I'm being pulled from A-Troupe.

I say James leaves for two weeks and brings up the grades.

I just want to get out of there.

I'm bothered by them getting along but I don't know why.

You don't include anyone's ideas.

So, what? I don't include people's moves? They're not good moves.

You took my friends and stole my spot as dance captain.

and I won't hear any complaints out of you.

With Michelle as the new dance captain,

everything is about teamwork and it's about the team.

This is just so different from what Emily was like.

I'm the only person in A-Troupe

that knows about Chloe's financial problems.

So when I have to leave Michelle is really understanding

and really sweet about letting me go.

When I see Michelle letting Chloe go early, I mean,

it just goes to show how irresponsible Michelle is

as a dance captain.

I'm flabbergasted.

I'm kind of frustrated with Emily.

I just think she's being a drama queen.

Regionals is coming up. We've got to be ready.

We can't have one person at the back being sad.

I think Michelle's moves are completely

inadequate for the level of A-Troupe.

I'm not going to stand here and do something that I don't think

is to the level of my previous captaincy.

How are they ridiculous? We made them up as a team.

Emily has been really hard on Michelle for a long time

and I don't think Michelle deserves all of it.

Eldon defending me is really sweet, actually.

I didn't expect him to do that.

So I guess I'm not part of this team.

Kate notices that Emily's not trying at all and right now,

I think that she's going to get in a little bit of trouble.

Finally Emily is going to get a little talking to

and maybe get what she deserves.

I'm not going to sugar coat this, Emily.

You've just lost your dance captaincy. I know it's a huge deal.

'I feel strange not having Emily as dance captain.

'I mean, she's been my right hand woman for so long'

and I thought she was doing a great job.

Was I that bad at being a dance captain?

Emily, don't even say that. You were phenomenal. That's why I chose you.

Why couldn't you stick to that choice?

Why did you let them vote, Ms Kate?

-I know that we've worked so hard for so long...

But everyone still needs you to contribute

and to be apart of the team and to help guide them.

'I absolutely feel for Emily. Her world has been rocked'

and I want to help her out as much as I can, give her guidance.

You don't have a clue what I'm feeling right now.

-Emily, you know I was dance captain once.

-Did you know that I lost my dance captaincy?

What happened?

I injured myself really badly before competition.

Lost my spot in the line, lost my captaincy,

everything I had known just pulled out from under my feet.

That's a little different. The whole team didn't vote against you.

But both of us, we've both had it snatched out from us, you know?

Just like that.

I know it's tough, but this is what it comes down to -

you have to decide if you're going to focus on you

and all this hurt and pain

and frustration that you're going through,

or if you're going to focus on the team

and what the team needs.

'Hearing Ms Kate talk like this'

makes me wonder if I even belong in A-Troupe anymore.

I'll think about it,

but I honestly don't know if I can do this.

'She's just been completely mortified.'

So it's going to take her a long time to come back from that

'and hopefully she will.'

I have been studying like crazy at all of this math stuff.

I walked in with posters

and a big, stupid poem that turned out just like a joke.

Why can't you just take one little chance and embarrass yourself?

'I'm really, like, surprised and shocked'

that she said that because she's the dance captain

and she should be able to do them.

Do you ever wonder why I choreograph my dances the way I do?

Look, I know they're not good

but those are the only moves I can do.

That's why I never take any suggestions from other people.

I confessed to Eldon because no matter what I do

or what I say, Eldon is constantly by my side,

and I trust him.

It's the best feeling having someone believe in you like that.

Like someone believes that you will get it, no matter what.

and it's great. It's an amazing feeling.

Um, I was just thinking that maybe B-Troupe could step it up.

-Step it up, what do you mean by stepping it up?

to be with dancers that aren't at the same level.

I need to get out of B-Troupe.

-So I thought maybe we could add lifts.

-Lifts?

-Yeah.

-B-Troupe? Lifts?

-Yeah, lifts. Like maybe even the helicopter.

Helico... Wow! You're ready for the helicopter,

but I'm not sure if B-Troupe is ready for that yet.

Chris doesn't think B-Troupe's ready for the helicopter lift.

He's probably right.

-How about we go take a talk to them and we can go from there?

Uh, I just wanted to talk to you about switching up

the positioning of the dancers in my routine.

That's something Emily never would have done.

Um, it shows a lot of initiative,

but also that she still respects my opinion

and sees me as the big boss.

Yeah, just to mix up the lines a little bit.

I feel like they've been in the same lines for a really long time.

-Sure.

-I'm going to make sure that the best dancers are in the front.

I'm not going to be biased.

Working on Michelle's routine is tough

but there's also a drive in me because it's her routine

and because I want to master it.

Yeah. Boom, boom, boom, and then right, left. Left.

I don't want to even master it,

I want to be the best at it and prove that I can do this.

-My hands don't move like that.

Everyone's hands move like that.

We've found kind of like a level of our relationship where

she kind of respects me more,

so she's not being this, like, control freak.

She's just kind of letting me teach her and it's easy to work with her.

-And 3, and 4...

He's great, he's funny and smart and he's kind of cute.

It's the best feeling in the world. It's amazing.

Guys, I've made a decision to change up the lines

a little bit in the routine.

I'm going to need you guys to re-audition for your placement.

OK, so we're going to start warm-up.

I'm excited to be re-auditioning.

There's other people that are able to be in the front row

instead of just the E-Girls.

That's ridiculous that she's going to make us re-audition

for the lines. Like, who does that?

I dunno, we should probably just warm-up.

No shot.

-What are you doing?

-I'm not re-auditioning for our lines.

This is just obviously another way for Michelle to humiliate us.

Whether me and you audition or not, we're going to be in the back row.

I'm just not going to waste my time.

-So you're just going to leave?

When Stephanie leaves,

obviously the thought of leaving with her crosses my mind,

but I can't do it. It is the team I grew up with,

and I want to keep dancing at The Next Step.

Wait. Where are you going?

Class just started.

I have something to do.

So, you have something better to do than take dance class?

Yeah. I have a huge commercial audition coming up that

I need to be prepared for.

I'd rather spend my time doing

something for myself rather than waste my time

auditioning for something that's not going to work out.

You can't just leave.

Really? Because you let Chloe leave all the time.

I'm so embarrassed. Nobody knows what it's like for me at home,

and I haven't told anyone besides Michelle about my job.

For her to just think that I'm not serious about dance,

and that I'm just leaving for no reason is really hurtful.

'We're just about to start the auditions

'and she just picks up her bag and leaves.

'That's really disrespectful.'

I want to change up the dance positions because I feel like

everyone's always in the same positions

and it's getting boring so I just want to switch it up a little bit.

Watching Eldon dance is really something, and I always have

loved to watch him dance but now knowing him more,

it's like the Eldon I've come to care about, I guess.

It's a beautiful thing. He's a stunning dancer.

As I watch Eldon dance, I'm really impressed.

He's so sharp and precise. I'm really enjoying his routine.

Uh, Emily's turn.

'I feel like this is Emily's chance to really show

'that she's been working really hard and I've been helping her out

'and I feel like she's really ready'

to show everyone that she's got what it takes.

I just want everyone to see how hard I've been working.

She's actually giving it her all. I'm so proud of her

for accepting Michelle as a dance captain and trying to get the moves.

Generally, the weaker dancers do get put in the back

and the ones who are the stars that shine are in the front.

Are we sure we want to do this?

-Yeah.

-I've worked out all the combos and that's what works.

I'll get front row. I'm confident in myself.

'I'm not sure where I place.

'I know I'm not back row but I'm pretty confident in second row'

and I think I'd be happy there.

All right, dancers, listen up!

The final decision has been made and we have our new lines.

It's the big Regionals number and I'm right in the front row.

So it feels great.

In the middle line we have Chloe, Riley, Tiffany, and James.

And in the last line,

we have West, Stephanie, and Emily.

'I'm bummed about my line position,'

but now I know how much work I need to get to the front row

and this just motivates me.

I worked so hard and I feel that I did better

than being in the back row...

And remember, it doesn't matter what position you are,

we can see you at all times,

-so make sure you're always at 100%, OK?

Exactly. We're only as strong as our weakest member.

I do feel a little odd being in a row

above my sister because she's always been in front of me.

It's not quite the front but at least I'm not in the back!

Finally, somebody has noticed my hard work and has put me in a spot

I know I deserve.

I find the dance-placement line-up...interesting.

It's definitely a direction that we haven't gone in before.

I'm confident that we're going to win Regionals.
