Today in the clubhouse, we're getting into the Christmas spirit.

There's frosty fun with some speedy, spinning, ice-cool skaters.

Let's Goer Freya strikes up a festive tune

with her brass band buddies.

And we'll be tearing up the tinsel with this no-cut Christmas card.

Hello, I'm Freya and I'm nine years old.

I really like clogdancing with my mum.

I also like playing sports.

I've won 30 medals.

CHEERING

Boom!

But there's one thing I love more than anything else -

brass band music!

PLAYS: Jingle Bells

To play the cornet, you have to blow into the mouthpiece.

To make different sounds, you have to press down the valves, like this.

However, I don't just practise at home by myself.

I also get to practise and play with my school friends.

I have band rehearsals twice a week every week. It's so much fun.

Our teachers help us learn new songs

and we get to perform in lots of competitions.

We also like to perform for the local community.

The only thing better than playing music

is playing music with your best friends.

I'm Freya, and this is what I do.

Whoa, Freya, your brass band was brilliant.

Such rich, warm-sounding music.

In fact, it reminded me of a joke.

What do you use to mend a broken trumpet?

A TUBA glue!

Anyway, we're going to play a wintry game now. It's very cool.

In fact, it's freezing cold.

Look at these ice-cool skaters.

You've got mini-Kirsten,

mini-Joanna and mini-Martin.

And here's how you can make your own. You will need -

A strip of tinfoil, a large lollipop stick,

some felt-tip pens,

a teaspoon, and a plastic cup filled with a little bit of water.

Once you've got all that,

you have to draw a little character on your lollipop stick.

And what I'm going to do is, I'm going to draw a little face

just like mine.

There's my eyes and here's my little smile.

Now, what's important is that you have to leave a gap

at the bottom of your lollipop stick

so that it looks like your character is skating.

Now, once you've done that, you have to take your cup of water,

just like this, and your tinfoil.

Put it on top of your cup and wrap it around to secure it,

just like that.

Once you've done that, you take your teaspoon

and then you pierce a hole in the middle of your tinfoil,

and this is so your little character

can easily go inside, just like that.

And then, once you've done that, it's time to put your ice-cool

dancer in the freezer and leave it in overnight.

Now, it's pretty cold,

so make sure you ask an adult to help you out with it.

OK, now that they're done, I'm going to have to try

and find some friends to try them out.

Come on, Joanna and Kirsten, we know you're dying to. Come on.

We're going to get fantastically festive now.

It's the Let's Go Club no-cut Christmas card!

So for this, you're going to need some coloured card or paper,

a glue stick and a felt-tip pen.

And the best thing about this make is we don't need any scissors!

You're going to need a piece of red card

and you're going to fold it in half, like this.

Well done. Press it down really hard.

And then fold it in half again the other way.

Then you open it up and then I want you to put sticky glue

all over one half of it so it's really sticky. Go!

Then when you've done that, you can fold your card back together

and press down really, really firmly,

and it makes your card nice and sturdy.

Now it's time for my favourite bit - decorating.

And for this, we're going to do lots and lots of tearing.

So first, we're going to rip a big piece of our pink paper

Lovely. Very nice.

Then we're going to glue them down,

right in the middle of our Christmas card, OK?

Good stuff. Now, this is going to be Father Christmas's face.

So let's rip off the extra bits.

Now, Lacey, what's your favourite thing about Father Christmas?

-He gives us presents.

-He does give us presents.

So, now we're going to rip an even bigger piece of white paper

to make Father Christmas's beard.

And when we glue it down, we need to make sure there's still some

pink showing because we need to see Father Christmas's face, don't we?

Last of all, you need to draw two little eyes

and a nose on Father Christmas's pink face.

And then a big smile on his beard.

And that's your no-cut Christmas card done.

But if you think that's a bit of a doddle

there is a way to make it a little bit more festive.

Oh! That's really got me into the festive spirit.

When they're done with their elphabet,

I wonder if they put the Christmas decorations to good use,

like Let's Goers Reeve and her friends did?

Hi, I'm Reeve and these are my friends,

Liam, Tamira, Ava and Barker.

We love exploring outside and making homes for animals,

birds and creepy crawlies.

We are going to recycle Christmas trees

and use them in our school garden.

We're going to use this Christmas tree to make a fish hub. Let's go!

First, we have to chop the tree into little bits.

We are using long sticks to push the branches to the bottom.

The tree makes a shelter and attracts insects,

which make yummy snacks for the fish.

Now we've made the fish hub, let's see what else we can do.

Now we're going to replant this Christmas tree

and decorate it with yummy snacks for the birds.

Now we have made a new home for this tree, let's add the snacks.

It's like decorating a Christmas tree.

But instead of baubles, we're using fruit.

It's like a Christmas tree for the birds.

Even this old Christmas tree can be recycled.

We have to take off the dead needles to make something called mulch.

Mulch helps to keep the soil wet and stops the plants from drying out.

We love recycling and helping nature, so we did this.

What a fantastic lot of Christmas recycling.
