-raise the profile of watersports.

-This festival is fantastic

-for promoting watersports.

-It's a fantastic atmosphere and we

-showcase what the area has to offer.

-This is something very special

-for North Wales.

-It's brought the fine weather...

-..and attracts a lot of people to

-show what North Wales has to offer.

-and dairy free.

-We also have pies for vegans.

-My son has followed a gluten free

-I had to cook for him.

-It's very relaxed.

-Why did you decide

-to set up the business, Angharad?

-The main reason was my desire

-to return to North Wales.

-I couldn't move my job

-from Cardiff to Bangor...

-..and I wanted to try something

-totally different.

-Like a lot of people in business,

-I saw a gap in the market.

-Differing from the norm,

-Angharad didn't open a shop...

-..but set up a website

-to sell her produce.

-I produced websites for the BBC

-so that wasn't totally new for me.

-The main advantage was that I could

-start and run the business anywhere.

-I actually ran my business in my

-spare room at home for six years...

-..before moving to the shop at Parc

-Glynllifon near Caernarfon.

-Angharad started the company

-ten years ago...

-..the market for Welsh gifts

-has totally changed.

-Ten years ago,

-it took months to find suppliers...

-..who made items that met the

-strict criterion we have at Adra.

-Everything we sell

-either has to be made in Wales...

-..is created by Welsh designers

-or features the Welsh language.

-Ten years ago, the website

-only had about 30 items.

-Today, we sell over 1,400 items

-and stock even more at Christmas...

-..because more suppliers

-are making Welsh-themed items.

-The milestone was marked by a

-tea party with scrumptious cakes...

-..as well as a singing and poetry

-writing workshop with Anni Llyn...

-Placenames are part of the Welsh

-language, heritage and landscape.

-We tend to ignore them

-as we pass them on the road.

-There's a wealth of history

-behind each place name.

-It also proves that Welsh

-is still alive in the area.

-It was important to devise a book

-depicting the local history.

-You can roam the area with it

-and find out facts about Pencoed.

-These names are part of our language

-and are visible to use every day.

-Learners and children discover

-the local history at the same time.

-The aim is to partner the

-Welsh language initiative...
