It's the last day of an action-packed series, | :00:00. | :00:00.
but we still need your help to stop criminals in their tracks. | :00:07. | :00:09.
The pensioner attacked in her home by a knife-wielding masked man. | :00:10. | :00:16.
I put in everything in my body into shaking this | :00:17. | :00:18.
knife out of his hand, until he dropped the knife. | :00:19. | :00:23.
Cracking down on counterfeits - we're with trading standards | :00:24. | :00:28.
as they seize a million pound's worth of dangerous, fake goods. | :00:29. | :00:31.
Michael Kors watches, GHD straighteners, an awful | :00:32. | :00:35.
And seeing as we spend a lot of time trying to catch criminals, | :00:36. | :00:43.
today I'm finding out exactly what happens when they're | :00:44. | :00:45.
Live for the next 45 minutes, you're watching Crimewatch Roadshow. | :00:46. | :01:16.
Hello and welcome to the very last programme in this series | :01:17. | :01:18.
Before we finish, let's see if we can catch a few more crims! | :01:19. | :01:24.
Also today... The dance school students whose cash | :01:25. | :01:27.
and costumes were stolen in the dead of night. | :01:28. | :01:33.
I opened the boot and everything's vanished. | :01:34. | :01:35.
All I did was scream, words couldn't come out. | :01:36. | :01:38.
The exotic eagles shot dead by an intruder at a bird sanctuary. | :01:39. | :01:48.
And can you name this doorstep scammer, tricking her way | :01:49. | :01:52.
Today the team have reached Cardiff Bay. | :01:53. | :02:00.
And, Tina, I hear your'e in a spot of bother? | :02:01. | :02:03.
Rav, I'm at Cardiff Bay police station, one | :02:04. | :02:08.
of the busiest in the UK - every week around 300 | :02:09. | :02:11.
people will end up here in the custody suite. | :02:12. | :02:15.
And this morning I'll be getting a real taste of what it's | :02:16. | :02:18.
But before all of that, police need your help to catch | :02:19. | :02:30.
the masked man who forced his way into a woman's home at knifepoint. | :02:31. | :02:43.
The village of Trinant near Pontypool in South Wales is home to | :02:44. | :02:52.
Carol and Paul Tobey. My husband and I have been married for 48 years. | :02:53. | :03:01.
And we've lived here since 1981. It is a lovely village. It's very quiet | :03:02. | :03:08.
here and it's as if you are, virtually, in the country. The | :03:09. | :03:11.
community does seem very safe, really. Everybody knows each other. | :03:12. | :03:14.
It always has seemed a lovely place. One morning back in March, before | :03:15. | :03:29.
going to work, Carol was on a computer. I was in the lounge and I | :03:30. | :03:34.
had opened up my laptop because I had been designing a card for my | :03:35. | :03:39.
husband's birthday, and I wanted it to be special. Birthday few moments | :03:40. | :03:47.
later, she was interrupted. And I thought who the devil is knocking on | :03:48. | :03:52.
my door this time in the morning? Because you don't normally get that | :03:53. | :03:58.
that early. Peering through the window, Carol didn't recognise her | :03:59. | :04:02.
visitor. When I first looked out and saw him, I could see a Red Hat and I | :04:03. | :04:09.
thought, oh, this is a delivery van is being can they leave a parcel for | :04:10. | :04:15.
next door. But it wasn't the postman. As Carol opened her front | :04:16. | :04:20.
door, a man wearing a red mask over his face pushed his way into the | :04:21. | :04:25.
house. All of a sudden he put his hand in the air, I could see this | :04:26. | :04:34.
knife in his hand. Which was... You know, you're not expecting that. At | :04:35. | :04:39.
that point I just felt that are not coming anywhere near me. 67-year-old | :04:40. | :04:46.
Carol bravely fought back, determined to disarm her attacker. I | :04:47. | :04:50.
put everything in my body into shaking this knife out of his hand. | :04:51. | :04:59.
Until he dropped the knife. The man picked up the blade and run away. | :05:00. | :05:05.
Carol grabbed her phone to call the police. Carol was the victim of a | :05:06. | :05:12.
horrendous act. The attacker was extremely shocked by the way that | :05:13. | :05:18.
Carol reacted. She kept calm in the situation. To fight off that guide | :05:19. | :05:22.
the way she did was absolutely phenomenal. Three months on, Carol | :05:23. | :05:30.
and Paul are trying to put this terrifying ordeal behind them. I try | :05:31. | :05:34.
not to dwell on it at all, but it is in your mind all the time. I think | :05:35. | :05:43.
she was very brave. This person, whoever years, he has put through | :05:44. | :05:51.
hell. -- whoever he is. And it is something that you would not expect | :05:52. | :05:58.
to happen in your own home. It is not a nice thing to go through at | :05:59. | :06:02.
all and I would hate to think of anybody else having to go through | :06:03. | :06:03.
it. Detective Cara Bafico | :06:04. | :06:04.
from Gwent Police is here. It's amazing that Carol fought | :06:05. | :06:08.
back in that situation? The fact she fought someone with a | :06:09. | :06:20.
knife, must have been extremely frightening for her. A very unusual | :06:21. | :06:25.
crime, particularly in this quiet area of Wales. We can see a map of | :06:26. | :06:30.
where it happened, talk is through the location? Trinant is a very | :06:31. | :06:35.
peaceful and safe community, very little crime, it is very unusual for | :06:36. | :06:39.
something to happen here. What do we know about the suspect? The fact | :06:40. | :06:45.
that he forced entry with a knife means the incident could have ended | :06:46. | :06:49.
completely differently to how it did. Carol described him as being | :06:50. | :06:54.
about five foot eight to nine, medium build, wearing dark clothing, | :06:55. | :06:58.
she described his voice is being fairly deep, a local Welsh accent | :06:59. | :07:04.
and he was wearing a red mask. The red mask is really unusual, Carol | :07:05. | :07:09.
described it as looking like a Morph suit? We have something similar, the | :07:10. | :07:15.
slit marks in the mask so he could look out but hiding his | :07:16. | :07:18.
identification. We are looking to anybody that has seen anybody in a | :07:19. | :07:24.
red Morph suit on the 31st of March 2017, about 8:30am, and obviously if | :07:25. | :07:30.
they saw anyone acting suspiciously, please contact us. If you can help, | :07:31. | :07:34.
please get in touch. Rav? Now detectives from the Met have | :07:35. | :07:36.
asked us to make an urgent appeal. This 92-year-old woman | :07:37. | :07:40.
was making her way along Hoxton Street in Hackney in north | :07:41. | :07:42.
London when a man grabbed her bag from behind and dragged her along | :07:43. | :07:45.
the road in a violent It happened just last | :07:46. | :07:48.
Tuesday at around 2:30pm. These images show the horrific | :07:49. | :07:52.
injuries the pensioner suffered. Detectives want your | :07:53. | :07:55.
help to find this man, 28-year-old Sanchez Edwards, | :07:56. | :07:57.
who they want to question He was a Bethnal Green Underground | :07:58. | :07:59.
station at 7pm last night. He's described as dangerous, | :08:00. | :08:12.
so, please, if you know Next, more crimes caught on camera | :08:13. | :08:14.
in our final CCTV round-up. The elderly man who owns this | :08:15. | :08:27.
property recently had some maintenance work done to his home. | :08:28. | :08:32.
Watch how one of the workmen comes to ask for payment from him for a | :08:33. | :08:43.
second time. Police say the pensioner was originally cold called | :08:44. | :08:45.
and pressured into having the necessary repair work. The man | :08:46. | :08:49.
claims money is still owed to the company but it has already been | :08:50. | :08:50.
paid. In fact, detectives say over ?6,000 | :08:51. | :09:04.
was obtained by fraudulently cashing cheques. Officers also want to speak | :09:05. | :09:08.
to these two men, who visited a month earlier to check on the work | :09:09. | :09:11.
that police say was shoddy and unnecessary. | :09:12. | :09:18.
Can you help name these men? We would love to hear from you. | :09:19. | :09:28.
What do we have here? These two blokes look like they desperately | :09:29. | :09:32.
want to break into this flat, and they seem to have found a novel way | :09:33. | :09:39.
to do it. No, a mop handle will not work! I wonder what they will try | :09:40. | :09:44.
next! That does not look like it is working, either. They have been here | :09:45. | :09:48.
for over an hour trying their luck, finally they break a pane of glass | :09:49. | :09:53.
in the door and let themselves in. Police have already caught burglar | :09:54. | :09:57.
number one, but they still need to get this man. He made off with more | :09:58. | :10:02.
than ?2000 worth of valuables. If you recognise him, you know what to | :10:03. | :10:04.
do. If you know anyone caught | :10:05. | :10:05.
on camera there there, Text CW, space and | :10:06. | :10:07.
then your message. Texts will be charged | :10:08. | :10:17.
at your standard message rate. Rav, I never thought I'd | :10:18. | :10:19.
be in this position - being booked in to custody | :10:20. | :10:30.
at a police station! And this is a real custody | :10:31. | :10:33.
suite in the heart of Cardiff Bay Police Station, | :10:34. | :10:37.
which is used when Here to guide me through the process | :10:38. | :10:39.
is Inspector Adrian Snook. You have done this for real many | :10:40. | :10:52.
times before, what will happen to me this morning? When your first | :10:53. | :10:56.
brought in, the arresting officer would tell the custody Sergeant why | :10:57. | :11:01.
you have been arrested, the custody Sergeant would explain your rights | :11:02. | :11:04.
and entitlements while in custody and ask a lot of medical questions | :11:05. | :11:09.
so we can treat any medical issues you might have asked in custody. I | :11:10. | :11:14.
am being filmed, cameras everywhere? It gives an openness and | :11:15. | :11:17.
transparency which we did not have in years gone by. Every is different | :11:18. | :11:30.
so you need to make a lot of decisions? We need to treat everyone | :11:31. | :11:32.
according to individual need. Let's assume I am well and is cooperating, | :11:33. | :11:35.
what happens? One of the officers would search you, they are looking | :11:36. | :11:38.
for mobile phones, drugs, anything that could be used to hurt staff or | :11:39. | :11:44.
yourself. And I clear? Good, what happens next? The process room, you | :11:45. | :11:49.
will have your finger prints, photographs and DNA taken. Time for | :11:50. | :11:53.
my close-up, I am having my mugshot taken in here. Custody officer | :11:54. | :12:00.
McCauley Jessup is here. Talk me see what happens. We get the offender to | :12:01. | :12:06.
take a seat, explain what is happening, we take the photograph, | :12:07. | :12:10.
the prints and the impression and you will go into the system to make | :12:11. | :12:15.
sure you are not involved in any outstanding crimes. Look at the top | :12:16. | :12:17.
circle for me, that will take your picture. I don't think you have my | :12:18. | :12:26.
best site! Fingerprints next. Pass me your index and forefingers. That | :12:27. | :12:34.
will come back with a response shortly, we will be able to confirm | :12:35. | :12:38.
your identity and make sure you are not involved in any outstanding | :12:39. | :12:44.
crimes. Later on, I will be breathalysed and locked up as well. | :12:45. | :12:47.
Right, lots more to come on the programme, including... | :12:48. | :12:51.
The fake workmen who bullied Irona into handing over | :12:52. | :12:53.
He said, "I have done the job and you have to pay me for it." | :12:54. | :13:02.
And the police aid convoy putting counterfeit clothing | :13:03. | :13:03.
to good use in some of the world's poorest countries. | :13:04. | :13:13.
Next, a really cruel attack against two defenceless birds of prey. | :13:14. | :13:17.
Last week, an intruder broke into the owl sanctuary in Ebbw Vale, | :13:18. | :13:21.
South Wales, and shot and killed two eagles. | :13:22. | :13:26.
It is called Festival Park Owl Sanctuary. | :13:27. | :13:29.
Their owner Patricia Webb is here now, along with sergeant | :13:30. | :13:39.
Neil Pigeon from Gwent Police, who is investigating the incident - | :13:40. | :13:42.
and two of the other beautiful birds from the sanctuary, | :13:43. | :13:44.
They are such gorgeous animals, it is a shop that anybody would want to | :13:45. | :13:52.
harm? The two Eagles, one was a step eagle from Russia and the other was | :13:53. | :13:57.
a tawny eagle from Africa. One of them was a birthday present when | :13:58. | :14:01.
Malcolm was 70. He is your partner. We can see a picture of him. He was | :14:02. | :14:06.
invited onto the programme and too upset because of what happens, | :14:07. | :14:12.
understandably. What happens? We were at a horse show on the | :14:13. | :14:18.
Saturday, we left the sanctuary at 6:30pm on Friday night, they were | :14:19. | :14:24.
fine, between that time... Sorry, between that time somebody claimed | :14:25. | :14:28.
in over the fence and kill the birds. And you discovered the | :14:29. | :14:33.
birds... The birds were dead. What did the vet who did the postmortem | :14:34. | :14:39.
say? That they had been shot. We could not wait until the vet had | :14:40. | :14:42.
done that before we phoned the police. I would like to add that the | :14:43. | :14:46.
police and general public have been fabulous, given us so much help. | :14:47. | :14:50.
They are still doing it. This must have been a massive shock? Just | :14:51. | :14:52.
awful. New comment you are interested in | :14:53. | :15:07.
this. This, the way that it happened, it is very unusual. | :15:08. | :15:20.
The models is unclear at this time. We believe that the individual | :15:21. | :15:25.
walked through and up some steps, shot the birds, we believe the birds | :15:26. | :15:30.
had been shot with an air weapon or a pistol. Someone has had to go past | :15:31. | :15:36.
many other birds that seemingly have been ignored in order to target | :15:37. | :15:41.
these eagles. And kill them. Which is just horrific. How can humans | :15:42. | :15:50.
help? Please come forward. We know the incident took place between | :15:51. | :15:55.
6:30pm on the 30th of June and 8am on the 1st of July. You think that | :15:56. | :16:01.
this is something in a twist of that someone may have bragged about? It | :16:02. | :16:04.
is these films you want to hear from? We were the location is close | :16:05. | :16:10.
to a local shopping centre, promote someone must know something. Let's | :16:11. | :16:14.
hope someone can help. Thank you so much for joining us. | :16:15. | :16:18.
Next, a major operation by trading standards and police to stop fake | :16:19. | :16:21.
and even dangerous goods hitting our streets. | :16:22. | :16:33.
Big-name brands from films tissues, what do they have in common? These | :16:34. | :16:39.
are counterfeits made by criminals to make a quick buck. They are | :16:40. | :16:44.
usually very shoddily made or worse. Much worse. This is a fake blender, | :16:45. | :16:54.
exploding seconds after the blade got stuck. Many counterfeits like | :16:55. | :16:58.
these phone chargers or her straighteners are missing vital | :16:59. | :17:03.
safety components found in the real thing. Causing them to overheat and | :17:04. | :17:10.
start fires. But who's supplying all these dodgy goods? Just before | :17:11. | :17:19.
Christmas police and trading standards officers hit the road to | :17:20. | :17:21.
catch the counterfeiting criminals in the act. Morning, guys, thank you | :17:22. | :17:33.
for turning up. It's three a.m., at a motorway service station near | :17:34. | :17:37.
Worcester. The team had been briefed on their mission to stop a convoy of | :17:38. | :17:40.
counterfeit goods making their way from the Midlands to Bristol. We | :17:41. | :17:45.
identified vehicles in your briefing packs, all of which are based on | :17:46. | :17:52.
intelligence. On the motorway police are lying in wait for any suspect | :17:53. | :17:57.
farms. It's not long before the first one is pulled over. And | :17:58. | :18:01.
trading standards moved in to search it. It's jam-packed full of footwear | :18:02. | :18:11.
and undoubtedly they are counterfeit. Just to let you know we | :18:12. | :18:21.
found counterfeit goods in the back of the fan, it's a criminal offence. | :18:22. | :18:26.
Soon the car park fills up with brands which police have ordered off | :18:27. | :18:30.
the motorway. It was like an Aladdin 's cave. Watches, her straighteners, | :18:31. | :18:40.
an awful lot of Apple charges. Big concern really, as far as safety is | :18:41. | :18:45.
concerned, really good to get it off the market. In total, five fans | :18:46. | :18:50.
packed with fake goods are seized and the drivers questioned. Very | :18:51. | :18:58.
pleased with what we've been able to take off the road today. | :18:59. | :19:06.
The operation was a massive success but prosecuting those responsible | :19:07. | :19:16.
will take time. Rhys Harries from Swansea trading standards department | :19:17. | :19:21.
showed us some of the hall. This is the majority of the stock seized | :19:22. | :19:29.
from France. Over 70 different brands in here, shoes, handbags, | :19:30. | :19:34.
perfumes, electrical items. Probably the total value we estimate is about | :19:35. | :19:41.
?1 million. Different types of watches, Armani, and what you may | :19:42. | :19:48.
note, all of these aren't working. By buying a counterfeit watch, they | :19:49. | :19:53.
may work in the short-term but shortly afterwards, they.. We have a | :19:54. | :20:00.
lot of these, USB Power adapters. As you can see, like a sort of iPhone | :20:01. | :20:05.
plug and we have serious concerns over their safety. To investigate | :20:06. | :20:15.
further the plugs are sent for a series of specialist safety tests. | :20:16. | :20:21.
I'm just opening up the body of this charger. This has the potential to | :20:22. | :20:27.
be lethal, because this worrying here which carries mains voltage | :20:28. | :20:31.
from the plugs to the circuit board is single inch elation. The chargers | :20:32. | :20:38.
plugged in to see what happens. It lasts just a few minutes. It's gone. | :20:39. | :20:46.
Voltage breakdown test to see how the plug would cope with a surge in | :20:47. | :20:55.
mains power. This circuit board is inherently unsafe as it's allowing | :20:56. | :21:00.
mains voltage to break down or pass over to the USB output socket which | :21:01. | :21:06.
means the circuit itself or any cable attached to it or metal body | :21:07. | :21:10.
phone attached to it could potentially become live in the event | :21:11. | :21:15.
of using this charger. Buying a fake may seem like a bargain and look | :21:16. | :21:19.
like the real deal but you could be putting your life at risk. | :21:20. | :21:25.
Well joining me in the police interview room is Graham Mogg, | :21:26. | :21:28.
who is an ex-South Wales Police officer himself. | :21:29. | :21:29.
He works for a number of high-profile brands | :21:30. | :21:31.
We were part of that operation was. Is this problem getting worse? Yes, | :21:32. | :21:45.
thousands of goods entering the UK on a daily basis. There have been | :21:46. | :21:49.
other operations to target counterfeit goods, happened there? | :21:50. | :21:55.
The anti-counterfeiting group supports police and trading | :21:56. | :21:57.
standards to remove these products off the street, in December alone | :21:58. | :22:02.
120,000 counterfeit items seized. You have brought some fake goods | :22:03. | :22:06.
with you, how big a difference as there are between the real thing and | :22:07. | :22:11.
the fakes? Depends on the product, difficult for a shopper to identify | :22:12. | :22:18.
a counterfeit. Safety aspect, this is fake, no friction, it will not | :22:19. | :22:24.
starve because when you applied the brakes. What is this? A bit of a | :22:25. | :22:32.
twist, garage service stamp, people selling these online, use them to | :22:33. | :22:37.
put on the service stamp of cars so it will appear from the seller car | :22:38. | :22:40.
it has a full service history. They look like the real deal. They do, | :22:41. | :22:46.
people forget they have a safety aspect to them, banned substances | :22:47. | :22:49.
used to convert the materials which could be harmful to the consumer. | :22:50. | :23:02.
Later it will see hiring cached counterfeit items are seized to help | :23:03. | :23:07.
less fortunate people. Well, it's not just fake goods | :23:08. | :23:09.
you have to watch out for - it's also scammers trying to rip | :23:10. | :23:13.
people off on their doorsteps. But the police are using | :23:14. | :23:16.
new techniques to try to catch I felt threatened, intimidated but I | :23:17. | :23:25.
think he was used to that. I was nothing to him. I was just money. | :23:26. | :23:39.
Last summer and 69-year-old Antoinette Healy was returning to | :23:40. | :23:42.
her Swansea home after meeting friends. As I was letting myself in | :23:43. | :23:51.
through the door, there was a young gentleman coming down the drive. | :23:52. | :24:00.
Asked if I would like to have my drive and patios washed. He did seem | :24:01. | :24:06.
quite genuinely nice and I said, well, I'm thinking of it, so how | :24:07. | :24:10.
much would you charge? And he said it would be ?150, I said, that | :24:11. | :24:18.
sounds reasonable. So, I said yes, OK, you can do that for 150. But | :24:19. | :24:26.
after agreeing the price, to mark all other men suddenly appeared. The | :24:27. | :24:31.
men followed me into the garage. And they said how much did he called | :24:32. | :24:38.
you? For doing this. I said 150. And they said, he's made a mistake, it's | :24:39. | :24:42.
much more than that. And he said, its ?5,000. And I said, I can't pay | :24:43. | :24:55.
that much, I just can't. He said, eventually, 2500 and eight redesign | :24:56. | :24:58.
everything, it would look like new and I said, OK. But he said we have | :24:59. | :25:04.
got to have the money today. She says she felt pressured to go to the | :25:05. | :25:06.
bank to the cash. By the time she returned she'd had | :25:07. | :25:21.
second thoughts. But one of the men demanded she pay up. I said, you | :25:22. | :25:26.
haven't done the work. They'd done nothing, the drive was exactly the | :25:27. | :25:33.
same as it was. He said, we have, I said, no, you haven't. He said, I've | :25:34. | :25:37.
done the job and you have to pay me for it. I suddenly got afraid. I | :25:38. | :25:46.
didn't feel that I had any choice but to give them the money. I just | :25:47. | :25:51.
felt completely intimidated. I stayed in the garage for the next | :25:52. | :25:57.
two and a half hours, just in case they were still out there. After the | :25:58. | :26:07.
incident South Wales Police prismatic crime reduction team that | :26:08. | :26:10.
had a special security camera in her home, designed to catch crooks in | :26:11. | :26:17.
the act. This camera is a concealed camera dice, quite often disguised | :26:18. | :26:22.
to look like an everyday household object. They will keep targeting the | :26:23. | :26:26.
same person, makes it very difficult, we can't be there 24 | :26:27. | :26:31.
hours a day, seven days a week, the use of technology means we can | :26:32. | :26:34.
capture the images we need to prosecute people when they do | :26:35. | :26:39.
return. Eight few miles away police that a device in the home of a | :26:40. | :26:44.
vulnerable 88-year-old man who'd been repeatedly targeted by a gang | :26:45. | :26:50.
of fraudsters. In December the camera captured a visit from a young | :26:51. | :26:52.
woman, claiming But the woman wasn't from the bank | :26:53. | :27:12.
and after just a minute, she left. The man puts Mac bank card was later | :27:13. | :27:17.
used to withdraw cash and make expensive purchases. We believe over | :27:18. | :27:22.
a two-year period, fraudsters have taken in excess of 13 and a half | :27:23. | :27:26.
thousand pounds from the victim. The female on the CCTV footage is white, | :27:27. | :27:33.
aged between 18 and 30, five medium build, dark shoulder-length hair. We | :27:34. | :27:37.
would urge the public to come forward with any information and | :27:38. | :27:41.
whether they know this female, she is a person of interest for our | :27:42. | :27:42.
investigation. And the 88 year old victim had | :27:43. | :27:47.
thousands of pounds taken from his bank account, | :27:48. | :27:51.
over a two year period. Police think a gang was responsible | :27:52. | :27:53.
and would very much like to speak to the woman you saw there on CCTV | :27:54. | :27:56.
who claimed to be from the bank. If you know who she is - | :27:57. | :28:00.
please come forward. With me now is Tony Pain, | :28:01. | :28:05.
from South Wales Police's Crime Remind us again of that first case | :28:06. | :28:08.
in the film, Irona Heeley, who was subjected to the driveway | :28:09. | :28:13.
cleaning scam in July last year. We are looking for three tanned, | :28:14. | :28:27.
white males, the first described as 18 years old, the second has blonde | :28:28. | :28:34.
hair, a muscular build, aged between 28 and 30, the third described as | :28:35. | :28:37.
having brunette hair and of the same age. We so there you were using | :28:38. | :28:44.
special head and cameras, fitted in the homes of vulnerable people, why | :28:45. | :28:48.
are they useful? They provide reassurance for the victim and they | :28:49. | :28:53.
help us provide the evidence on the offenders, we are aware this type of | :28:54. | :28:56.
criminal frequently calls back and it helps us get the evidence to | :28:57. | :29:02.
catch the people responsible. How successful have they been? Very | :29:03. | :29:06.
successful. We put them in phone intelligence says someone is likely | :29:07. | :29:10.
to be targeted again and they are very good. What should people do if | :29:11. | :29:14.
they are worried about themselves or another vulnerable person being | :29:15. | :29:18.
targeted in this way? What advice would you give them. Firstly | :29:19. | :29:23.
reported using the 101 phone system or in an 999. You have 14 days | :29:24. | :29:33.
cancellation rights when people called call, give yourself time, get | :29:34. | :29:35.
a second opinion. There are organisations at the that can give | :29:36. | :29:38.
you advice, you can call citizens advice bureau, trading standards. | :29:39. | :29:43.
Thank you, great advice. If you had been a victim of any crime you can | :29:44. | :29:58.

If you know where any of these faces are, make sure you get in touch | :31:01. | :31:05.
using the numbers on screen. Now one, reason you might end up | :31:06. | :31:07.
in a custody suite like this is if the police suspect you've been | :31:08. | :31:10.
driving under the influence Could we put any stats | :31:11. | :31:13.
here about how common this is, With me is PC Liam Buttle | :31:14. | :31:17.
from the Roads Policing Unit. You are about to test me. How would | :31:18. | :31:28.
it work if you stop me and thought I was drink-driving? Wiki Way screen | :31:29. | :31:30.
test using this device on the roadside. Shall be put in 21 years | :31:31. | :31:39.
of age? Let's go for that! A nice lungful of breath, put your mouth on | :31:40. | :31:43.
the tube and breathe until I ask you to stop. Lovely, thank you. It has | :31:44. | :31:51.
shown me that the sample has been taken, it will analyse your breath | :31:52. | :31:56.
and hopefully soon it should say zero. Great stuff! If you were | :31:57. | :32:00.
positive, we would bring you into the station and use this machine, a | :32:01. | :32:06.
further two breath samples, and those are the two that would be used | :32:07. | :32:10.
in court as evidence. That is more accurate. And you are doing more and | :32:11. | :32:17.
more drug testing for drivers? We use the drug swipe for drugs. This | :32:18. | :32:23.
is quite simple, we take this off here, take some saliva, we swipe it | :32:24. | :32:28.
on your tongue, it goes back into the device and we would wait for | :32:29. | :32:33.
eight minutes, we did this one previously, two red lines, it has | :32:34. | :32:37.
tested for cannabis and cocaine and if it was positive for either you | :32:38. | :32:42.
would get a secondary red line onto the device. At that point you | :32:43. | :32:56.
would be arrested and brought here to take a blood sample for analysis. | :32:57. | :33:00.
The good news is I have passed both tests! With flying colours. This is | :33:01. | :33:03.
a pretty rough day at the office, I have had my fingerprints taken, been | :33:04. | :33:05.
handcuffed, been breathalysed. What next?! | :33:06. | :33:10.
Now a sneaky theft which Latin dances devastated. Lisa Clarke runs | :33:11. | :33:17.
a dance school in Cardiff. I have been running at four near enough 22 | :33:18. | :33:22.
years. It is quite full-time, classes, evenings and weekends. The | :33:23. | :33:27.
students work hard, they are from all different areas and backgrounds. | :33:28. | :33:33.
The parents pay a lot for their costumes, the competitions, their | :33:34. | :33:37.
exams. They all want their children to do very, very well. | :33:38. | :33:44.
Last Halloween, the dance school had raised funds to enter a competition. | :33:45. | :33:49.
That night, Lisa parked her car outside her home and went to bed. | :33:50. | :33:55.
But a few hours later she was woken by a strange noise. I woke in the | :33:56. | :34:00.
early hours of the morning, heard some wrestling and clicking noises. | :34:01. | :34:05.
I opened the curtains, couldn't see nothing whatsoever. CCTV caught | :34:06. | :34:10.
something. A man opening Lisa's car. There was | :34:11. | :34:24.
no damage to the car, it looks like the suspect has used an electronic | :34:25. | :34:28.
key fob to gain access without the owner's permission. | :34:29. | :34:37.
The man stole a heavy box from the boot. | :34:38. | :34:53.
Inside was ?2500 in cash, belonging to the dance school. Valuable | :34:54. | :35:00.
costumes worth hundreds of pounds each were also stolen. CCTV shows | :35:01. | :35:09.
the man making several trips to the car. His final visit will cut Lisa. | :35:10. | :35:15.
I heard the same noise again. The man suddenly run. That is when my | :35:16. | :35:19.
husband got up and went to check the car. With no obvious sign of | :35:20. | :35:24.
break-in, Lisa's husband presumed everything was fine. The next | :35:25. | :35:31.
morning, Lisa discovered the theft. I opened the boot and everything had | :35:32. | :35:37.
vanished. All I did was screen. Words could not come out. -- all I | :35:38. | :35:43.
did was scream. I kept thinking it was parents' hard work. They save so | :35:44. | :35:50.
much to help their children. I was devastated. | :35:51. | :36:00.
Please get in touch if you know who stole the dance group's casual | :36:01. | :36:03.
costumes. -- cash or costumes. Police are also keen to trace this | :36:04. | :36:08.
man as a potential witness - he passed Lisa's house just a couple | :36:09. | :36:11.
of minutes before the theft, You can call us on the usual | :36:12. | :36:14.
number, or you can also Now we saw earlier how trading | :36:15. | :36:18.
standards teams and police around the country are regularly | :36:19. | :36:23.
seizing counterfeit goods. And if you're wondering what happens | :36:24. | :36:24.
to all those clothes and shoes with fake logos, | :36:25. | :36:27.
well, my next guest David Scott is the Chairman of the | :36:28. | :36:29.
National Police Aid convoy is here. We met you right back on the very | :36:30. | :36:41.
first episode of the series, you were just about to go to Zambia on a | :36:42. | :36:45.
very special trip, you promise to come back. You only landed a few | :36:46. | :36:50.
hours ago, how was it? Wonderful, thank you. We went to Eastern | :36:51. | :36:58.
province in Zambia. Very remote, replaces. You were going to deliver | :36:59. | :37:04.
supplies, lots of them were clothes. There are lovely images of you | :37:05. | :37:07.
giving up the clothes. It must have been really, really gratefully | :37:08. | :37:11.
received. Very satisfying to see the end of the long process. Lots of the | :37:12. | :37:18.
clothing you have was from criminal activity? Stolen or counterfeit | :37:19. | :37:21.
goods certified fit to travel out there, then it is used as barter, | :37:22. | :37:25.
payment for Labour, never given away. I know some children were | :37:26. | :37:31.
particularly pleased with what you did for them, they wrote you a | :37:32. | :37:37.
gorgeous song which we can see. # We thank you. | :37:38. | :37:53.
That must have been pretty moving? Yes, unexpected, very touching. | :37:54. | :37:57.
These people have nothing, they must have been so grateful you are able | :37:58. | :38:02.
to give them something? Grateful for the school equipment, for the | :38:03. | :38:06.
clothing, for the men to Labour. They are not just given anything, | :38:07. | :38:13.
they had to earn it? It has to be earned, the local PTA will engage | :38:14. | :38:16.
people. The clothes take on a value far more than they do here. People | :38:17. | :38:22.
will dig latrines all day for some trainers for his son to go to | :38:23. | :38:30.
school. You have an appeal for something else you would like people | :38:31. | :38:36.
to donate? It is called the Cinderella appeal, appealing for | :38:37. | :38:39.
once worn wedding dresses or sample wedding dresses to inspire girls to | :38:40. | :38:43.
go to the clinic, the places where they will work on them and borrow | :38:44. | :38:47.
one if they want one to wear for a special day, girls who have never | :38:48. | :38:52.
seen a white wedding dress. It is inspirational. It does not have to | :38:53. | :38:57.
be a wedding dress, a ball gown or something? Ball gown, prom dress, | :38:58. | :39:00.
mother of the bride dresses, these girls would love to walk on -- to | :39:01. | :39:05.
work on them. People can look at the website to see how to donate them. | :39:06. | :39:11.
Thank you for coming to Sears. My pleasure. Back to Tina the slammer. | :39:12. | :39:15.
-- in the slammer. Well, I'm in one of the cell areas | :39:16. | :39:17.
in this police custody suite. My breakfast has just arrived. There | :39:18. | :39:28.
are cameras everywhere, my loo is on the right, my bed. It is pretty | :39:29. | :39:29.
cosy. With me again is | :39:30. | :39:30.
Inspector Adrian Snook. What have I got? The all-day | :39:31. | :39:37.
breakfast, sausages, beans and potatoes, one of the most popular | :39:38. | :39:43.
dishes. It does not look that appetising? You would be | :39:44. | :39:46.
disappointed in a hotel but we have had no complaints and it keeps | :39:47. | :39:51.
people fall in custody. It must be a logistical nightmare having to feed | :39:52. | :39:55.
all the suspects? We keep a big stock of food which does not have to | :39:56. | :40:01.
be refrigerated, it is long life, we cater for religious and dietary | :40:02. | :40:04.
requirements. I suppose I should tasted. Not the best. Let's move on | :40:05. | :40:12.
from the food. What else do you do before I come here? We ask you | :40:13. | :40:19.
additional questions about health and well-being, if it is deemed you | :40:20. | :40:22.
might be a risk to yourself we put you in a suit to prevent you from | :40:23. | :40:27.
harming yourself in the cell. That look sturdy. My bed does not look | :40:28. | :40:32.
comfortable? We don't get too many complaints and we can give you a | :40:33. | :40:36.
blanket if you needed. Shall I save you some, Rav? | :40:37. | :40:38.
Time now for our last look at what's been coming | :40:39. | :40:41.
Yet another arrest, this is one of our Wanted Faces, a man wanted in | :40:42. | :40:51.
connection with a shooting who has been charged, he is being held on a | :40:52. | :40:55.
manned. You might on the Wii is to be your help after Sally Hawkins was | :40:56. | :41:00.
one of 16 victims of a serial sex offender who was exposing himself to | :41:01. | :41:06.
women in Dorset. Officers say they are chasing a potentially strong | :41:07. | :41:07.
leads, great news. Well, that's almost the end | :41:08. | :41:08.
of the road for this series Good morning and welcome to a | :41:09. | :41:29.
brand-new of Crimewatch Roadshow. Even the smallest microscopic clues | :41:30. | :41:32.
can make all the difference. How they turned pubs like this one | :41:33. | :41:39.
into professional police dogs. I stalled! | :41:40. | :41:44.
You have brought in some items which were clearly not be stolen by | :41:45. | :41:48.
joyriders. It is a very different type of shower. Very different. I am | :41:49. | :41:54.
good at brushing. Definitely some of the cutest guests | :41:55. | :41:59.
we have had. We are talking! That was great. | :42:00. | :42:04.
The cutest new additions to the police dog unit. | :42:05. | :42:11.
But there's a bit of a tight squeeze. I would not want to be | :42:12. | :42:21.
somebody Olaf is chasing. Blood turn around and face the wall. | :42:22. | :42:27.
Let's see what she can do. Some very special guests are | :42:28. | :42:28.
wheeling into the studio. Yes, we've travelled the length | :42:29. | :42:33.
and breadth of the country, working I have to say the most | :42:34. | :42:45.
memorable moment for me was really crucial appeals - | :42:46. | :42:50.
with arrests on crimes including Thanks Tina, and thank you for all | :42:51. | :43:03.
of your calls during the series. They really do make | :43:04. | :43:11.
all the difference. And you'll still be able see lots | :43:12. | :43:13.
more of our appeals online. Our website and phonelines will | :43:14. | :43:16.
remain open for the next fortnight. But that's everything | :43:17. | :43:18.
for this series. We'll leave you with a final look | :43:19. | :43:20.
at this morning's Wanted Faces. If any of them look familiar, | :43:21. | :43:23.
I think you know what to do. Until next time, from | :43:24. | :43:26.
everyone here, take care. Madonna has launched her own range | :43:27. | :44:11.
of booted orphans. | :44:12. | :44:15. |
