Hi. I'm Dani, and welcome to Style Download.

I'm in Edinburgh to meet a sporty 11-year-old

who needs to ditch his tracksuits

for something smarter for his school prom.

Hi, I'm Mark and I'm 11 years old.

I live with my mum,

my dad

and my little sister Zoe, who's eight.

I love football because my dad used to play and I've played for so long.

I can do quite a lot of keepy-uppies,

and my record is 2,079.

My style dilemma is that

I've got a prom and I'm not sure what to wear.

His comfort zone is tracksuits so he's not quite sure.

He would quite like to wear a kilt, I think.

One of my ideas is to wear a kilt to the prom,

because it's to keep the Scottish tradition

and it looks funny because it's like a skirt.

He's already decided to wear a kilt, which is great.

We just need to decide what he's going to wear with it.

-Hi, Mark!

-Hiya.

-Hi, I'm Dani. Nice to meet you.

-I hear you've got a school prom coming up.

-Yes.

-Shall we go inside so you can tell me all about it?

-Yeah.

-Cool.

-So, your prom's coming up?

-Yeah.

-Tell me a bit more.

Well, it's like a leaving party,

and I'm not sure what to wear.

Have you got anything in mind?

I guess you don't want to wear your tracksuit.

I've got a green kilt that I want to wear,

but I don't know about the top half.

The prom is a massive party. You're right not to wear your tracksuit.

The kilt is a great idea.

-I'm sure we can find you something cool and funky to go with it.

-Yeah.

Wow, Mark! That looks absolutely great.

Loving the green tartan kilt, knee-high socks and the pouch.

That does look absolutely fabulous. But, I don't think

-it goes with your tracksuit top.

-Yeah.

So we need to find you a really cool, funky top

-to make you stand out even more. Shall we have a look?

-Yes.

Yeah? Why not?

-We've got enough to get started, don't you think?

-Yes.

-Let's look.

Oh, wow. I love that shirt.

-Shall we give that a go?

-Yeah.

-I love this shirt, too.

Let's have a look at that.

I think it clashes, so we'll put that in the "no" pile.

-Ah, is that a scarf?

-Yeah.

-Awesome. Accessories are really good.

Scarves, especially for boys, really change an outfit. That's awesome.

I think we should keep that.

-Oh, wow. Loving the waistcoat. Think that might look cool?

-Yeah.

-OK.

Mark is changing into two different outfits for his prom

-and you guys get to pick which is best. Are you up for it?

-Yeah!

All right, follow me.

Outfit number one, a basic black T-shirt

and to bring it to life, we've used a grey stripy scarf.

It goes well with the kilt and looks fabulous.

He looks really fab.

Absolutely fantastic.

Nice change from his messy football gear, that's for sure.

CHEERING

For the next look, a white T-shirt

with an unbuttoned shirt and a waistcoat,

the tie loose around his neck for a more casual look.

I think he looks awesome. So, what outfit is best?

-Number two!

Well, I think that's a clear decision. I'll go tell Mark.

Today's been really good and it's been so much fun

talking and meeting Dani.

It's been fun. I'm so glad Mark's got out of his trackie bottoms

and into a shirt and kilt. He'll stand out at the prom.

Hope he has a great time.

I think my outfit looks really cool

and I'm looking forward to wearing it to the prom.
