Episode 4 And They're Off... for Sport Relief

Hello, and welcome to And They're Off For Sport Relief,

the show where five famous faces take on each other

and a load of mud and water, in a series of epic races.

And in the studio, we have five contestants

all hoping to pick the winners for the chance to win an amazing prize.

Plus, we are here to raise lots of money for Sport Relief,

and you at home can do your bit and donate.

Details of how to do so will be coming up later in the show.

But now, it's time to meet the five players

all hoping to be quick off the blocks tonight.

First up, we have Kelly, she's a brand ambassador from Newcastle.

Next up, meet Tari, an estate agent from London.

Our third player tonight is Gina, she's an A&E nurse from Glasgow.

Fourth in, it's Richard, our house husband from London.

And finally Shannon, our lifestyle blogger from Devon.

So, we have met our contestants,

now it's time to meet the celebrities

who'll be racing for them tonight.

First up, we have a rugby league great for Widnes and Wigan,

it's Martin Offiah.

He's so fast, the fans named him Chariots Offiah,

but can he speed his way to victory today?

Next up, from The Saturdays,

it's pop star and presenter Frankie Bridge.

We've seen her singing and dancing,

but will she head to the finish line kicking and screaming?

Now for our second rugby legend.

It's Ben Cohen, a World Cup winner

with England in 2003,

and with Big Ben in the competition, this could be a proper ding-dong.

Next, we have TV presenter Jenny Powell

or as we like to call her, J Po.

She's looking quietly confident,

but will the others get together and knock Jenny off her block?

Finally, the competition had better watch out,

because this competitor is 100% muscle.

Sorry, not muscle - Russell. He's 100% Russell.

So, here is how the game works.

Our celebrities will be going head-to-head in some muddy,

quite marvellous races.

In every race, each of you will be represented by one of them,

but you'll have to earn the right to pick a celeb.

If you pick the loser, you are out of the game.

Let's have a look at the first race

with our resident Olympian showing us how it's done.

Our race demonstrator is Daryll Neita,

Olympic sprinter and world relay silver-medallist.

And our first race is The Mud Run.

It's a simple test of speed and power,

and celebrities need to sprint 50m to the finish,

but avoid getting stuck in the three mud pits.

They'll need to be strong and focused

to make it to the end of the course. If they get stuck in the mud,

they'll need to haul themselves out and keep going

till they reach the finish line.

Race one is the magnificent Mud Run.

Let's have a look at the runners and riders, then.

Frankie flexes nervously.

Ben, all muscly!

Martin waits tensely.

Jenny stands proudly,

and Russell thinks he's Bruce Lee.

Crikey, I hope he hasn't hurt himself.

No, he seems ready.

-HORN BLARES

-And they're off!

Ben is straight out of the blocks

and he's ready to attack this first pit.

There he goes, but Martin Offiah has cleared the pit

like it was actually on fire.

-SQUELCH

-Wow, that was amazing!

Russell Kane trying to stay on his feet there.

Forget Bruce Lee, that's more like Rusty Lee.

You have to say Offiah's really got the hang of this.

Look at Jenny Powell, she's keeping pace with him!

They're both out of that pit, so is Ben.

Russell into pit two,

has a new technique, like a sort of frightened child.

It's not a good technique, that, but it is new.

Frankie catching up - can she clear it?

Well, no, she's only just made it in.

Martin, however, is out!

He dives across the line like he's scoring a try.

So does Ben. It's like they're back at Twickenham,

except you don't get Jenny Powell leaping over the line there,

so we win. Russell, Frankie, who's going to be last?

Russell's got one more pit to clear. He sort of lies down in it.

Frankie's just behind him, though.

She really needs to catch him up here,

but Russell is out. He's out and Frankie's very much in.

She is in.

And Russell sprints to the line.

Nothing can stop him now, apart from overzealous showboating.

Well, there's a little wiggle there,

but he falls backwards across the line,

which means that Frankie is quite literally last.

And our Chariots Offiah, Martin Offiah, on top there.

-Well done!

-He was so fast.

-He was brilliant, wasn't he?

just to make it across, because if they hit the water,

they're back to the start.

Martin's making really heavy work of these donuts,

hauling himself on to number three there.

Martin Chariots Offiah might have been quicker if he'd done this

in an actual chariot, but he's going to make it out.
