Salutations, lovely family of Derby and Carrie from next door,

I've been watching you.

I'm here to offer you the chance to win a lovely prize.

All you have to do is complete a few harmless, devilish dares.

Luke, Sam and Beth will decide which grownupling does which dare.

Should someone be too scared to carry out a dare,

then they can exchange it to buy their way out of it...

But someone must always take their place.

For every dare lost, it means less time for Luke, Sam and Beth

when they return to my castle, making it harder to open

the door of destiny that leads to the final prize.

It's an ancient scroll which holds the clue to what the first

dare will entail.

complete this first dare.

All right, enough of this chitter chatter,

it is time for us to depart for our first Devilish Dare!

Welcome, lovely family of Derby, to your arch rival city, Nottingham,

where people have been tying knots in ham for hundreds of years!

It's also famous for that goody two shoes, Robin Hood,

and it's he who has inspired your first dare,

a dare I like to call Robin's Hoods!

Now, to pass this dare and win yourself a doubloon, all you must do

is answer some of my questions. The answers to these questions are all

foods that you might find in the larder of the Merry Men.

If you get the answer wrong,

then you will get Robin's Bad Hood placed over your head.

What's in Robin's Bad Hood?

Why it's the answer to the question, of course,

and believe you me, it's not nice.

Should you get the question right,

then you get Robin's Good Hood over your head,

containing the Dare Devil's lovely fluff. Make sense?

-Unfortunately, yes.

Little John fancies a bit of mayonnaise.

Which part of the egg should he use?

-Let's see if you're right.

Which hood will it be?

-ALL:

This is an anagram of Maid Marian's favourite food.

The mum must rearrange the letters to get the correct food.

-I don't know the answer.

I think we know what's going to happen next.

-Here comes the hood!

Friar Tuck is making himself a

merry trifle. He's put in custard, fruit, sponge and jelly.

But what has he left out?

-Cream.

Let's see if it's the right answer.

What is a red fruit which the Merry Men like to buy in tins?

The mum only needs one more correct answer to pass the dare

-and win the golden doubloon.

I forgot to close my mouth!

The Merry Men are making spaghetti, bread, and Viennese whirl.

What ingredient do they use in all of them?

If the mum gets this wrong then it's no golden doubloon

for her team.

-Flour.

-Flour, she says. Let's see if she's right!

-ALL:

CHEERING

You've answered three questions out of five correctly

and that means you have won the dare!

Beth, here is your Dare Devil's golden doubloon. Baaa!

I love to see my mum get really messy cos of all the

times she's said, "Go and tidy your room, Luke,"

or "Luke, go and do this." It was funny to get my own back!

They now have two doubloons!

Now, it is time to find out what your second dare entails.

Let us consult the Scroll of Secrets. Sam, read it

nice and loud, but, remember, the devil is in the detail!

The high speed you cannot fight,

-keep your eyes peeled and hold on tight.

Could be on an aeroplane and you have to hold on tight.

-Could be on a roller coaster?

-Yeah, a roller coaster!

-Or it could be a supercar.

-Why do you need to keep your eyes peeled?

Team captains, you now need to select a team member

to complete dastardly dare number two. Who will it be?

KIDS: Dare Devil, Dare Devil we dare DAD!

Well, there's no time to lose, we must depart!

Here we are at Donington Park, and it's inspired our next dare,

a dare I like to call Squeals on Wheels!

This is my old friend, Miiiiiike. Now, Mike likes to ride his bike.

And he likes to ride it fast. Really fast.

Seriously, Luke, really, really fast.

Here's what you have to do. The golden doubloon is in this chest.

-Want it?

-Yeah!

-Ah, ah, ah!

To get it, you must guess the three correct numbers for the lock.

You'll be shown the combination as you whizz around Donington

race track, sitting on the back of Miiike's bike.

All you have to do is memorise the numbers.

-Sounds OK.

-The dad seems confident now,

but the fear soon creeps in as he realises he will be

hurtling around the track at terrifying speeds of up to 100mph.

Spotting the numbers may not be as easy as he thought.

Are you still up for the dare?

Or you can buy your way out with the doubloon?

-Three, two, one!

-THEY CHEER

And he's off!

This mean machine is like lightning

and he's clinging on so tight he might never let it go!

HE ROARS

The dad must keep his eyes open as he hurtles towards

the numbers at 100mph.

THEY CHEER HIM ON

What he doesn't know is that the red numbers are DECOYS,

it's only the WHITE numbers which will open the lock!

THEY SHOUT ENCOURAGEMENT

HE SCREAMS

My, my, I do like to hear them scream!

-Where's the number?

-Best get those eyes ready, the dad!

HE SCREAMS

What was first number? I don't think it was an eight.

-Too many numbers there.

-Yes. Confusing, isn't it?!

-Six. Seven.

-After three laps of the track, the dare is over!

And we're finished.

-Tell me, the dad, was that fast enough for you?

-That was very fast.

-And did you manage to spot the numbers?

-Probably not,

-too many numbers!

-Well, I might be adding to your problems,

I want you to forget all the numbers you saw on the red boards! Haha!

All right, Courageous Cowards. The dad managed to hold on all right,

but did he manage to spot the numbers?

The dad, enter the numbers now!

Right, let's see. I think the first one was eight.

And the second one was three.

And I think the third one was six.

-ALL:

-Woooah!

Drat. You've won yourselves the doubloon!

-Baa!

-Well done, Dad!

I was quite nervous, because I didn't know

if he was going to actually fall off,

but in the end I thought he did really well.

They've done it again, and that means they have three doubloons!

So, Courageous Cowards, time for our last dare!

We used to come here as children and play a classic holiday game

that I think we'll play now, in a dare that I like to call

Freaky or Phoney.

I've collected some of the freakiest creatures from this dimension.

Wearing a blindfold, you will either have one of these crazy critters

placed upon your flesh,

or you might have a harmless phoney.

All you must do is guess whether it's Freaky or Phoney!

-I think it's freaky.

-You think it's Gary, the Corn Snake.

I'll lift your blindfold and see if you're right! Yes, you are!

All right, time for our second creature.

Smiley Bobs, bring it on!

This is a giant millipede, or is it?!

Can you feel hundreds of legs perambulating across your arm?

SHE SCREAMS

Are they legs though, or is it a harmless bit of Velcro?

SHE SHRIEKS

What do you say, Carrie? Freaky or Phoney?

-Freaky!

-Let's see if you're right.

Off comes the blindfold. It is freaky!

THEY CHEER

All right, Smiley Bobs, bring in the third creature!

Here it comes. This little beauty is a giant African snail.

Can you feel him crawling on his stomach

along your arm?

It's only a harmless bit of melon, but it sure does feel

like a giant snail!

-What do you say, Carrie?

-Freaky or Phoney?

Freaky!

Freaky, you say! Let's take off your blindfold and see!

Oh, Carrie! It was a slice of melon! Never mind!

-This time it's Mary, the Chilean Rose Tarantula.

-No!

Here she comes, come on, Smiley Bobs!

That's it, always good news to see a clown.

-SHE SIGHS

-It's never good news!

-Place Mary on her skin.

-Oh, no!

That's it. Mary, go for a little walk.

Or is it a tarantula? Perhaps it's eight cotton buds?

I think one of them has my ear wax on it.

SHE GROANS

What do you say, Carrie? is it Freaky or Phoney!

If Carrie gets this one correct, then she's passed the dare

and won the golden doubloon!

-Freaky!

-It's freaky. Let's see if you're right!

It IS freaky! Well, Carrie from next door, you've got

three out of the five correct. That means you have passed the dare.

CHEERING Well done, Carrie!

I found that really challenging.

I'm not a big fan of creepy-crawlies.

It was horrific. Pretty much horrific!

as they return to my castle to face the Chambers of Bravery!

My, my! From my charming summer home in Derby to my favourite dungeon!

Courageous Cowards, you have been lucky! It's here, Luke, Sam and Beth

that you'll take on my final challenge, a dare I like to call

Chambers of Bravery 2.0!

There's only one way out of my dungeon,

through the Door of Destiny, beyond which lies the prize.

But the door is locked and will only open

when it hears the correct devilish word.

Door of Destiny, the word you seek is...

Luke, Sam and Beth must take on my three Chambers of Bravery

to find the clues that will help reveal the word

to open the doors.

Annoyingly, your excellent leadership has seen you secure

four doubloons! Time to hand them over.

Each doubloon represents 15 seconds.

Add that to the one minute that I unfortunately

already have to give you. That means you have two

minutes to complete the Chambers of Bravery! Now, if at any point you

don't want to do a chamber or it all becomes too much, you can get out of

it by shouting stop the dare! Then one of your team-mates can

take your place, but you will lose ten precious seconds

off the clock. Let's confront our first terrifying chamber!

The Hands of Horror!

The first scroll is hidden within my chamber full of fearsome

creatures. There's no time to waste, so you must remain brave.

Yes, a nice, relaxing challenge.

Relaxing, that is, apart from all these awful amphibians.

So, who is going to face challenge one?

-Beth!

-Beth, very well. Your time will start on my signal.

Three, two, one! Start the clock!

SHOUTS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

There's a ribbon. Yes, stop the clock!

Well done, Beth! You managed to get the scroll in eight seconds!

Now let's go to challenge number two!

There are three boxes of grossness to open.

Unlock the first box to gain the key to the second

and then work your way to the scroll.

Just remember to keep your mouth shut.

-So, who wants to confront the gunk?!

-Sam!

Here's the key to the first box... Start the clock!

Go on, Sam! That's it! Turn the key!

-Come on, Sam!

-Oh, my goodness me! Is he a boy, is he a plate?!

-Keep going, Sam!

-That's it, he's found the key to the next box!

-Quick!

Here he goes, he's turning the key! Oh, my goodness!

Oh, Sam! How colourful you are! That's it, feel around for the key!

He's found the key to the last box!

-That's it! Retching carbohydrates

-all over the boy! Very good!

-That's it, feel around for the scroll.

-Come on, Sam!

That's it, he's got the scroll! OK, out you come!

Stop the clock!

Sam completed the Tunnel of Terror in 55 seconds, so 57 seconds

remain for my final chamber, the Dome of Doom.

The final scroll is locked in a chest in the Dome Of Doom.

To find the key, you must match the feathers to the picture,

but it's not so easy when they're guarded by terrifying beasts.

Time to meet the keeper of the keys!
