an incredibly helpful hound.

-Hello, my name's Lucy.

-And I'm Katie.

-BOTH:

-We're sisters!

We love dancing together.

And we really like to see who can jump the highest on the trampoline.

Lucy likes playing with her dolls.

I like doing arts and crafts.

We've got a dog called Gunner.

Gunner!

Gunner is an assistance dog.

-Go and get it, Gunner.

-He helps Lucy every day.

Lucy has autism.

Sometimes, Lucy forgets how to stay safe, especially near roads,

because there are a lot of things going on around her.

Flashing lights...

..cars and different noises can sometimes upset Lucy

and cause her to run off.

That's why she has an assistance dog.

Gunner, wait. When Lucy blows the whistle three times...

WHISTLE BLOWS

..Gunner can start eating.

Sit. Good boy.

Before we go out, Gunner has to put on a special jacket

so everyone knows he is a working dog.

When Gunner is working,

he always listens to Mum and does what she tells him.

Gunner, up.

Good boy.

Gunner, come. Good boy.

Before we walk into school, Mum puts a belt around Lucy, which is

attached to Gunner.

Being attached to Gunner keeps Lucy safe because

he stops her from running off.

-Hello, Lucy.

-Hello, Mrs Hitchens.

Let's take your belt off.

-Let's go on in.

-There you go, see you soon. Bye-bye.

-Hey! Did you have a good day?

-Yeah!

-Good!

After school, sometimes we go to the park.

Find left.

Good boy.

Gunner, step up.

Good boy. Forward.

With Gunner, Lucy is safe near the road,

as he is trained to stop two arm's lengths away from the kerb.

Good boy.

Forwards.

Gunner keeps Lucy safe by stopping her from running off

and keeping her calm.

When Gunner has his jacket on, he is a working dog.

When he doesn't, he is a pet and is free to play.

Good boy, go free.

Here at the park, we are away from cars and the road,

so we can play with Gunner.

We're Katie and Lucy and this is what we do.

He really does have some skills that are super.

Speaking of which, it's super skill time,

and today we're going to be doing contact juggling.

Take it away, Eddie.

Wow! Wasn't that brilliant?

-Yeah, of course.

-Right, guys, I've got some balls. Here you go.

There you go. Right, what's the first thing we need to do?

OK, you want to put the ball on your elbow here, tilt your arm

slightly down, let go and try and catch in your hand so it rolls.

Well done, William, that was brilliant! What else can we do?

You can roll it the other way as well,

so from your hand to your elbow, and try and catch here.

Let's try that one. OK, hand...

You nearly got that. That was perfect.

Now, did you guys have some questions for Eddie?

Why did you start juggling?

Well, I saw other people juggling and I thought it looked like

a lot of fun and I tried it and it was a lot of fun!

Brilliant. Bobbie, did you want to ask a question?

-How did you get so good at juggling?

-Oh, lots and lots of practice!

-Hundreds of hours! Maybe thousands.

-Thousands of hours!

That's a lot of practising! What about you, Lorna?

Can you juggle with anything else?

-I can juggle with balls, clubs and rings and even fire.

-Fire! Wow!

Now, you guys looked like you were really getting it,

so keep practising and thank you for showing us your super skill, Eddie.

Now, I love super-skilling, but I also love fact-finding like this.

# The Let's Go Club. #

Let's go!

First up, traffic lights were used before cars were even invented!

Let's shed more light on this.

The first traffic light was used outside Houses of Parliament in

London to tell horse-drawn carriages when to stop and when to go.

The only problem was that the light was powered by gas,

and eventually, it exploded!

Wow! That fact just blew my mind!

Next, there's a type of mosquito that lives in

the London Underground. I think we need to dig deeper.

The mosquitoes have set up home in the busy train tunnels,

because they like the warm and damp conditions underground.

But mosquitoes aren't the only animals that call the Tube

home, sweet home. Mice, foxes and even tortoises

are all deep-down neighbours.

It's hard to keep track of all those animals.

All aboard! Next stop, fact number three.

The first explorers to travel by hot-air balloon were a sheep,

a cockerel and a duck. No, I'm not quackers!

This brave bunch went up,

up and away in a balloon test flight that lasted 10 minutes.

A duck was chosen because it was used to flying high,

a cockerel because it couldn't fly away, and a sheep

because it was the most like a person.

Now that's un-baa-lievable!

And finally, there was once a traffic jam

so long that people were stuck in it for 12 days.

Now that's a hold-up you'd want to steer clear of!

This bumper-to-bumper gridlock happened in China because there

were too many roadworks and lots of cars and lorries breaking down.

People who lived nearby helped stranded drivers by selling them

food and drinks. A do-it-yourself drive-through.

I wonder if they sold traffic jam sandwiches?!

Fact!

What fab fact! I could do with a bit of traffic jam

to put on my mid-morning snack. But what colour to go for?

Red raspberry, green gooseberries or purple plum?

Well, take a look at my spruced-up snack. It's rainbow toast!

How boss is that? I tell you what,

I'll show you exactly how to make this bright bite.

It's quick tip time.

So the first thing we need to do is make sure we wash our hands.

We're using food colouring, so make sure you wear

an apron, because it can stain your clothes.

I've got my bread, my clean pastry brush and I've

mixed some food colouring with milk in my beakers to make my rainbow.

All I have to do is get painting.

I think I'm going to start with pink. Look at that!

Straight away, it's changed colour. It looks brilliant.

Nice, bright orange now.

That looks so cool!

And I'm just rinsing my brush in between the colours

so they don't all mix together.

I'll go for some yellow.

Wow! Look how bright that is. One more to go.

My favourite colour, blue.

And there you have it, rainbow toast!

And when you've finished your design,

ask a grown-up to pop it in the toaster for you.

Today, we're with Justin and his friend Harmony,

who are at a wildlife park.

They're meeting some special animals

-and finding out what they like to eat.

-Like these Gelada monkeys.

They come from Africa, which is a long way away.

Gelada monkeys like the fruits and vegetables.

Their favourites are apples and carrots.

Ooh-ooh-ah-ah!

-Hello! Good to see you!

-Hello, Justin, hello, Harmony.

What are you doing right now?

We're filming the new series of Something Special, aren't we? Yeah!

And we're at the wildlife park today seeing lots of animals.

What's the best thing about making new friends?

Well, we're very lucky,

because when we film, we meet lots of new friends like Harmony.
