Hello, everybody. I'm excited about today's treasure.

It's wisdom, which means using what we know, or what we learn,

to make a good choice.

Kari and I have been very wise.

Because we've made a brilliant choice to go on a minibeast hunt.

Wahey!

Kari, you're not being wise now. You have to be quieter.

Remember what happened last time.

Oh, yes, I shouted and gave the minibeasts a bit of a fright.

-WHISPERS:

I'm very wise and know everything about minibeasts.

Barry, it's that way, remember?

Wisdom means always making the right decisions.

Being wise helps you to be safe.

If I work hard and listen to my teacher, that will make me wise.

It's good to be wise because you can share your knowledge.

My dad is really wise because he reads a lot.

It's good to be wise because if you don't listen,

you might hurt yourself.

I was wise when my bike broke and the gears came off, but I fixed it.

You can become wise by learning off other people.

I think my mummy's wise because she taught me how to swim.

It's good to be wise because if you're really clever

and try your best, you'll get a really good job.

Hmm, that didn't go very well.

This puddle is deeper than I thought.

And we scared it with all our noise.

-WHISPERS:

Barry, look!

LOUDLY: Hello, minibeast!

SPLASH! Oh.

Why did you shout and run through the puddle again

without thinking, Barry? You know what happened last time.

Sorry. I was so excited about the minibeast.

But it wasn't a very wise thing to do.

-Are you feeling a bit foolish now?

-Yes, and wet.

Two minibeasts!

Now, we have to take the time to think carefully in order to be wise

rather than jump at the first idea that comes into our heads.

Let's go around the puddle.

Wisdom feels great.

It certainly feels drier.

And tickly!

-Ha-ha-ha!

-Ha-ha-ha!

Today's treasure story is... Ha-ha!

..is about a Treasure Champ who made... Ha-ha!

..a very wise choice.

Hi, I'm Krissi, and this is the fantastic story of the wise

and the foolish builder.

There were once two builders, each building a house.

How exciting, building a nice new house.

There were lots of choices to make. What should it look like?

What should it be built out of?

And most importantly, where should they build it?

Hmm.

Now, one of the builders was foolish.

They didn't take time to plan or think about what they'd done wrong

when they built houses in the past.

In fact, they didn't do much thinking at all.

They just wanted to build their house as quickly as possible.

Oh, that looks like a fun place.

I'm going to build my house down there on the sand.

It's nice and soft and it's a great sea view.

But the other builder was wise.

They stopped and thought long and hard

about the best place to build their house.

I'm going to build a good, strong house out of

good, strong things right here in this good, strong place.

So, whilst the foolish builder built their house

as quickly as possible...

..the wise builder took plenty of time to build their house

so that everything was spot on.

This is taking a long time and it's very hard work,

but it will be worth it in the end.

Argh!

SEAGULLS CRY

The foolish builder finished the house in the sand very quickly.

But that wasn't a good thing -

they hadn't taken the time to build it properly,

so it wasn't very strong.

And then the tide came in,

and the wind blew and the rain came down.

WIND HOWLS

Can you guess what happened next?

The foolish builder hasn't thought about where to build his house

and so down it fell.

Meanwhile, the wise builder had finished and was happy

because even though they'd had to work very hard,

they had a lovely house that was safe and strong.

This story is from the Bible and was told by Jesus.

Hi, I'm Poppy, and I love making pottery.

Today I'm at a pottery studio with my grandad.

There you are, Poppy, use that to stick it on.

I've made lots of pretty rock pool dishes before.

Today I'm making another one.

-Oh, that's really good, Poppy.

-Thank you.

Would you like me to teach you something

a bit more difficult on the potter's wheel?

Yes, please.

Grandad has been making pottery for a lot longer than me,

so he's more experienced.

Right, we'll get you some clay.

Make it into a ball.

That's fine.

Now, you throw it as near to the centre of the wheel as you can.

That's it. Right, now, wet your hands.

And what you're going to do now is get

the clay into the centre of the wheel.

Now, this is a very hard part.

Squeeze the clay towards the middle.

Using the pottery wheel is more difficult than it looks.

It looks like she's having trouble figuring this out.

When you don't know what to do,

it's good to find someone else who can help.

That's not quite in the centre,

so I'll try and just get it a bit nearer for you.

Older people often have wisdom

because they've learnt how to do things we haven't.

I think I've got the hang of it now.

I'm glad I've got Grandad here to help me.

And what you do now, put that hand on this side

and your finger in the middle. Nice, even pressure.

Nice and steady, don't go too fast. And pull the clay towards you.

Try and make nd another. Bowl. That's it.

And you see the bowl starting to form now.

What we've got to do now is take that off and put it in a kiln,

which is a big oven that gets to very high temperatures.

You see that one at the end of the shelf?

That's what yours will look like when it comes out of the kiln.

I love spending time with Grandad,

especially when he's passing on his wisdom.

Hey, guys, welcome to the maze. Would you each like maze maps?

Hi, I'm Erin.

These are my friends, Austin and Rachel.

Today we have come to explore a maze with my dad.

A maze is like a giant puzzle of paths

and hedges that you have to find your way through.

OK, there's eight checkpoints all throughout the maze.

The aim of the game is to stamp on the back of your maps.

I'll give you a flag there. That's to wave in case you get lost.

The entrance is just through there. And good luck, have fun.

Wow, the maze is huge!

-Let's go this way.

-I hope we don't get lost.

Oh, Dad, it's a dead end.

Right, let's have a look at the map, then.

I think we need to go this way. Come on, let's go.

Yay, we found a stamp!

Look, that fell over.

This looks fun, but very tricky.

They're going to have to use their wisdom.

How will they know which way to go?

-We need to turn around.

-Have we already been this way?

Look, they remembered what they did last time.

Oh, that's very wise.

We've got to go round this way.

Finding our way through the maze is trickier than I thought

it was going to be.

We found it!

-Hey, everybody, how many more stamps have we got to get?

-Just one.

Just one? Hey, that's great.

Oh, look, it's over there.

-Hooray!

-Hooray!

-Oh, congratulations, guys. Did you get all of them?

-Yes.

-Yes.

Great problem-solving.

I'm really proud we worked out how to get to the end of the maze.

Wow, you Treasure Champs are so wise.

Right, let's put the minibeasts back where they belong.
