It's morning at Lowick School.

The older children are helping the younger ones with their reading.

Justice is listening to Mitchell read.

She's going to read to Dorrit.

THEY CHATTER

-Yeah.

Over on the island school, the children are arriving.

"Hello, Callum", says Gabriel.

There's Emma, ready to greet Connor.

What's that first bit, then?

Mr Sayer, the teacher, is helping Callum learn his letters.

Look. There are Justice and Mitchell.

They're leading the children onto the bus to go on a special

trip to the island.

Come on, Abbey. Are you ready? Up you go. That's it.

Mitchell and Justice sit together.

And so do Jonathan and Abbey.

They can cross to the island because the tide is out

and the sea isn't covering the road.

The children already on Holy Island are waiting for their classmates.

OK. Let's go.

Give it a push. And off we go.

CHILDREN CHATTER

Everyone has to find a friend to walk with.

Look! Can you see the beach and the sea?

After walking to the beach, time for a picnic lunch.

Rub your hands together and that will get rid of all the germs.

And before lunch, clean hands, please!

Hang onto your lunch, Abbey!

In my tummy.

Oh, dear. Mitchell is having trouble opening his lunchbox.

He's done it. Now he can tuck into his sandwiches.

EXCITED CHATTER

After lunch, there is a big job to do.

The beach is covered in litter.

And the children are going to pick it up.

We're going to get a bin bag from here.

Remember, we're looking to pick up lots of bits of plastic.

Jonathan and Abbey are going to work together.

-Come on, we need to wait across here...

-So are Mitchell and Justice.

-Everyone gets a litter picking stick.

We take it in turns to pick up a bit of rubbish. OK?

So, we'll go over here and collect...

Good girl.

The children have worked hard.

Just look how the bin bags are filling up.

Now the beach is clean, it's time to pick up more bits and pieces.

But this time to make something very special back at school.

So nothing too heavy.

awfully tiring on the way home.

THEY CHATTER

Mrs Fieldhouse is right over there.

-No, don't rub your eyes.

-Oh, wind has blown sand into Abbey's eyes.

-And Mrs Edmondson is there to help.

-Got sand in her eyes.

OK? Keep blinking!

Do not rub them, don't. OK?

THEY CHATTER

Before leaving the beach there is one last job. Picture time.

On the sand with your legs crossed.

And say sandy sausages. ALL: Sandy sausages!

Look! All the bits and pieces from the beach are back in

-Mrs Fieldhouse's classroom.

-All the things we collected from the beach.

We are going to try and make together

our school badge.

They're meant to be the water on the badge...

-See the glass on top is supposed to be the sky.

-Exactly.

So, we've used glass, bits of brick, we have used mussel shells,

pebbles, we have used shells in the middle to make Cuthbert's cross.

Since this one has lasted

so long I thought wouldn't it be nice to make the Lowick badge?

It is messy work, so Abbey wears an apron.

Oh, yeah.

Maybe you should leave those for our cross on the badge.

CHILDREN CHATTER

And we'll spread the glue...

Mrs Fieldhouse will need lots of help with the big badge.

-First, some sticky glue.

-Into there, that's it.

-And some green coloured sand.

-Watch you don't kneel in there.

Try and get all of that covered, that's it.

-Oh, Charlie. Have you come to help?

-Around with the brick.

OK, you've got some shorter pieces and this nice, long

piece in the middle.

And then would that piece go there?

-Finished sticking these. Were there any more mussels?

-Oh, here's some.

-Excellent, Emily. Pass them over, darling.

The Lowick School badge is almost finished.

-Just one last bit.
