got loads of energy,

0:38:570:38:59

you want a group that can do some up-tempo choreography.

0:38:590:39:02

And they were really...

0:39:020:39:03

They were ticking lots of boxes.

0:39:030:39:05

They were the glee club that ticked all the boxes.

0:39:050:39:08

# If you wanna be my lover. #

0:39:080:39:09

So, here's a quick reminder of the glee clubs

0:39:140:39:16

that performed on today's show.

0:39:160:39:18

VoxBox from Manchester...

0:39:200:39:22

# Joyful, joyful

0:39:220:39:23

# Lord we adore Thee

0:39:230:39:26

# God of Glory, Lord of Love... #

0:39:260:39:30

Encore from Harrogate...

0:39:300:39:33

# Don't stop, no-one's ever enough

0:39:330:39:35

# I'll never look back, never give up

0:39:350:39:37

# And if it gets rough it's time to get rough... #

0:39:370:39:39

Miss Chief, from southwest London.

0:39:390:39:42

# We are revolting children

0:39:420:39:45

# Living in revolting times

0:39:450:39:47

# We sing revolting songs

0:39:470:39:49

# Using revolting rhymes. #

0:39:490:39:51

Triple Threat from Falkirk...

0:39:510:39:53

# It's like you're my mirror

0:39:530:39:56

# My mirror staring back at me... #

0:39:560:39:59

MT13 from Port Talbot...

0:39:590:40:02

-# Wings, ooh

-Mama told me not to waste my life

0:40:020:40:07

# She said, spread your wings My little butterfly... #

0:40:070:40:10

Rococo from Bolton...

0:40:100:40:12

# Any more

0:40:120:40:14

# Oh, oh

0:40:140:40:16

# Oh, oh

0:40:160:40:19

# Oh... #

0:40:190:40:22

Swing and Jazz from Wiltshire...

0:40:220:40:25

# It don't mean a thing

0:40:250:40:27

# If it ain't got that swing

0:40:270:40:29

# Doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah Doo-ah, doo-ah, doo-ah... #

0:40:290:40:33

And The Peppermints from Hartlepool.

0:40:330:40:36

# Ba ba-da ba-da

0:40:360:40:38

# Ba-da ba-ba

0:40:380:40:40

# If you wanna be my lover. #

0:40:400:40:43

So, all today's groups have now performed.

0:40:490:40:51

But remember, not everyone can make it through to the next round.

0:40:510:40:55

Let's join our judges chatting - arguing -

0:40:550:40:58

about who from this first judges' audition show

0:40:580:41:00

should make it to the studio heats.

0:41:000:41:03

Will they agree in the end? Let's find out.

0:41:030:41:06

I felt they'd come on so much, you know,

0:41:060:41:09

having seen some of these people before.

0:41:090:41:12

So, shall we put them over here as a definite, then?

0:41:120:41:15

I loved their performance.

0:41:150:41:16

I'm glad you said that, because I really felt they improved as well.

0:41:160:41:19

Cutie, cutie, cutie!

0:41:190:41:21

-You take them away and I will walk off.

-We have to have them!

0:41:210:41:26

Promise?

0:41:260:41:27

-Definite, for me.

-These would be a definite for me.

0:41:310:41:33

It hurts me to say this, I completely agree with Mrs Grant.

0:41:330:41:37

I think these ones should go through.

0:41:370:41:38

Well, if it hurts you to say it, then I won't argue.

0:41:380:41:41

-A lovely cross-section of people.

-Agreed.

0:41:410:41:44

Good variety, consistent quality.

0:41:440:41:46

Job well done, guys.

0:41:460:41:48

So the judges have made their decision.

0:41:540:41:56

All of our glee clubs have performed their hearts out,

0:41:560:41:59

but remember, only five of the eight groups from today's show can

0:41:590:42:03

go through to the studio heats.

0:42:030:42:05

So let's rejoin the judges

0:42:050:42:06

to find out who secured an all-important place

0:42:060:42:09

in the next round.

0:42:090:42:10

The first group going through to the studio heats is...

0:42:120:42:16

Encore.

0:42:180:42:19

The second group going through to the studio heats is...

0:42:230:42:28

MT13.

0:42:280:42:30

The third group going through to the studio heats is...

0:42:350:42:39

Peppermints.

0:42:390:42:40

Swing and Jazz, I'm afraid you're not going through,

0:42:460:42:48

but thank you very much, well done and thank you for performing for us.

0:42:480:42:52

The fourth group going through to the studio heat...

0:42:550:42:58

..is...

0:42:590:43:01

..Miss Chief.

0:43:030:43:04

And finally, the fifth group...
