Does she like to go on adventures at night-time outside?

-Yeah. Mostly in the night and in the day she sleeps.

I bet she also, after a big adventure, likes to come home

-and make herself nice and clean.

Cats have rough tongues to take dirt

and loose hair out of their coats and they do it

to put their own smell back on to their coat

and get rid of other smells.

Cats are interesting for all sorts of reasons.

Ferne, can you give us some fun facts about our furry friend?

Baby cats are called kittens.

These little ones are just five weeks old.

Cats are brilliant at climbing and balancing.

They use their long tails to help them to balance.

Most cats have excellent eyesight.

They see much better in the dark than we can.

Cats have very good hearing.

They can turn their ears towards a sound to hear it better.

So is it playtime with Sparkles yet?

No. We have to do some jobs for her.

We have to clean Sparkles' litter tray.

When feeding your cat, it's important to make sure

they get a variety of foods,

because cats wouldn't make good vegetarians.

They're actually carnivores.

Aarini, do you know what a carnivore is?

It's something that eats meat.

That's right. Something that eats meat.

-It's soft food.

-Yeah, soft food for Sparkles.

because she lets us give her a wee stroke under her.

where it was icy.

And she would skate to different rooms,

so she can check everything is going right.

She would turn into a groundhog

and go under the ice to make sure all the patients are fine.

The noise from the bell on this collar

will also help to warn birds that a cat is nearby.

Oh, a pink sparkly collar. And it matches your cardigan.

That's brilliant!

It's important to make sure your cat's wearing a collar,

because a collar allows you to tell your cat apart from others.

It also means that if your cat gets lost,

and there's a name tag on it, your cat can be found again.

Remember, if your cat is wearing a collar,

change the size of it as the size of your cat changes as well.

make sure it's OK with the owner.
