How residents of a picturesque village fought back against a knife | :00:16. | :00:26.
:00:26. | :00:45. | ||
live every day for the next month, helping track the everyday crime | :00:45. | :00:52.
that affect us all. On the programme today: The one that got away. Police | :00:52. | :00:57.
need your help to track down a dangerous armed robber. A single | :00:57. | :01:01.
punch over a taxi queue row which left a young man fighting for his | :01:01. | :01:08.
life full is not cracking down on the drug dealers, police make the | :01:08. | :01:16.
shocking discovery of hundreds of needles amongst children's toys. The | :01:16. | :01:20.
roadshow team is still out and about, and today is their last day | :01:20. | :01:28.
with South Wales Police. What is going on? Today I'm in a garden | :01:28. | :01:33.
centre at the foot of the South Wales Valleys. The reason I'm here | :01:33. | :01:39.
is garden crime. If it is not tied down, thieves will run off with it. | :01:39. | :01:44.
Everything from garden gnomes to pot plants to hanging baskets. They are | :01:44. | :01:48.
all at risk. In this area there has been a spate of thefts of paving | :01:48. | :01:55.
slabs from the museum, from People's patios, and from their drives. | :01:55. | :02:05.
First, across the River Taff, in the shadow of this picturesque scene, | :02:05. | :02:11.
lies the local village where they did not tolerate bad behaviour. | :02:11. | :02:20.
the shadow of a fairytale castle lies this picturesque village. It is | :02:20. | :02:25.
a tight-knit community and they like to look after each other. Peter | :02:25. | :02:28.
brain and his father have been running the post office here for | :02:28. | :02:36.
more than 20 years. They are part of the family. They never expected to | :02:36. | :02:42.
be the victims of a serious crime. Things changed one freezing January | :02:42. | :02:46.
morning as Peter was opening the post office. He had no idea he was | :02:46. | :02:50.
being watched from across the street. An unknown man had been | :02:50. | :02:54.
hanging around the area for some time and had been noticed by | :02:54. | :03:03.
witnesses because of his unusual genes. (, came in, close the door, | :03:03. | :03:12.
just as I was about to set the alarm, the door was barged open. | :03:12. | :03:17.
Peter was face-to-face with a mass robber, and he was armed. He said he | :03:17. | :03:23.
had a knife and he would use it. Peter had not had time to turn off | :03:23. | :03:33.
:03:33. | :03:34. | ||
the alarm. It panicked him, he was not prepared for that. Fortunately I | :03:34. | :03:44.
:03:44. | :03:45. | ||
had not unset it or things could have been difficult. He said a | :03:45. | :03:51.
couple of times he would use the knife. He did nothing for a while, | :03:51. | :04:00.
got frustrated. Refusing to give the thief any money, Peter reached for | :04:00. | :04:08.
his own wallet. He grabbed the wallet, and I grabbed it back off | :04:08. | :04:17.
him. I was not going to let him take it off me. As Peter fought inside, | :04:17. | :04:22.
some local women heard the alarm going off, sprang into action and | :04:22. | :04:28.
rang the police. They fought to keep the robber inside. Eventually the | :04:28. | :04:36.
women were overpowered. Then another villager appeared on the scene. | :04:36. | :04:43.
saw a black figure running out of the post office, being hit over the | :04:43. | :04:51.
head by a lady who I knew, he was dressed very darkly, all in black, | :04:51. | :04:55.
and his face was completely obscured. It was blatantly obvious | :04:55. | :05:05.
that there had been a robbery. I stuck my Lego, I kicked his one leg | :05:05. | :05:12.
behind him to bring him down. didn't stop this be for long. | :05:12. | :05:18.
split second, he was running away. John did not give up, and gave | :05:18. | :05:27.
chase. Another local, pensioner got involved. The local village chap hit | :05:27. | :05:31.
him with his walking stick. Unfortunately he thought I was | :05:31. | :05:39.
involved so he hit me as well. I lost my footing, it was very wet. | :05:39. | :05:43.
The thief took advantage of the slippery road and made off down the | :05:43. | :05:48.
hill. This was the last time he was seen. I realised he was already | :05:48. | :05:53.
gaining on me. He was considerably younger than me. There was no way I | :05:53. | :05:59.
was going to catch him. That in the post office, Peter was coming to | :05:59. | :06:06.
terms with what had just happened. very violent crime, despicable, and | :06:06. | :06:11.
has had a very big effect on Peter. The police would appeal for people | :06:11. | :06:17.
not to get involved, for their own safety. If somebody is threatening | :06:17. | :06:24.
them, do not get involved and put yourself in that situation. Anybody | :06:24. | :06:28.
else would have done the same. was a violent incident. A meal with | :06:28. | :06:36.
a knife demanding money. He was obviously desperate. We are anxious | :06:36. | :06:41.
to identify this person. -- a man with a knife. It's important that he | :06:41. | :06:46.
gets caught. He could do it again. It might be your neighbour next | :06:46. | :06:52.
time, your friend, your relative. He needs to be stopped. It was an armed | :06:52. | :06:57.
robbery, pure and simple. Somebody could have been hurt. Peter is back | :06:57. | :07:02.
at work with his father. They have installed security measures to | :07:02. | :07:08.
prevent this type of crime from happening again. The community have | :07:08. | :07:12.
shown once more just how committed they are to looking after their own. | :07:12. | :07:22.
I'm joined by Detective Sergeant Christine Cullen, leading the hunt | :07:22. | :07:29.
for this man. He needs to be cot, doesn't he? He does. He needs to be | :07:29. | :07:36.
brought to justice. He was seen hanging around for quite some time | :07:36. | :07:44.
on that day, January 31. There were a number of witnesses saw him | :07:44. | :07:49.
hanging around the village. He was in the bus stop. When the postmaster | :07:49. | :07:54.
was parking his vehicle, he moved there. He obviously knew who he was | :07:54. | :07:59.
looking for and spent a lot of time beforehand. You have any clues?Yes, | :07:59. | :08:08.
we have the CCTV. Although he was disguising his appearance, he was | :08:08. | :08:14.
wearing very distinctive trousers, which were paint splattered. We are | :08:14. | :08:19.
looking for somebody who might recognise that clothing. Thank you. | :08:19. | :08:23.
If you were there on January the 31st and you saw anyone hanging | :08:23. | :08:25.
around wearing paint splattered trousers, you know the number to | :08:25. | :08:35.
call. Now it's your chance to identify some more criminals | :08:35. | :08:43.
captured on CCTV. And masked man enters this south then shop and | :08:43. | :08:48.
heads for the till, pushing to customers out of the way. He | :08:48. | :08:51.
threatened the shopkeeper with a knife and starts throwing cigarettes | :08:51. | :08:59.
into a black bag. He is so keen to get its hands on those cigarettes, | :08:59. | :09:04.
he puts his knife down on the counter. The shop assistant is so | :09:04. | :09:09.
scared he cannot open the till. The offender tries to yank the till open | :09:09. | :09:14.
but does not get anywhere. He makes a final grabbed at some cigarettes | :09:14. | :09:21.
instead. The police have been alerted and arrive at the shop. The | :09:21. | :09:24.
armed robber is making his getaway. They collide as he sprints out and | :09:24. | :09:34.
:09:34. | :09:41. | ||
one is knocked over. Do you know at the end of the year. This person | :09:41. | :09:46.
has been playing on the machines. Something must have upset him. He | :09:46. | :09:50.
grabs the chair. He heads towards the machines. Then he goes for the | :09:50. | :09:57.
big chair. He smashes one machine but does not stop there. He moves on | :09:57. | :10:04.
to the next one, and smashes that one as well. Can down, mate. He | :10:04. | :10:08.
caused a massive 2000 worth of damage. Take a close look at his | :10:08. | :10:18.
:10:18. | :10:26. | ||
face. If you recognise this women are shopping. Or are they? One | :10:26. | :10:29.
of them seems to distract the shop assistant by calling her to the | :10:29. | :10:36.
other side of the shop. Her friend checked the coast is clear, then | :10:36. | :10:43.
leaned over the counter, stealing the smart phone. She may think she | :10:43. | :10:48.
got away with it, but I don't think she spotted the camera. Do you know | :10:48. | :10:55.
her? Give us a call. If you know anything about those crimes, give us | :10:55. | :11:05.
:11:05. | :11:23. | ||
about 7 billion on our gardens. With that kind of money around, | :11:23. | :11:27.
thieves are bound to want to get their hands on it. But it's not just | :11:27. | :11:37.
:11:37. | :11:39. | ||
big money items that are stolen. This couple love their garden. | :11:39. | :11:47.
puts a spring into my step. It is my little utopia. This utopia has some | :11:47. | :11:56.
colourful residents. They are lovingly handmade at home by Denise. | :11:56. | :12:02.
I started to go to classes, that got me interested, then I decided to do | :12:02. | :12:09.
it myself. I bought a little kiln. I've been doing it about 11 years. | :12:09. | :12:13.
But the trouble with any kind of garden ornament that is not nailed | :12:13. | :12:20.
down, they can be stolen. We were going out and you have me why move | :12:20. | :12:28.
the gnomes. We realised they were not there. -- why I had moved. | :12:28. | :12:32.
couple protect their garden with CCTV, and sure enough they find to | :12:32. | :12:39.
visits from a thief. They have been upset by the thefts. People creeping | :12:39. | :12:47.
around, taking your staff, it is the way she walks in, helps herself, it | :12:47. | :12:57.
:12:57. | :12:58. | ||
could be absolutely anything. It just leaves you feeling very better. | :12:58. | :13:03.
It feels the same as a burglary, even though they are and the Barker | :13:03. | :13:08.
-- they are in the garden. Somebody is walking around your garden taking | :13:08. | :13:14.
whatever appeals to them full is not we are looking for someone to find | :13:14. | :13:21.
it. Julian and Denise are upset about this left, and the fact that | :13:21. | :13:24.
someone was prowling around the garden, so please get in touch if | :13:24. | :13:29.
you know anything. All sorts of things go missing from the garden, | :13:29. | :13:34.
take a look at this tree, it is worth 500. That is the same as a | :13:34. | :13:38.
good laptop. We would not leave a laptop hanging around the garden but | :13:38. | :13:44.
with pot plants we do not have a choice. Need to know how we can | :13:44. | :13:53.
protect them. Give us some advice on how to protect our pot plants. | :13:53. | :13:58.
about making it really difficult for the thief to steal. Get heavy pots, | :13:58. | :14:05.
the heavier the better. We have one down here. If you cannot, play some | :14:05. | :14:10.
bricks in the base of the Pops. It makes it really difficult to be | :14:10. | :14:18.
lifted. Bricks and stones. It is not only pots that get taken. People | :14:18. | :14:22.
have been digging up plants and trees from gardens. How do we | :14:22. | :14:32.
:14:32. | :14:34. | ||
protect those? One thing we have got is chicken wire. If you place that | :14:34. | :14:39.
around the base of the plant, it gets pegged down, put the soil and | :14:39. | :14:43.
the compost on top of that. It makes it difficult to take the planned out | :14:43. | :14:52.
of the soil. We have some beautiful hanging baskets here. They would be | :14:52. | :14:59.
easy to steal. Yes, however, another cheap and easy way is to use a cable | :14:59. | :15:04.
tie. Wrap that around the chain or the hook and the brackets and it is | :15:04. | :15:10.
difficult to take off. Some garden centres and stores to sell lockable | :15:10. | :15:20.
:15:20. | :15:23. | ||
hanging baskets. So when we are putting our plants in the garden, we | :15:23. | :15:29.
need to think about them not being stolen, too. | :15:29. | :15:33.
I am joined by DS Peter Knight from Avon and Somerset Police who is | :15:33. | :15:36.
urgently appealing for your help to find a youth who attacked a | :15:36. | :15:43.
12-year-old girl. Tell us what happened. We have a young man who | :15:43. | :15:48.
follows a 12-year-old girl from Bath town centre through the Royal | :15:48. | :15:55.
Victoria Park to the outskirts of town. It is a very long way that he | :15:55. | :16:05.
:16:05. | :16:06. | ||
followed her. Yes, about a mile and a half, we believe. He tried could | :16:06. | :16:12.
-- tried to conceal his identity with his jumper. We have obscured | :16:12. | :16:19.
the girl for obvious reasons, but we get some good shots of him. He is | :16:19. | :16:28.
trying to cover his face, but we do get a clue. Remind me of the date. | :16:28. | :16:38.
:16:38. | :16:45. | ||
her, but what happens away from the camera is pretty nasty, isn't it? | :16:45. | :16:49.
Yes, he followed her to her doorstep, and he sexually assaulted | :16:49. | :16:59.
her on her doorstep. There we go, we get a good shot of his face there. | :16:59. | :17:05.
He is a male, believed of Asian appearance. He, too, is young. We | :17:05. | :17:10.
believe he is a teenager. We have taken the unusual step of releasing | :17:10. | :17:13.
this footage because it is worrying behaviour, and we need to find out | :17:13. | :17:22.
who hears. You have then working with the family on this case, and as | :17:22. | :17:26.
a 12-year-old girl, this has affected her. It is very | :17:26. | :17:34.
frightening. The parents are clearly worried. It is very distinctive | :17:34. | :17:42.
clothing. The lines on his trousers there. Yes, he has a T-shirt and | :17:42. | :17:50.
tracksuit bottoms, and trainers. Seeing these images, hopefully it | :17:50. | :17:53.
will jog something in someone's memory about what happened that day | :17:53. | :18:01.
last June. I hope that this person gets identified. He needs to be | :18:01. | :18:11.
:18:11. | :18:12. | ||
caught. If you know anything, please do get in touch. Still to come: The | :18:12. | :18:22.
:18:22. | :18:23. | ||
young couple's lives shattered by a their doorstep, and last year, | :18:23. | :18:27.
Crimestoppers alone received 50,000 calls from members of the public | :18:27. | :18:33.
keen to report drug dealers. I have been out with police in Bridgend to | :18:33. | :18:43.
:18:43. | :18:45. | ||
suspected drug dealers in the Bridgend area. This is operation | :18:45. | :18:55.
:18:55. | :18:58. | ||
and police are about to give local suspected drug dealers and | :18:58. | :19:05.
early-morning call. There is a big team here, including local offices, | :19:05. | :19:07.
firearms specialist and dog handlers. They have had tipoff from | :19:08. | :19:12.
members of the public, some through Crimestoppers, about drug dealing in | :19:12. | :19:20.
the area. Today they are acting on that information. We are looking to | :19:20. | :19:24.
recover stolen property and drugs. It is full body armour for those | :19:24. | :19:29.
entering the houses first, and they are soon on their way to the first | :19:29. | :19:38.
is no hanging around, and these officers have no intention of using | :19:38. | :19:47.
the doorbell. Police!They need to confirm whether there is anyone in | :19:47. | :19:50.
the house as soon as possible. They don't want to give someone the | :19:50. | :19:56.
opportunity to dispose of drugs or drag a weapon -- grab a weapon. But | :19:56. | :20:01.
there is no one putting up a fight here. The occupant was asleep | :20:01. | :20:05.
upstairs when police smashed through his barricaded door. | :20:05. | :20:10.
The suspect has been dressed and brought down. Now he is going to be | :20:10. | :20:12.
questioned by the officers briefly while they run through some | :20:12. | :20:17.
paperwork with him. The search begins, and officers | :20:17. | :20:23.
checked every inch of the property, the garden and the man's car. No | :20:23. | :20:30.
stone is left unturned. With the search well under way, it is time to | :20:30. | :20:38.
bring in their secret weapon. Murphy is a drug sniffer dog. Murphy is the | :20:38. | :20:43.
police's best chance of discovering illegal drugs during a search. If | :20:43. | :20:53.
:20:53. | :20:58. | ||
there are drugs here, Murphy will here in the bedroom, and the suspect | :20:58. | :21:03.
has told them that he has smoked heroin this morning. Even though the | :21:03. | :21:07.
man has admitted taking heroin, and has previously been given a | :21:07. | :21:09.
five-year sentence for supplying class a drugs, no drugs were found | :21:09. | :21:19.
:21:19. | :21:28. | ||
now could be used to supply class B drugs, cannabis and MCAT. We don't | :21:29. | :21:32.
really know who we are going to find, because a number of people are | :21:32. | :21:42.
:21:42. | :21:51. | ||
person home. She was in the middle of vacuuming the living room. But | :21:51. | :21:55.
does this domestic Goddess have something to hide? Within minutes, | :21:55. | :22:02.
she has told police there are drugs in the house. They set Murphy to | :22:02. | :22:09.
work to confirm the hiding places. He begins upstairs, but nothing is | :22:09. | :22:19.
:22:19. | :22:25. | ||
kitchen, though, as he reacts strongly to something near the oven. | :22:25. | :22:34.
It is a positive find in the vent above the stove. Good boy!As a | :22:34. | :22:38.
reward, Murphy is given a ball to play with. | :22:38. | :22:43.
He has done a good job. That is what we expect of him. He has worked hard | :22:43. | :22:50.
and done a couple of houses now, he realised something was in here. It | :22:50. | :22:53.
is not nice for the dog to walk across the cooker, but there it is. | :22:53. | :23:03.
:23:03. | :23:07. | ||
And before long, the officers find you can smell it as soon as you come | :23:07. | :23:13.
into the kitchen. Yes, as soon as you unwrap it, it is very strong. It | :23:13. | :23:20.
is probably around 100 worth. evidence is tagged up and the woman | :23:20. | :23:24.
arrested on suspicion of dealing in cannabis. Her cleaning will have to | :23:24. | :23:28.
wait until later as she is led away to be questioned at the local police | :23:28. | :23:37.
station. Coming up: We will be back with the | :23:37. | :23:44.
team as they find used needles hidden amongst children's toys. | :23:44. | :23:48.
You have certainly got to stick around to see that. It is truly | :23:48. | :23:56.
unbelievable. It's time for our gallery of Wanted Faces. Our first | :23:56. | :23:59.
Wanted Face today is this man, Ataullah Khan. He was released early | :23:59. | :24:02.
on licence from prison where he'd been serving time for wounding with | :24:02. | :24:05.
intent. But he failed to stick to his licence conditions and is now | :24:05. | :24:08.
wanted back in jail. Khan is 6'1 tall and has links to the Birmingham | :24:08. | :24:12.
and Leicestershire. He also has a scar to the back of his head. Do you | :24:12. | :24:15.
know where Khan is now? Take a close look at this man, | :24:15. | :24:18.
Andrew Stephenson Wilson. He may now be calling himself by another name | :24:18. | :24:21.
as he uses various aliases including Anthony Stephenson Wilson and Lee | :24:21. | :24:24.
Anthony Wilson. He was handed a seven-year sentence in 2004 for a | :24:24. | :24:27.
series of robberies where large sums of money were stolen from | :24:27. | :24:32.
businesses. He was released early on licence but is now wanted back in | :24:32. | :24:36.
jail. He speaks with a northern accent and is known to have links to | :24:37. | :24:46.
:24:47. | :24:48. | ||

heard about the number of One Punch campaign is being run by police | :25:46. | :25:52.
forces across the UK. They are being used to raise awareness of how one | :25:52. | :25:57.
single act of violence can devastate people's lives. Paul Meehan is all | :25:57. | :26:03.
too aware after he was attacked on a night out. | :26:03. | :26:06.
Paul and Laura were just starting out on their lives together, and | :26:06. | :26:10.
they had plans to marry, but all that changed when a single punch | :26:10. | :26:20.
:26:20. | :26:23. | ||
Laura were enjoying a night out with another couple. We had had some | :26:23. | :26:31.
food, and went out. We went to a bar. It was a really good night. | :26:31. | :26:35.
There was a good atmosphere. The two couples had a few drinks, and headed | :26:35. | :26:42.
off to get a cab. It was about one o'clock, and we wanted to get a taxi | :26:43. | :26:47.
home, so we headed to Ashton Gate Street, which is where it all | :26:48. | :26:55.
happened. As they waited, they paid no attention to a group of men | :26:55. | :27:01.
standing just yards away. The girls decided to try their luck flagging | :27:01. | :27:08.
down a cab across the road, leaving Paul and down behind. We had asked | :27:09. | :27:12.
three or four taxis if they were taken is home, but they said they | :27:12. | :27:17.
were booked. I remember having my head right by a taxi, asking him if | :27:17. | :27:23.
he would take us. Paul walked towards the taxi. The group of men | :27:23. | :27:29.
thought they had jumped the queue, and squared up to down. I remember | :27:29. | :27:34.
turning around, and I could see and speaking to a group of lads. It | :27:34. | :27:40.
looked like it was getting a bit heated. The men surrounded Daniel, | :27:40. | :27:45.
making it impossible for him to back off. Suddenly, one of them punched | :27:45. | :27:55.
:27:55. | :27:58. | ||
him. And they weren't finished. Now it was all's turn. It was a loud | :27:58. | :28:04.
quite close to us, and there was a lot of shouting going on. I walked | :28:04. | :28:09.
towards them and said, just calm down, stop shouting. I turned around | :28:09. | :28:19.
again, and just caught this lad running past Paul, and just punched | :28:19. | :28:23.
in the street in the face. Because I didn't see it coming, he knocked me | :28:23. | :28:32.
out. He had no idea this guy was even coming at him. He ran up from | :28:32. | :28:38.
behind, and ran off straightaway, he didn't even stop. I tried to run | :28:38. | :28:47.
after him, so I didn't see Paul hit the floor. He was out cold.As I | :28:47. | :28:50.
turned around, he was just on the floor, and he just wasn't saying | :28:50. | :28:55.
anything. As he lay unconscious, the men turned their attention back to | :28:55. | :29:04.
Daniel. One began attacking him with his belt. But Laura's main concern | :29:04. | :29:09.
was her unconscious boyfriend. didn't really know what was going | :29:09. | :29:16.
on. The man whipped Daniel with his belt over and over again. The | :29:16. | :29:19.
attackers eventually gave up and ran off down Westgate Street. As they | :29:19. | :29:25.
fled, Paul was still unconscious on the pavement. I thought he might | :29:25. | :29:33.
have died. I had absolutely no idea. He didn't even have his eyes open. I | :29:33. | :29:43.
was terrified, absolutely terrified. Talk, please! | :29:43. | :29:52.
I just sat on the curb next to him. four weeks in hospital with serious | :29:52. | :29:59.
head injuries requiring surgery for a bleed on the brain. I had | :29:59. | :30:05.
fractures down the front of my face there and around there, and the | :30:05. | :30:10.
infection from my I got into my brain. He had to have a section of | :30:10. | :30:15.
his skull removed, and had to have more surgery to repair the damage. | :30:15. | :30:22.
One punch to the head has changed my life. Seven months have gone by. | :30:22. | :30:28.
From seven months, to me still sat here with my brain sticking out. | :30:28. | :30:32.
Paul is a self-employed electrician. Because part of his skull is | :30:32. | :30:35.
missing, it is not safe for him to work. He has relied on family and | :30:35. | :30:41.
friends for support. It was also had a devastating effect on Paul and | :30:41. | :30:47.
Laura's relationship, and they have now split up. It was a big change, | :30:47. | :30:51.
going from him looking after me all the time, and we were just living | :30:51. | :30:57.
together, to trying to manage everything for the both of us. Going | :30:57. | :31:04.
to work, looking after him. It was a big change to happen in such a small | :31:04. | :31:14.
:31:14. | :31:16. | ||
who attacked Paul. We need to find him. We need to show what these | :31:16. | :31:24.
assaults can do to people. I don't know how they'd feel if they | :31:24. | :31:31.
realised they almost killed me. needs some closure. They might not | :31:31. | :31:34.
realise what they have done. They might just think they had a bit of a | :31:34. | :31:40.
laugh. They don't realise someone nearly died as a result of their | :31:40. | :31:49.
actions. It would really mean a lot to find them. It is truly shocking | :31:49. | :31:53.
what happened to Paul after that single punch. DI Lloyd Williams is | :31:53. | :32:00.
with me. Somebody must have seen this attack. Yes, it's an extremely | :32:00. | :32:03.
serious assault, I believe must have been witnessed I members of the | :32:03. | :32:11.
public. It happened on Sunday the 28th of October. It runs alongside | :32:11. | :32:18.
one of the busiest streets in Cardiff. There are taxi ranks, bus | :32:18. | :32:24.
stops, fast-food joints, car parks. We are appealing for any witnesses, | :32:24. | :32:30.
from around the UK if you were in the city centre that night. It is | :32:30. | :32:37.
very busy in Cardiff, that part. Could it be somebody from across the | :32:37. | :32:44.
UK who could have witnessed this? Definitely. People come from all | :32:44. | :32:49.
over the UK to witness Cardiff. If you saw it get in touch. A serious | :32:49. | :32:55.
attack. Perhaps, witnesses will not realise how serious. It might just | :32:55. | :33:00.
seem like a normal fight. If you see the consequences, it adds a | :33:00. | :33:07.
devastating effect. Paul now finds day-to-day things harder to do. Very | :33:07. | :33:13.
serious injury. Belt was used in that attack on his friend as, | :33:13. | :33:22.
perhaps that would jog your memory. Unusual to see that. Let's head back | :33:22. | :33:30.
to those raids on suspected drug dealers in the South Wales Valleys. | :33:30. | :33:36.
Earlier, we saw the officers giving drug dealers and early morning | :33:36. | :33:46.
:33:46. | :33:46. | ||
wake-up call. We are just minutes away from the next location. There | :33:46. | :33:56.
:33:56. | :34:06. | ||
could be class a drugs on this upstairs and downstairs. Nobody is | :34:06. | :34:08.
home but the officers can immediately see obvious signs of | :34:08. | :34:18.
:34:18. | :34:22. | ||
drug use. This is the drug sniffing dog. It takes little time for him to | :34:22. | :34:32.
:34:32. | :34:38. | ||
detect a number of suspect items . It looks like young children stay at | :34:38. | :34:43.
the house and police are shocked when they search the bedrooms. | :34:43. | :34:53.
:34:53. | :34:54. | ||
Packages with traces of brown powder which could be heroin. This contains | :34:54. | :34:58.
used needles. Officers find hundreds of used needles in brooms which also | :34:58. | :35:05.
contained children's ties. -- needles in rooms. This officer is | :35:05. | :35:15.
:35:15. | :35:17. | ||
shocked. It is quite scary when you see things like that. I am shocked. | :35:17. | :35:27.
:35:27. | :35:30. | ||
It is quite annoying. There are signs of drug use throughout these | :35:30. | :35:37.
rooms, and a huge box of syringes which is quite shocking to see. Some | :35:37. | :35:45.
of them are uncovered and surrounded by children's toys. The police soon | :35:45. | :35:50.
make yet another discovery, a plastic bag with an unknown white | :35:50. | :35:58.
powder inside full is not it could be any number of drugs, glucose, or | :35:58. | :36:04.
other things. What are you going to do with that? This will be my | :36:04. | :36:13.
exhibit, take possession of this, and it will be sent off for | :36:13. | :36:22.
forensics analysis to tell us exactly what it is. Only time will | :36:22. | :36:25.
tell whether anyone will be held responsible for what has been | :36:25. | :36:34.
found. To bring you up to date, police are investigating their | :36:34. | :36:41.
findings following those raids. One woman is on police bail after being | :36:41. | :36:45.
arrested on suspicion of cannabis with intent to supply. Police are | :36:45. | :36:49.
still looking for one man with regards to that white powder that | :36:49. | :36:56.
was found in the house where there were needles among children's toys | :36:56. | :37:06.

stolen. We say it was taken along with two caravans. Cool as anything, | :37:20. | :37:27.
the driver fills the car with 70 worth of fuel. Without batting an | :37:27. | :37:32.
eyelid, he gets back into the car and drives off, making no attempt to | :37:32. | :37:42.
:37:42. | :37:43. | ||
pay. We need to catch him. Do you know who this is? It is midnight, in | :37:43. | :37:50.
London. The woman is in the process of taking money out at the cash | :37:50. | :37:55.
machine. All of a sudden, the man grabbed her around the neck and | :37:55. | :38:00.
pushes her away. He takes the 100 she has withdrawn and makes off with | :38:00. | :38:10.
it. Do you know this group? Give us a call. Watch closely on this one. | :38:10. | :38:13.
It is just after three in the morning and one sleeping passenger | :38:13. | :38:23.

call to make. Who is he? Give us a bell if you know. You can call us if | :38:50. | :38:57.

me what these can steal sometimes. Indeed. Please is Wales are | :39:16. | :39:19.
investigating after hundreds of slabs were stolen from a museum | :39:19. | :39:24.
here, a few miles from where I am now. These paving stones are 200 | :39:24. | :39:29.
years old. They are on the site of the museum which was the former | :39:29. | :39:39.
:39:39. | :39:41. | ||
China works. What happened? When we arrived to open the museum, we | :39:41. | :39:43.
opened and noticed some of the flagstones had been removed. That | :39:43. | :39:48.
aroused our suspicions. We soon discovered a large number of | :39:48. | :39:51.
flagstones had been moved from all around the house. It was | :39:51. | :39:55.
heartbreaking to see the devastation that they had caused to this | :39:55. | :40:01.
historic site. This happen overnight between the 24th and 25th of May. | :40:01. | :40:07.
Can you replace these flagstones? Very difficult if not impossible. | :40:07. | :40:14.
They have been therefore 200 years and they belong there. Thank you. | :40:14. | :40:17.
Inspector Nigel Griffiths is investigating this case. How on | :40:17. | :40:25.
earth did they get away with so many flagstones? These slabs would reach | :40:25. | :40:29.
an excess of 15 tonnes, so there is no doubt a would have a heavy goods | :40:29. | :40:35.
vehicle. A substantial team would have worked through the night to | :40:35. | :40:41.
remove the slabs. Why did they want to take them? Are they worth | :40:41. | :40:45.
anything? It is money. In the reclamation world, slabs like this | :40:45. | :40:52.
can reach that stand shall money. What would they do once the slabs | :40:52. | :41:00.
have been taken? They could be stolen to order, laid around | :41:00. | :41:04.
somebody's patio, because they are historic. It is not an isolated | :41:04. | :41:11.
case, is it? There are smaller report around the area. Half a dozen | :41:11. | :41:17.
flagstones were stolen. We have also had 50 plus stolen from this area. | :41:17. | :41:22.
Both sets of those were from householders. Private houses, that | :41:22. | :41:25.
must have been awful, people noticing that their patios had | :41:25. | :41:33.
disappeared. Yes, because these are irreplaceable. How is the | :41:33. | :41:37.
investigation going? We would like people to write in if they have | :41:37. | :41:43.
anything like this. Thank you. Look at these flagstones. If somebody | :41:43. | :41:48.
tried to lay your patio with them, get in touch. Time to give you an | :41:48. | :41:56.
update. Yesterday we showed you this space, accused of pushing an elderly | :41:56. | :42:01.
woman at the cash point. Lots of you getting in touch with information on | :42:01. | :42:06.
her. Hopefully she gets caught soon. Police are: Lee following up the | :42:06. | :42:14.
leaves on a man who snatched a handbag in Cardiff. He ended up | :42:14. | :42:24.
:42:24. | :42:24. | ||
using so much force, he broke this lady's fingers. -- police are | :42:24. | :42:34.

following up on the suggestions. That is -- that is asked, from | :42:37. | :42:45.
Cardiff, but we will be moving up north, we will find the men who | :42:45. | :42:49. |
