Let's go! | 0:01:40 | 0:01:41
-Hello. I'm Kirsten. -I'm Euan. -I'm Hannah. | 0:01:41 | 0:01:46
And this is Mum and Dad. | 0:01:46 | 0:01:48
And we live on this island. | 0:01:48 | 0:01:50
THEY GIGGLE | 0:01:56 | 0:01:58
We have to wake up very early to get ready for school. | 0:01:58 | 0:02:02
-Mornings are really busy in our house. -Thanks, Dad. | 0:02:02 | 0:02:06
We're always rushing around. | 0:02:06 | 0:02:08
Hurry up, you'll be late for school. | 0:02:11 | 0:02:14
Our friends Catriona and James also come to school with us. | 0:02:18 | 0:02:21
But before we go to school we have to do something very different. | 0:02:21 | 0:02:25
Come with us and we'll show you. | 0:02:25 | 0:02:28
We have to get on the boat. | 0:02:33 | 0:02:36
It's a real fun way to get to school | 0:02:40 | 0:02:43
but sometimes it can be a bit bumpy. | 0:02:43 | 0:02:46
Living on an island makes it a bit tricky getting out and about. | 0:02:46 | 0:02:50
There used to be a school here but now children who live on | 0:02:52 | 0:02:58
the island have to go to school on the mainland because it closed. | 0:02:58 | 0:03:03
We're not on the boat for long. We always get to school on time. | 0:03:04 | 0:03:10
See you after school. | 0:03:10 | 0:03:12
At the end of the day, we have to catch the boat back home. | 0:03:19 | 0:03:24
But if we need any shopping, | 0:03:26 | 0:03:28
we have to get it before we go back to the island | 0:03:28 | 0:03:32
because there's no shops on the island. | 0:03:32 | 0:03:35
What did we need to get today? | 0:03:35 | 0:03:37
Milk, toothpaste, and ham for my sandwich. | 0:03:37 | 0:03:42
On the way home, the boat is really busy. | 0:03:48 | 0:03:52
There are even dogs on the boat today. | 0:03:52 | 0:03:56
It's not long before we're home again. | 0:03:56 | 0:03:59
We love living on an island because there's so much stuff to do. | 0:04:01 | 0:04:06
When we're not at school, we like to visit our granny, Cathy, and | 0:04:06 | 0:04:10
our grandad, Arthur, who live on the island too. | 0:04:10 | 0:04:14
Cow! Ow! | 0:04:15 | 0:04:17
They have a farm with lots of animals. | 0:04:17 | 0:04:20
We help give the cows some food | 0:04:20 | 0:04:23
and we call the sheep to feed them too. | 0:04:23 | 0:04:26
Hey! Giddy-iddy-iddy! | 0:04:26 | 0:04:28
Here, Duckie. | 0:04:37 | 0:04:40
I like the ducks that live here too. Duckie. | 0:04:40 | 0:04:43
There are lighthouses on the island as well. | 0:04:46 | 0:04:50
They have bright lights at the top and help to warn boats | 0:04:50 | 0:04:54
if they are near danger. | 0:04:54 | 0:04:56
Because we live on an island, there is lots of beaches to visit. | 0:04:59 | 0:05:04
Today we're helping to bag the bruck. | 0:05:12 | 0:05:15
Bruck is rubbish that washes up on the beach. | 0:05:15 | 0:05:18
Bruck can be big or small. | 0:05:18 | 0:05:20
We do this every year because it's good to keep the beach clean | 0:05:20 | 0:05:25
and tidy, so that we can all enjoy it. | 0:05:25 | 0:05:28
Living on the island is so much fun. | 0:05:31 | 0:05:34
We hope you liked seeing where we live. This is what we do. | 0:05:34 | 0:05:39
-# The Let's Go Club -Let's go. # | 0:05:39 | 0:05:42

It must be so much fun to live on an island. The sound of the sea! | 0:05:47 | 0:05:51
I loved the sheep feeding the best. They are so woolly! | 0:05:51 | 0:05:55
-Yeah, but you're BAA-rmy about animals, Lizzie. -Oh... | 0:05:55 | 0:05:58

CHEERING | 0:07:12 | 0:07:14
Joining me, I have Andy and Rebecca from the CBeebies house. Hey, guys. | 0:07:14 | 0:07:19
-Hi, Abe. -We can't wait to get messy. -Excellent, right, well, | 0:07:19 | 0:07:23
get to your stations whilst I introduce the two teams. | 0:07:23 | 0:07:26
On the red team we have John, Ben, Alysia and Leighton. | 0:07:26 | 0:07:30
-Show us your game faces, guys. -Argh! | 0:07:30 | 0:07:33
And on the blue team we have Ella, Alenie, Kalichi and Ruby. | 0:07:33 | 0:07:37
-Show us what you've got, guys! -Argh! -Excellent. | 0:07:37 | 0:07:40
The aim of the game is to collect four puzzle pieces | 0:07:40 | 0:07:44
like this and put them together to make a picture. | 0:07:44 | 0:07:47
These puzzle pieces could be hidden anywhere along the obstacle course. | 0:07:47 | 0:07:51
Let's take a look at what you've got to tackle. | 0:07:51 | 0:07:54
The first step is to slide down Lizzie's slippery slide. | 0:07:54 | 0:07:58
Search for the puzzle piece in the giant inflatable maze. | 0:07:58 | 0:08:01
Next, the wriggly, wiggly tunnels. | 0:08:01 | 0:08:03
Our teams have to crawl through our slimy gunge tunnels | 0:08:03 | 0:08:07
to find their puzzle piece. Once they've found it, | 0:08:07 | 0:08:10
-it's on to Andy's big ball-pool bonanza. -Thanks. | 0:08:10 | 0:08:13
This is where they'll find the third piece. | 0:08:13 | 0:08:16
They're hidden under the beach balls - then it's on | 0:08:16 | 0:08:19
-to Joanna's jump and grab. -Cheers, Andy. | 0:08:19 | 0:08:22
Reach up and pull the ropes to find the puzzle | 0:08:22 | 0:08:24
piece but, beware, the buckets are full of surprises and slime. | 0:08:24 | 0:08:28
The teams need to work together to complete their jigsaw puzzle | 0:08:28 | 0:08:32
and the first team to do this are the winners. | 0:08:32 | 0:08:35
-It's time to play in a big, big way. John, Ruby, are you ready? -Yes! | 0:08:35 | 0:08:39
OK. Three, two, one, let's go. | 0:08:39 | 0:08:43
Come on, everyone. | 0:08:43 | 0:08:44
The Let's Goers are off to a flying start. | 0:08:44 | 0:08:48
-Keep it going. -The blue team are just ahead down the slippery slide. | 0:08:48 | 0:08:52
Come on, Ella. Oh, she's right through there. | 0:08:52 | 0:08:55
-Oh, she's in the gunge tunnel. Come on, Ella. -Slime time. | 0:08:55 | 0:09:00
He's catching up. Has he got the puzzle piece? Come on, Ella. | 0:09:00 | 0:09:04
-Oh! -What a dive! | 0:09:04 | 0:09:06
Go on, find the puzzle piece, find the puzzle piece. | 0:09:06 | 0:09:09
Go on, Alenie, you can do it. Get in there, find the puzzle piece. | 0:09:09 | 0:09:14
Where is it? Where is it? That's it. Find it. | 0:09:14 | 0:09:17
Keep it going. | 0:09:18 | 0:09:20
Great gunging. | 0:09:23 | 0:09:25
Come on, come on. | 0:09:26 | 0:09:28
-That's it. -Just the jigsaw to finish. Put your puzzle together. | 0:09:28 | 0:09:33
Yes! | 0:09:33 | 0:09:34 | |
Stop! I think... | 0:09:37 | 0:09:40
-it's a draw! -Yeah! | 0:09:40 | 0:09:44
Let's see what you've got. | 0:09:44 | 0:09:46
-Argh! -Excellent. | 0:09:46 | 0:09:49
Right, I think it's safe to say that we've got sand everywhere. | 0:09:49 | 0:09:53
But do you know where sand comes from? | 0:09:53 | 0:09:56
# Where does sand come from? | 0:09:56 | 0:10:01

# Well, I'm going to tell you and this will be fun | 0:10:13 | 0:10:16
# You see, the wind and the rain would help the grain get delivered | 0:10:16 | 0:10:20

# Where does sand come from? | 0:10:31 | 0:10:36
# Everybody knows where you see sand the most | 0:10:41 | 0:10:44
# You get a little by the lakes but loads on the coast | 0:10:44 | 0:10:47
# Cos erosion from the weather beats the rocks above | 0:10:47 | 0:10:51
# And the waves smash the shells to make the beaches we love | 0:10:51 | 0:10:55
# Desert sand is different cos there's no seaside | 0:10:55 | 0:10:58
# The lack of water makes the soil oh-so-dry | 0:10:58 | 0:11:01
# Soil and rock gets broken up, guess what is left behind | 0:11:01 | 0:11:05
# It's sand | 0:11:05 | 0:11:09
# That's where sand comes from | 0:11:09 | 0:11:14
# There are beaches so unique, I've got to speak about and teach ya | 0:11:16 | 0:11:20
# Every beach is different with its own special features | 0:11:20 | 0:11:24
# Beaches in Bermuda are pink, how terrific! | 0:11:24 | 0:11:27

# Sand is super special and it's useful stuff | 0:11:31 | 0:11:34
# Like for sandpaper when you smooth down something rough | 0:11:34 | 0:11:37
# There's so much sand, you couldn't count it if you tried | 0:11:37 | 0:11:41
# But not as many grains as there are stars in the sky | 0:11:41 | 0:11:44

We're enjoying a walk along the sand with our animal friends. | 0:11:57 | 0:12:01

Fifi. And what does Fifi feel like? | 0:12:05 | 0:12:07
Fifi feels very soft and fluffy. | 0:12:07 | 0:12:10
And she is almost as cuddly as a toy. | 0:12:10 | 0:12:14
-Alfie, what's your donkey called? -He's called Paddy. | 0:12:14 | 0:12:18

-That he has funny hooves. -Funny hooves. | 0:12:21 | 0:12:23
Yeah, the things that protect their feet. | 0:12:23 | 0:12:26
Both of you, do you think you can give me a donkey impression? | 0:12:26 | 0:12:30
-Ready? Three, two, one... ALL: -Eeyore! | 0:12:30 | 0:12:32
Brilliant! | 0:12:32 | 0:12:34

-# The Let's Go Club. # -Let's go! | 0:13:18 | 0:13:21
I love making sandcastles. | 0:13:24 | 0:13:27
But have you ever seen a colourful sandcastle? | 0:13:27 | 0:13:31
Well, in today's Quick Trick, I'm going to show you how to make one. | 0:13:31 | 0:13:35
For this Quick Trick, you will need... | 0:13:35 | 0:13:38
some small buckets, food colouring | 0:13:38 | 0:13:41
and a big bucket and spade to build the castle. | 0:13:41 | 0:13:44
First, fill some buckets with sand | 0:13:44 | 0:13:46
and add the food colouring, | 0:13:46 | 0:13:48
one colour in each bucket. | 0:13:48 | 0:13:50
Food colouring can stain so you could wear some old clothes. | 0:13:50 | 0:13:54
Now it's mixing time. | 0:13:54 | 0:13:55
Keep mixing until the sand gets nice and colourful. | 0:13:55 | 0:13:59
When you've got your different coloured sand, | 0:14:00 | 0:14:03
it's time to make your sandcastle. | 0:14:03 | 0:14:06
Put some of the coloured sand in the big bucket. | 0:14:06 | 0:14:10
Shake the bucket to keep the sand even. | 0:14:10 | 0:14:13
Then add a different colour. | 0:14:13 | 0:14:15
And keep adding different coloured sand until your bucket is full. | 0:14:15 | 0:14:20
Now find a flat bit of sand and turn your bucket over. | 0:14:20 | 0:14:25
Let's see if it worked. | 0:14:25 | 0:14:28
Ta-dah! There you have it, a colourful sandcastle. | 0:14:32 | 0:14:35
If you've got loads of food colouring, | 0:14:35 | 0:14:38
you could even make a super sandcastle. | 0:14:38 | 0:14:41
Why don't you give it a go? And send us a photo to the Let's Go Club. | 0:14:41 | 0:14:45
Now, it's not just sandcastles you can make on the beach. | 0:14:45 | 0:14:49
These Let's Goers have been making some very special art. | 0:14:49 | 0:14:54

We found lots of different things to make a big picture. | 0:15:17 | 0:15:20
We're going to have to find much, much more, | 0:15:20 | 0:15:23
so our friends are here to help. | 0:15:23 | 0:15:25
Let's get finding! | 0:15:25 | 0:15:28
I found some seaweed. | 0:15:34 | 0:15:36
I got a plastic bottle. | 0:15:36 | 0:15:38
This rope is really handy too. | 0:15:38 | 0:15:41
There's lots of things to find on the beach, like pebbles, | 0:15:43 | 0:15:48
driftwood, shells and sometimes plastic bottles. | 0:15:48 | 0:15:52
We've got all the things we need to make the picture. | 0:15:52 | 0:15:56
Now it's time to get creative! | 0:15:56 | 0:16:00
The seaweed is working really well in our picture. | 0:16:00 | 0:16:03
The rope and the bottles need to go here. | 0:16:03 | 0:16:06
We're nearly finished. | 0:16:10 | 0:16:12
And once we're done, we'll get shipshape and recycle what we can. | 0:16:12 | 0:16:17
Can you see what it is? | 0:16:18 | 0:16:20
We made a boat out of things that you find at the seaside. | 0:16:26 | 0:16:30
We like to go to the seaside, so we did this. | 0:16:34 | 0:16:38
Let's go! | 0:16:42 | 0:16:44
It's time for the Club Dance. | 0:16:44 | 0:16:46
